| According to the official website, the winner of World Cosplay Summit 2009 Championship was Japan. ＹｕＲi and RiE dressed in costumes of Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune. The runners-up was Spain (in Candy Candy costumes) and US in Cardcaptor Sakura costumes won the Brother Prize. 30 people from 15 countries participated in the championship. | i wish there were better pictures.. i'm too lazy to figure out the japanese to get that player or whatever it was to watch the movies. the costumes do look amazing from what i can tell. it's very difficult to choose the right fabric/color. x_x |

| Nice...Can't get the player working...Neither can I read wtf it's saying. Such a sad thing that the pictures aren't good enough to have a look on the cosplayers. Sengoku Basara getting more popular these days and will only get more as 2010 arrives, new game, new anime...Lol more Engrish and poinltess brawls. Just get on the movies and install whatever pops up...Should be working eventually. I think there should be 2 things >.> Yukimura was a woman...I think...Dunno |

| I've been following the cosplay competition on this site http://www.girlsentertainmentnetwork.com/category/cosplay/ unfortunately at this time, they have yet to update it and post the winner. You can look through all the recent article though. There was very impressive cosplay. |

| Japan is not the winner every year. If i'm not wrong, Brazil won in 2006 and 2008. France in 2007. And i think Italy won too, but i can't remember the year, but it was with Georgia, in Siren cosplay from Devilman. |
