I normally hate english dub, but FMA is an exception. I like it far more than japanese dub, also, I like Vic Mignogna for Edward much more than Paku Romi. Maybe I'm saying this just because I saw FMA first time in english. I don't have much choices with Brotherhood, but I somehow got used to the japanese dub. Although english dub is still better, for me :)

I have only watched the english dub, so I wouldn't know for sure if it's better than the sub.

Even if the sub was/is better, I would still only watch the dub.

Although, there's no real point in watching FMA at all since I have already watched it from beginning to end twice.

When I watched FMA in english, I was positive that it was one of the best dubs ever made. I still think that way, though at some moments the voices could have been better. I watched Chibi party in subs first, and then in dubs, and I have to be honest, the sub was a bit better.. I had read somewhere that Vic's voice was too calm at some times, and it's true.. But that doesn't mean the dubs are bad ^^ I'm actually waiting for the Brotherhood dubs to be released, before watching the subs, but that's only because I'm used the the English voices by now :p I don't think I'd want to watch it in subs, not only because I'm used to the dubs, but also because I hate the read all the time o_o At the anime I've watched in subs, I sometimes even had to pause the video, only to catch up to what they were saying, and I still wouldn't understand it xD

Dubbed. I think this is one series where it actually works better in English- the world is based more on European culture, and the English voices for Ed and Al sound more believably like young teenage boys. Especially since Al -was- played by a young boy...

This.

For me, it depends on the setting- if it seems more like an English speaking world, then I'll lean more towards the dub, this being the case with FMA.

Although I still enjoy the subbed version.

I initially want to watch the Japanese dub, but I'll watch some of it in English if it's an okay dub, and sometimes vice versa; FMA was definitely one of the better dubs I've seen, but I still prefer it in Japanese.
I know, I'm so lame for not having an avatar and stuff. T.T

This is odd
VERRRYY odd..For even me. But i personally like the English dub more than the Japanese dub... It's strange, because I can't stand English dub and mostly every anime is no good in English..They did a really wonderful job with the FMA Eng dub, and i wouldn't watch it any other way <3

I like both japanese dubb and english dub of FMA 'cause it depends on how great the voice actors did it(go Romi paku and Vic mignogna on Edward Elric!!):D

I honestly prefer the dub. I find it really annoying to read the subtitles while watching for some reason. For ANY anime, for that matter. except Naruto. their English voices suck.

Japanese with English subs. I watched the dubbed version of the movie and while I thought it was a very good effort I still prefer to watch as much as I can with English subtitles and the original voice cast.

I watched the first FMA series in English dubbed originally then subbed.

For FMA: Brotherhood I watched it subbed.

Though generally I watch anime with English subs, but the dubbed version was not so bad to be honest, and I'm not big fan of dubbed either.

Dub without a doubt. When you have a story that takes place in an alternate Universe version of Germany it makes way more sense to at least have a European language go along with it. Blonde Hair European Edward shouldn't be called Edo. It just doesn't fit the setting.

I would 100% watch the sub if it was the only option or the dub was bad, but I find the dub great.

I take atmosphere as a big factor into the language I choose.

Me too.
Nothing can ever beat the original, but FUNimation did an excellent (to my standards) job in the dubbing and I even think that some lines in the dub were better said than the subs (but that might just be a language/translation thing)

I usually end up watching a few episode subbed, a few episodes dubbed and just keep switching :D
