So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

Every episode of Girls und Panzer doesn't disappoint(at least for me) and this episode is no exception. Love it. Though that said, Too bad we will not see the battle of St. Gloriana vs. Black Forest since Darjeeling said they(St Gloriana) already lost the semi-finals off-screen. OST is the best. Love the Katyusha song by Nonna and Katyusha. Miho's mother planning to disown her. Knew that she was strict in her belief in Sensha-do. Hope Miho proves her wrong in her Sensha-do way. The secret is out finally of the school closing if they lose. If only the student council didn't keep it a secret in the first place then they would not have to end up telling it in a dire situation adding more pressure to Miho to bail them out in this predicament they are in. We all know that Oarai will beat Pravda in the end to face Black Forest in the finals. It's now a matter of what they will do to overcome the odds to win in the next episode. |

No a scout (a good one at least) does not engage enemy units, its gathers intel and withdraws when spotted. I think a scout is more suitable if you have more tanks than the other side. Otherwise you just split up your force and leave it at the risk of being cut off and destroyed bit by bit. |

Using current and up to date intel is important in combat, why disadvantage yourself further by not sending out a scout? The 38t is perfectly suited seeing as it is useless against everything the other team has- use your resources to their best ability. |

^ I would say that at a numerical disadvantage, splitting up your force is a risky trade-off. Any intelligence gathered is useless if your force is divided by the more numerical enemy. A scout is only acceptable if it is not sent too far away at the risk of being cut off. By the way, I am impressed by the upslope climbing power of IS-2: |

Any intelligence gathered is useless if your force is divided by the more numerical enemy. A scout is only acceptable if it is not sent too far away at the risk of being cut off. By the way, I am impressed by the upslope climbing power of IS-2: If they had scouted there is a high chance the trap would have been sprung giving the rest time to withdraw in good order. Russians always miss their first shot, the 38t would have a good chance to avoid the trap, the thing that screwed them over was having their line of retreat cut off. You seem to think a scout would drive into the center of the town, i would at least scout the outskirts and find their flanking force (which caused them to panic thus throwing away any coherent order of battle) how is it invaluable to the team? Its weapons wouldnt even scratch a t34. |

I would hope the T34 commanders would ignore the 38t, or die laughing If you read ww2 combat reports you will see that quite often stug assault guns would defeat the numerically superior soviets (15 T34s being driven back by 2 stugs) and thats not even taking into account the panzer 4. The only tanks i think they really have to worry about is the T34/85s Mod Edit: Merged duplicated posts; please use the edit button. |

Please help reduce the congestion of the thread by reducing the number of old content being quoted in a new post. I can see no_good_name is making a good start. :-) Many thanks. |

That trap was rather obvious but the girls where overconfident and didn't even listen to Miho they just rushed in without thinking at all. Seems Pravda was planning on there overconfidence and used it to there advantage. There are still ways of getting out of that church unharmed however the church itself would not go unharmed it already suffered damage from being shot at. Miho will have to come up with a good tactic if she wants to win this one since there outnumbered and out powered by a lot. Speaking of the numbers of Pravda i thought ten tanks was the maximum number allowed in a match yet i am counting fifteen tanks on Pravda side. It did show one thing about the Russians they had the numbers. This episode was again the stereotype even going as far as going with a few things from Stalin's regime such as mentioning being send to Siberia and purge. Only one importuned thing about Russians was missing tho "Vodka". Tho they showed the Tiger during last episode they didn't use it during this one neither was anything mentioned about it. Then there is also the thing with the new tanks i was wondering about thing during last weeks episode as well but how are they going to get a new team ready before the finals. The B1 team already showed lack of training and was having a hard time with that hill and the Tiger team will probably have similar problems. Then there is also the thing about there school closing it down if they don't win that tournament sounds like a very harsh condition. Why would the school be shot down in the first place? |
