I just want to know which way of communication you prefer to have your battles. There may be a limited number of choices to choose from, so just tell me what to add and I'll add it.

I prefer IRC because I always turn it on and it's one of the best ways to chat. You have everyone in the channel and you can speak to everyone, and if you want to talk privately, you can.

hamachi cuz its really reliable to speak with everyone and since some people cant host they can host when they fight vs someone

I feel comfortable with Hamachi..
Irc is good but people have really hard time to learn and use.. and how to get to the room!

Yeah, it's bothersome that so many people thinks IRC is super hard nerd spec, and thus gets scared of it. I have to agree that there's some kind of comfort involved in Hamachi, but there's still so many restrictions that makes it bothersome as well.

Only thing I don't use is Personal Meetings (at least not for everyone) and IRC. Never got into the whole IRC thing.

Never got into it? It's been around for ages, it's so old fashioned it's plain ridiculous to speak of it as if it was something complicated. Just click this link - http://www.rizon.net/index.php?do=chat, type in #SWR-MAL, and you're go.

Personal/IRC/MSN
Yes in that order.
Personal would be my preference, since I don't have to switch windows just to talk.
Otherwise IRC.

I've never used IRC, not because I thought it was complicated, but I just never had any need to. Me and my real-life friends have a Hamachi server set up for UNL, so we just use the built-in chat from that out of convenience.

Of course, nothing beats having your opponent in the same room.

Edit: Out of curiosity and boredom, I tried to connect to our IRC channel. The result: easy to figure out and exceedingly simple.

personal wins, hands down. kind of hard for us though, were kinda (just kinda) spread across the world, lol.

i think irc is better, since its more channel based. as opposed to aim/msn, where you usually have one on one convos, then chat room as needed, compared to a chat room then private message as needed. (that seemed really long winded lol)

I realize it's been around for ages. I don't like using it to communicate though. Not knowing of its existance/not knowing how to use it are completely different from simply disliking it.

From this point - "thing" - you're aksing for misinterpretions if your only message was that you simply dislike it. That's not my problem, though. It can hardly be anymore plug and play than that, so I don't see what's to dislike, unless you need pretty profiles with pretty pictures in your communication; I'm not making any presumptions, mind you. My interest only stretch that far; make whatever point you will.

May I ask why you're getting butthurt over me disliking IRC?

Also, I stated I use imageboards. On imageboards you don't even have a name, unless, of course, you're a tripfag. If I were all about names and pretty images, would I be an anon?

An anon with a livejournal, hotmail and yahoo account open for public? That's rich.

I can see that. Unless, your idea of a statement lies within what's not stated rather than what is (read: no means yes logic).

Anyway, don't worry about any cirkle-jerk bias you may have about using IRC, even if it's true for most channels, I don't allow that on my watch.

Actually, it's the whole using Firefox as a messenger thing. I don't like to run Firefox as some sort of messaging voodoo machine. Since I don't have an IRC client and nobody uses those anyways and just does the old fashioned Firefox way, I figured that if I ever needed to go into IRC, there's Firefox. But seeing most of my time is spent on MMOfaggotries, that + failtunes + firefox leads to a lag induced death. I'd rather just have my trillifail kthnx.

Let me put it in context: stating that you like all kinds of fruit except for bananas doesn't necessairly imply that strawberries are your favourite. It's like I'm a kindergarten teacher, hurrdurr.

You don't specifically need Firefox to run an IRC session, unless "Firefox" is to you synonymous to "web browser". If you got that little horsepower then I guess that's fair enough, not really my problem; just know that you could be surfing the IRC rainbow while typing here. In other words: you can use IRC while typing anonymously on your imageboard of choice - using the same web browser. In fact, using IRC as a chatting service is safer than posting on any kind of imageboard in terms of privacy. Nothing is traceable on IRC, unless the tracer is in the same chatting instance at the same time as yourself. The story is quite different on a public imageboard.

No one's forcing anyone to use this or that kind of communication method, just letting you know that what little is left of a community in this club lives its puny life in the club's IRC channel - #SWR-MAL. It's your own choice whether to be or not be a part of it. Hell, I'm just on my way out of it, as I'm quitting this game.

Then why did you waste so much time with "OMG Y U NO IRC?"

In all honesty, all it looked like was you wanting to either whine or advertise. Still, nothnkxbai.
