The one and only thing that is interesting to me about this show so far is the pre-isekai scenes. It reminds me of Kou Yoshinari's pastel animations in White Album 1. That's it.

When see the cover of the anime, it remind me of tensura. Since it have the wolf too. The magic not to OP(yet). I like to watch Isekai stuff-battle magic. So I will continue.

Bit too early to tell how this is going to pan out. MC is a bit OP but so far it's not another Cheat Magician. It does give us some character background on why the MC limits his interactions with others.

Honestly, I don't worry about what other people like, or don't like, in anime. What counts is whether you like it. Then, find others to share it with. I just finished the second episode, and I came to the forum to recommend it. Thank you for your post. Enjoy!

I have watch subbed anime for over 2 decades now and it is weird how few words/ phrases I hear and understand, but because of My Anime List I know (or at least think I know) the romanji form of more words. Yuusha- Hero, Maou- Demon Lord, Isekai- Another World, Kenja- Sage/ Wise Man, Boku no/Ore- My?(Not quite sure on this on), Tensei- Reincarnated, Kanojo- Girlfriend, Imouto- little sister, Megami- Goddess, Tenshi- Angel, Kami- God, Baka- Idiot, Hentai- Pervert, Hikikomori- Shut-In, Chuuni/Chuunibyo- Dork/Incel (Although I think it translates to 8 Grade Syndrome but that is not helpful), Hachi- 8, Midori- Green, Hime- Princess, Kawaii- Cute, Monogatari- Story, Usagi- Bunny, Mirai- Future, Nikki- Diary.. I'm sure there are more I can't think of, but I think I only learned 6 words/phrases just from listening in that time yes (I), no (E.A.), I like you (Sue dice ski) , thank you for the meal (It toe dock key mass), Hello (Cone neat chi wa)in person/ (Moo she Moo she) on the phone. I guess the three insults (Chuuni, Hentai, and Baka) as well as God(Kami) I learned from both though to be fair.

Idk, I like it. The idea of supportive slimes isn't new but having your tamed monsters talk to you is an interesting addition. No show is ever truly unique, You can always find relationships and "copies". Honestly what matters is if you can still enjoy it. And for some people they can and for others they can't. I like seeing the small variations in these shows ultimately there are going to be similarities.

Honestly, don't let random people on the internet get in the way of your enjoyment of something.

fun facts to improve your japanese(I am no master though): watashi and boku are how you refer to yourself: ex watashi wa anime ga sukidesu. also desu is a way to end sentences (the u is silent). also itadakimasu translates to time to eat. gososamadeshita is thankyou for the meal. Also be sure to watch out for slang. luffy's sukei (awsome) is slang for sugoi. I like you is disuki (die sue key). C's don't exist in romanji. 8 Grade Syndrome is known when you start to act like an anime character such as a random eighth grader going "behold the power of darkness swells withing my veins" while coming to school with a bandage wrapped around his hand every day. in other words, having grandiose delusions of themselfs and want to stand out. look at the Chūnibyō wiki article or watch Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! which is all about that.

I'm just a simple and OG otaku. I don't deconstruct anime into its multiple creative parts in order to justify liking or disliking it. If overall it provides SOME entertainment, then I'll burn some time on the usual 3-episode trial rule.
With all that said, this show does seem very cut-paste, but I like the OP MC sub-genre. So, I'll stick with it until it gives me a reason(s) to "exit, stage left."
BTW, I challenge anybody in this thread to identify the source of the above quote, without googling it. :)

i would not go so far as saying this has a lot of promise BUT
considering mondays i have only this and the elite classroom and since this1 is not bad or boring
(actually i gave it a 8 since i love isekai, else i would have given it a 7 or 6, even though this1 isnt a isekai so far since MC hasnt died yet :)

its worth the watching

If you think this show is good, I'd not argue why is that the reason which is your own biasness that I can accept. Instead, I would say that there're shows far better than this that has promise than this generic turd.

It's just that you never opened your eyes to shows that have fanbases for reasons a.k.a Overlord etc.

I used to be like this, I honestly would watch just about anything as long as it provided some entertainment even if it was bad. But you know, after having seen over 1,000 anime (with about 600 completed and 400 on pause) and am now an adult with limited time, I just can't do that anymore.

Honestly, this one got lucky I even gave it 3 - 4 episodes. But I like isekai and really wanted to give it a chance.

Well it isnt the worst anime ever but compared to manga, its lettdown hard. Animation is so bad the acting voices are eather hiped or borring. The recuting of the story telling just because they want to be litle diferent than manga is in almost in every adaptation and it rubbs me the wrong way. Basicli i think that they will suck at the delivering of the potencial this manga adaptation had and for such good story its sad. For those who dont enyoj the animation i say go chech the manga. Its sad that manga has better animation than the anime. In me opininion they could scrap the budget for animation and just make it a moving talking comix :D

I ended up dropping this anime, too. :) BTW, I've been an anime fan since the original 8th Man and Astro Boy series, respectively. (circa, late-1960's). The fact I STILL will watch just about any fantasy, mech, or isekai anime can be attributed to equal parts escapism and true enjoyment of the platform as a story telling medium. I still wonder how my CIO and CISO colleagues would react if they knew what a hardcore otaku I am.
