previous two films were a disaster.
this one... 10/10 — it's as good as the TV series, tho it's a pity that it looks very cheap with such a great story
@kebenaj I liked the first film better than the sequels and the series.

This was a nice film with a nice tone-downed atmosphere.

But there was no need for that scene after the ending credits, since you could have ended the anime at the hospital scene with them hugging it out and crying.
@oooo3333 need something for the sales of the next movie. Greeddy marketing.

I cry a lot

Okay, then back to the main questions.

Who is Akagi Ikumi?
Why is there a small Mai-san?

Kirishima Touko. I guess will be explained next time
@saikyozero 1. I think it will be explained in the next movie. 2. A nice metaphor for Mai helping Sakuta similar to how Sakuta helped here. The reason she is a child is to differentiate her from the adult one in that world. Also, the fact she knows his struggles without him explaining it could be her subconscious self helping him without knowing it herself. That's how to interpret it and not an absolute answer

another tear-jerking movie. mini Mai is probably a guide for the lost Sakuta who was forced to be an adult at such a young age. Mai is a big part of Sakuta's life so i understand if the inner child figure is of Mai. Mai remember Sakuta thanks to the marriage certificate (really hope we can see they build a family together asap). Sakuta bare his honest feelings and Mai giving him the push to conquer his inner conflict. the second Sakuta settle his feelings, his mom could recognize him and be a family again.

introduction of Akagi Ikumi and Kirishima Touko for the next arc. looking forward to the next movie/series.
