@A-lil-weeb-dog How does this contradict the fact that the feelings of someone in the triangle are not reciprocated? The very idea of a love triangle makes it impossible for all three people to reciprocate their feelings, this is obvious. I thought you just didn't know tropes well, remembering how you stated that harem anime are polygamous, but it seems like you don't quite understand the logic of this even on a meta level.

you're desperate for a response now it seems, none of my logic is reaching you, and commenting futher is just gonna be me running in circles.

so this'll be my last reply: go watch your harem anime that you love, I don't give a shit about this meaningless conversation, and neither should you
@A-lil-weeb-dog The only thing that makes me desperate in this discussion is that you don't understand how tropes work at the most basic level, but instead of trying to study it, you just project the blame for it onto me, claiming that if I question your reading of the show, then I just didn't watch it. Or that trying to convey to you minimal information about tropes, I simply ignore your words and go around in circles. Which is just incredibly immature.

But hey, I will be very glad if you stop answering for real. Then I won't have to explain once again why harem anime aren't "polygamous" by default, or why love triangles always imply someone's romantic failure. Losing Heroines actually explores the latter very well, but you're more interested in whether it's a harem.

In LN it's harem. all the girls are in love with MC. It's far from realistic and it will become generic harem.

@ninka22 Neither the Japanese Wikipedia nor the people who discussed the currently published volumes mention anything about this. Personally, I doubt you can call LN a "generic harem" when many people don't even believe there's any romance in the title at all.

@RobertBobert I mean, I just went on the subreddit and searched "harem", and there's plenty of people calling it a harem genre.

I'm really not a fan of the art style for how they draw characters. It reminds me of Rugrats BUT that being said I think the story and mystery of the series is worth the watch. No harem vibes but there is a student teacher thing but the story is worth it.
@funcfish Ah yes, I remember that Rugrats episode where Angelica had big tits.
.
But seriously, I think you're misremembering what Rugrats looked like.

@stevejawbs Because as you can see, people are actively arguing about this. Especially anime only viewers who just expect this from the show without knowing if the original LN will develop it.

@RobertBobert LN readers are saying it's becoming more and more a generic harem, as more characters are becoming interested in MC.
Anime only viewers are expecting a harem because the show's currently going through all the usual harem tropes.

Is it a harem? If it isn't, then I won't watch it.

p.s. By the comments it seems that it isn't exactly a harem story, and the MC is a proud asexual / herbivore. Why do Japanese stories almost always have some donkan + hetare MC? Lol, they even created those two words just to describe them.
