ps. did people actually think they were gonna spend only 2 episodes on a match and let them win? Lol

Exactly. It was predictable and frustrating. A bad start for the series. I hope the sequence will remember of the previous seasons.

I mean.. its a different start. With this, Seido gets their first Koshien experience and Eijun and Furuya might even change because of this. So I don't know if we can be sure if its a good or bad start yet. This is also to show how dominant Hongou is and how Seido is not on that championship team level yet.

if you so shit at batting maybe you shouldnt be at that stage at all, considering that you have in your team the very same power level pitcher to practice the shit out with or at least not to shit your pants immediately at the sight of a fastball. give your spot to that crazy laughing kid, dont remember his name, he has crazy skills just training with the wind

Hated it. Ended up skipping it after 7 or so minutes. Is a recap episode really needed on episode FOUR? Was there a glitch and they replayed episode 3? I'm confused.

Only the last 5 minutes of this episode are actually relevant, first 8 is recap and the game is a snoozefest.

I'm not really familiar with the japan baseball tournaments en the way teams are qualified, so i got a question.
Did they qualify for koshien, or was this the actual koshien and did they lose first round?

The internet names both a Spring (invitation?) koshien and a summer Koshien (the real deal?).
I'm kind of confused about this lol, someone please help.

Explains the basics of the tournaments appearing in the series well. Just be sure to watch out for spoilers.

Summer Koshien is the real deal. 49 participants.
Spring Koshien - named here also as "Senbatsu" is for 32 teams. Ah and u didn't watch this season closely... because Seido was playing in quarterfinals. They did win few matches but we only saw a glimpse of that. They lost with Komadai and end Senbatsu in places 5-8 (there are no more matches for this spots).

Can someone really tell me about the time Sawamura will once again stand on the mound ?

Jesus, I just can't stand it that our boi didn't even get the chance to play.

And I don't read the manga, but could you guys spoil me a bit about the new first-year guys ?

Thanks a bunch!

Since begining with Sawamura apart and all that people and reporters talking about only Furuya was desvasting to me, but was even more harder this time when Sawamura couldn't do anything even at this circunstances. I hope to see how he's gonna improve himself to overcome this kind beasts of players, it's such a big wall to cross.

you make account just to say this?!
you're too impatient! Don't expect an OP Sawamura without hardships, it's always like that.. no one became great without experiencing failure and hardships!

Incredibly powerful moment with Eijun at the end. While all he could do was watch helplessly from the bullpen, Furuya used Nationals to evolve exponentially. Now it's not just a matter of making it to Nationals, but for Eijun to be able to prove he's an Ace worthy of that stage.

Like..... What actually happened in the Jingu Tournment.... Why are the batters underperforming so badly?! And Maezono is in a slump after Jingu, and some no name mate just took his place without even been featured for like 10 seconds in all three Koshien games???
No matter who pitches in this match, the real glaring shocker here is how the batters performed.....
They had Furuya to practice with for that speed (The intensity and technique may be different, but it shouldn't stunned them for all 9 innings)~ How could they not even touch the ball most of the time~ Like at least foul a bunch of them, put up a fight or something....

And really, the one thing that really grinds my gear in this anime (idk about the manga) is that for all important and momentous matches Seido have, the last inning is always rushed, "silent" slide shows, and/or skipped entirely to the results, is just purely anti-climatic~ Like The inashiro loss in season1, the final match with Yakushi in season2, and this match. Is like they do not know how to properly wrap up a match after they build up the tension or something.

(I am like rewatching, so yeap until the end of this season, I still don't know what happened at Jingu despite them raising a couple of issues they had during the Jingu tournament)

If only they had the batting power back when Yuuki, Jun and the retired seniors were on the team, I'm sure they could've scored some hits. Its sad to see Eijun realise there is no room for him as Furuya already took the spot, but at least he hasn't given up.

Furuya really did well. I respect how he stood there. I admire him, but at the same time, envious, and frustrated, cause I wanted Eijun to stand on that mound, too. It's scary how Furuya keeps growing, keeps running out of reach, but whoa Eijun... you wouldn't give up. Normally people just give up. This is what I admire the most about Eijun.

Anyway, the higher Furuya climbs, the better. The greater the goal is, the better. :)

It really sucks to see Eijun like that. I just want him to finally be acknowledge for the great pitcher that he is. I don’t want them to use

Eijun was really improving and then the author decided that Furuya needs a massive power up after coming back from an injury.

“The day it began” it better mean something good for Eijun, I’m tired of seeing him fail miserably

Great ep.

I really like Hongo as an antagonist. Awesome pitcher. Seems to be the best pitcher in Japan. Seido did great against the champs!

Furuya did so well jeez, idk how Eijun is gonna take his spot haha

Kinda expected they'd lose with how fast the match was going.

Strong moment by Eijun picking up the sand.
This was pretty much a pitcher's game, aside from the first 2 runs in the first inning nobody managed to score.
So even though Eijun wasn't able to pitch, if you can't score at all then you guys clearly need to work on your batting skills.

Still solid pitching by Furuya.
