They were never going to exorcise Tsukihi; and she is considered an half-goddess aberration/human because she is no normal human being due to her godly regenerative powers. An aberration is not always a negative thing, in Tsukihi's case its actually very good. The only bad thing is she can not die due to any other cause other than old age (which is not really bad).

Wow, that was awesome when Araragi got pissed, I thought he was gonna go full-out vampire for a second. But man how are they going to do this to us? Start up some new plot lines with only one episode left come one guys. Hopefully we at least get some internet only eps to stretch the story out a bit further.

Also, can wait for Kizu really interested to find out about how this whole thing got started and yes I somehow have managed to stay spoiler free despite browsing some sites that are infamous and have no shame in giving away spoilers.

Kaiki Super Power is detecting monsters in humans no matter the faint presence. That's one thing like of him despite being terribly dirty in tactics. I see but it makes no sense if she can heal to die of old age technically cause all that heals can never get old. Since old = degenerative elements which should be applied to something which can heal all the time. Regardless I understand your point on aberration. Aberration does sound negative no matter how you put it.

Yes, unfortunately it seems likely since i can't see this ending in one episode. but in a way its awesome since more Nisemonogatari, but the wait will likely be long just like with Bakemonogatari :/

My belief is that her immortality is the heal from any wound kind, meaning even Araragi will out live her (due to Vampire after affects) she will die of old age; but can't die any other way.

I can't see any exorcism or anything working; because while these don't look as willing to help people as Oshino was, in this case i dnt see it possible, because even with Oshino who was generally willing to help ppl (went out of his way for Araragi in Kizumonogatari, just sayin) wasn't able to fully take care of Hanekawa or Kanbaru, and Tsukihi is prolly not exception; its prolly a condition she will have to live with, and can't remove, such is the oddity.

All I know is I DON'T WANT KAIKI TO LEAVE! He is a swindling jerk but I think he is pretty badass like a darker version of oshino Meme. I think this anime needs more than one male IMO.

Nice BGM when Tsuki gets attacked. Best episode of the series becuase like many said before they focused less on fanservice and more on the story, too bad only one episode to go. I hope the ending isn't rushed.

Organs getting older is not a disease, it's a natural life process (or else she would have stayed a 1 day old baby forever since from the second a child is born, the body starts degenerating in your theory). So she will live the maximum human life of ~130 years. If aberration or oddity sounds negative, then it should balance out with the positive sounding "goddess".

That was just awesome, hoping for more accurate explaination about the Tsukihi Phoenix next episode. Also can't wait for Kizumono to fully grasp just what's the exact state and relation of Shinobu and Koyomi.

Also someone willing to tell me what kind of dialect Kagenui speaks in? Is it also old japanese like Shinobu's but other dialect?
Because they both sounds awesome and i feel obligated to know.

- (Araragi apparently visited numerous times to try and talk some sense into her, but she kept pretending to be absent, and when he did finally get ahold of her, it seemed like she might kill him then and there, so he just went home.)
- Kaiki proceeds to earn her trust by teaching her cat's cradle and being her playmate, and eventually settles upon a method of deception. He's going to try and trick her.
- Kaiki refuses when Kagenui tells him not to get involved any further, despite promises of generous monetary compensation, and Kagenui promptly cuts all ties with him. In a completely unrelated incident, Kaiki receives an anonymous letter telling him to wash his hands of the whole affair OR ELSE.
- Deciding to do just the opposite, Kaiki breaks into Nadeko's house to gather intelligence / investigate / snoop around, and looks inside her closet of forbidden secrets.("Koyomi onii-chan, I will never forgive even you if you look inside that closet - Nise episode 2")
- Hanekawa went overseas to look for Oshino, but she comes back to meet with Kaiki and exchange information.
- After visiting the shrine with offerings every day for thirty days, Kaiki tries to trick her on the thirty-first day, but fails. Just as it seems like he's about to be killed, Kaiki lets slip that he's seen the contents of Nadeko's freaky-ass closet and she TOTALLY LOSES HER SHIT.
- Nadeko secretly fancies herself a mangaka, and her closet is filled with embarrassing hand-drawn material. (If you've read Otorimonogatari, you'll remember that Nadeko is a big admirer of 1980's-era manga.) - I will upload that later
- With a sermon that would make even a certain Kamijou-san (Toaru Majutsu / Railgun ONEE SAMA) proud, he manages to bring her around. (I'm not sure if the Kamijou reference is from the book itself or if it's just 2ch posters being snide-ass fucks.)
- Nadeko decides that she will give up on Araragi and chase her own dreams, and the incident is thusly resolved.
- After it's all over, Araragi comes to the shrine to carry Nadeko home.
- HERO ALERT Similarly to what he did with Tsukihi, Kaiki invents a slug Kaii and forces it upon Nadeko. While the slug grapples with the snake, keeping it busy, Kaiki shoves his fingers deep into Nadeko's mouth and pulls out the charm that she swallowed back in Nadeko Medusa. (There's an "ayatori" pun here, a callback to how Kaiki kindly taught her how to play cat's cradle.) Nadeko returns to normal, and Kaiki returns the thoroughly-slimy charm to Araragi's hand.
- At the very end, the middle-schooler that Oshino Ougi tempted and goaded into bringing the snake curse onto Nadeko in the first place suddenly attacks Kaiki, smashing him twice upside the head with a iron pipe. (O SWEET REVENGE) Just before he "loses consciousness," Kaiki realizes that Ougi has been the villain pulling the strings in the background all along, and the book ends.

