| Hmm. I definitely dislike Ueno for a lot of the movie, however, with the final scene I would say that it is supposed to show the personality 'mending' and her undergoing personal growth to become a better person. I think if her character was fleshed out a bit more and there was more focus at the ending this point would be stronger but I believe we are supposed to hate her less at the very least towards the end. |

I was talking about how Shouko probably wouldn’t confront him about issues she has with him. And he might have to walk on eggshells so that he doesn’t say the wrong things. | For most of the movie, I didn't like her, but once at the end I realized that she just has a weird way of forgiving someone who wasn't even guilty. She seems a little off the mark and over-protects her childhood friend. Sorry my english is bad |
