| IDK where to start...? This show cuts so many corners it takes away from what could really be such an interesting story. Dr. Ameku is an atrocious character she is going to keep this show from being able to be great. Trespassing, tampering with evidence, and assault are all no issue for her, what's next? The fact she went into that tomb/grave and did all that work without a mask or gloves was just stupid, why couldn't the author be bothered to have them do things even a little bit correct. Was the Psyche doctor really needed? And then telling Dr. Ameku that she hates her right there at that point in time in front of everyone? Just shit writing and character interactions, it served no purpose other than for another character to look inferior for the sake of propping Ameku up. Kotori's Karate wasn't even good the first time it came into play because the police were there with a killer and just let him attack a civilian right in front of them, this time he assaults a man on his own property while trespassing. Yeah, that shit is just dumb. |

| Just when I was wondering what was the scene at the start and then that happens, fuck I liked her character too. The fire is prolly related to her smoking habit. Why did they cast Ishida Akira as that loser though but maybe he'll play a part in this prolonged case. |

| No human combustion this episode actually, just some fungus and meningitis. Which is like, not all that mysterious, we know that opening a sealed grave might cause for SOME kind of sickness, right? Nonetheless, another nice biology class session. |

| Turning to religious matter, Ameku and Takanashi going to meet Professor Murota Muneharu to resolve an Onmyoji curse, coming from the Ashiya family's time which has passed generations, them and the researchers at Teito University managing to find the mummy of Ashiya Enzo through desecrating a thousand-year-old seal is something, but this finding inevitably cursed them under his name, with Murota's respiratory infection getting worse, and Professor Ikari's chronic symptoms being more or less the same. Going straight to the Ashiya family's place where the present generation's son Yuuya's warnings go unheeded, Ameku wanting to inspect Enzo's grave together with Takanashi and fellow Teito University professor Aoi Kumamoto, it seems that the curse itself, after Ameku's thorough inspection forcing Ikari to be admitted through involuntary admission on less-than-ideal psychiatric conditions, is not a curse in and of itself, but of Cryptococcus based on the damp environment, which causes fungal meningitis to the point of death if not treated immediately. The "curse" of unpure oxygen and breathing conditions within the grave, Ameku may have her documented research on it, but this curse clearly still burns people from within, and this case is not exactly over just yet. |