- According to Kaiki, OSHINO MEME DOESN'T HAVE SIBLINGS.
- At one point, Kaiki says "Come on, there's no way that Araragi only has, like, five people on his side." Oh, poor poor Araragi.

- The book quite effectively convinces us that Kaiki is not as despicable a person as we have previously been led to believe, and even manages to make us sympathize with Nadeko quite deeply.

- Araragi himself doesn't do anything of consequence over the course of the novel, save for his bit at the end with Nadeko. Kaiki, however, notes that this can't be helped, because Araragi really has no choice but to stay put this time around, for his own good.
- Similarly, Hitagi and Hanekawa don't do much at all either. Hitagi calls Kaiki over the phone now and then to share information, but that's it.

Yeah, that almost-incest did set up the revelation at the end though... foreshadowed it a bit, so I wasn't surprised when they came to their house and aimed directly for Tsukihi.

Was Shinobu really bluffing, though? Perhaps she can drain only the immortal bird (Phoenix) from Tsukihi, and thus both regain her strength and save Koyomi's sister from being assassinated by the legendary "immortal killer pair".

This was lots of fun, I enjoyed the episode.

Part of me wants to believe it was for teh art and fun, and not the random breast groping, but I'm alwasy watching Seikon no Qwaser so it is possible I'm just a perv....

But they said that his sister is a Phoenix herself, not that it's possesed. Also if Acerola would recover her full power, would be hunted down again as will be considered dangerous again.

Also, Tsukihi is still technically Koyomi's imouto. The Phoenix just blended in with Tsukihi in their mother's womb while she was still an embryo. That is why Tsukihi feels an empty void in herself, she is trying to blend in with the Araragi family and goes along with her surroundings. It's actually a harmless kaii, if not one of the best kaiis to be since you are literally immortal. That's why her scars fade slowly but always eventually, to remain undetected. The healing powers are far above a full vampires, her body was instantly restored in high stress situations (Yotsugi's Unlimited Book). She can only die of old age so the Pheonix just find a new host when Tsukihi dies. It is not necessarily evil, but those 2 trying to kill her are seeing conning and deceiving people as evil.

I disagree with that, in the fight of Koyomi vs Acerola, severed bodyparts weren't even able to reach the floor when they were already regenerated.

It is clearly stated in the novels but if you still don't believe me, how do you explain in Kizumonogatari when FULL vampire Shinobu was under the streetlight (with just 4 limbs missing and covered in blood) unable to regenerate? Notice when Tsukihi was blown in half, no gore (or even a single drop of blood) spilled out. Even if only a finger remained, Tsukihi would have been perfectly regenerated.

Watch the first 2 minutes of Bakemonogatari and pause when it shows her under the streetlight if you are confused for the scene.

I think the phoenix isn't doing anything bad, existing as a human or within a human is not surprising, it simply has to... It's not evil or crazy like those two new bitches, so I'm hoping the phoenix/Tsukihi continue to exist and those bitches should be pwned.

btw do you notice the short hair bitch seems to avoid touching the ground at all times (even when she stands on Koyomi), if that's not crazy I don't know what is lol

Best episode of the season. This is the only episode where I was completely engaged for the whole 24 minutes, and can't wait for the next episode to come. The theme of fake and true justice was clearly presented, the action scenes were fucking badass, and not to mention Shinobu was moe as hell.
5/5, bumped the score for the whole series up to 9/10.
