Ep 45-46 The reunion with Sharla and Howard was nice, I was never really worried about them though tbh. Adam's parents and their final message was pretty sad though. Howard up to his old tricks, nice to see he hasn't really changed much. I wonder if they're ever gonna bother explaining Luna's powers... idk hopefully they can find this place without drones that are constantly attacking them lol |

Ep 47-48 So their plan to take care of the drones didn't go so well and Howard and Sharla became spies of Survive... I couldn't really tell what was going on with Survive and Luna's powers interacting in the weird ether or w.e Some flashbacks and stuff... I don't know why they were asking Survive for help at some point I thought it was pretty obvious it doesn't like them lol |

Episode 28 Well, Howard messed up as usual, but for some reason I can't hate him this time around? He did have better intentions, so maybe that's why and it's good he's such an idiot because he didn't give them the right thing. These escaped prisoners will probably show these kids have naive they are. Episode 29 The rescue mission was super cool. Hopefully this will be the starting point for Howard to evolve into less of an annoying asshole. Episode 30 Adam gave them away this time around. Sigh. I'm hoping they'll wrap this up soon. I wonder if they'll really be able to fix that spaceship or what. Episode 31 At least they got rid of the laser gun this time around, but now the guys have Pague. I can't wait for this arc to be over, I'm kind of tired of it now. The change in Howard was almost instant though, he's pretty much stopped being a pain for now. He's even cooperating with Sharla. |

Ep 49-50 So more exposition with Survive about the environment of the planet and now they have to deal with a gravity storm... yay. I'm actually siding with Howard on this one, I really wouldn't be so concerned about saving the planet and would rather just go back to the colony. Planets die all the time and it was not their fault that the planet is screwed. I guess this is supposed to be some environmentalist message and stuff, but honestly their survival is more important than the planets'. Also Howard and Sharla got separated from the main group.... again. At least they were found fast. I'm happier they saved Pague than Howard, but seriously saving the whole planet is pretty idealistic. |

EP 51-52 So.... Luna combined with Survive with her "mysterious powers" that were of course never explained. At least she did her job and saved the planet and she also survived thx to NANOMACHINES SON. Alls well that ends well. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything other than a perfect happy ending. I was hoping at least one or two characters would be killed off. It was nice to see everyone grown up at the end and see how they've progressed. The whole environmentalist angle makes more sense thematically the more I think about it. I just feel like pitting their own survival against the planets I feel like I would save myself. It doesn't matter how many planets you save if you're dead. This show suffered from terrible early 2000's animation as most shows from this time did. It was really unremarkable, but at least it was consistently so. I think my biggest gripe was definitely the pacing though. I feel like the show could easily have been cut and half and we still could have gotten everything in. Some arcs just kept going and going. Anyway I can't see this as anything more than average. It was definitely an interesting premise though and I'm glad it at least has a conclusive ending instead of sequel-bait or "read the manga". 5/10 |

Episode 30 Adam's feelings are somewhat understandable but this is not the right time. I don't think he realizes how dangerous the situation is. Episode 31 I'm with you guys, this arc is kinda dragging. And I have to say in this situation I'd be all 'nice knowing you Pague, but my/our lifes and our chance of escaping are more important to me.' But they'll probably end up letting the pirates escape on the ship and continue the planet survival (since there are still 20 episodes left). Episode 32 Things are still happening. I still don't expect them to make it. Episode 33 Lots of action this episode. I had to laugh when Sharla wrecked that muslcehead with the 'mecha'. In any case the outcome was as expected, both the pirates and their opportunity to escape are gone. But they do have Porte-san now. I really hope the pirates are gone now and the story moves on to another arc. Because I don't really know what to expect now, so I'm curious. Episode 34 Okay so now they're building their own ship. How hard can that be? :> |

Episode 35 I liked this episode. The Porta flashback was pretty enjoyable. But it seems he caught anime sickness so I expect him to die soon. A shame, really :(. Episode 36 Is it just me or did this episode feel kinda 'meta' in a weird way? First we have Porte going around setting up proper death flags with everyone else, culminating in a scene where they all together set up an actual (death) flag. After that we get Menori playing a requiem on her violin while his life (well, the show, but bear with me) passes on front of our eyes. And lastly we get his deathbed conversation followed by the funeral. This episode was a pretty good eulogy to Porte in itself. I'm actually half-kidding (well, less than half tbh) but the episode was very good. When we went around setting up his 'death flags' it was a pretty emotional scene for me. I'll certainly miss him. I hope the show stays as good as it has been these past 2-3 episodes even without him. It had been getting a bit stale before he joined them so I'm slightly worried, but the change to the mainland could definitely make up for that. Episode 37 I do love me some seatravel and rainstorms so this episode was pretty exciting. The bit about the seasickness spreading over time and 'infecting' almost everyone just for them to all recover at the same time when the sea starts getting really shaky was a bit weird tho. I wonder if it was just weird or if there's more to it. Like another reason why they all started to feel sick. The ending with Luna going overboard was pretty dramatic but somehow I'm not really worried, Luna still seems to have some sort of 'connection' with the planet after all. Episode 38 Island survival: hard mode, basically. A good episode overall. The ship conveniently appearing at the end was a bit of a bummer though. Aside from it seeming kinda unrealistic they'd find a tiny island like that without any maps or proper navigational skills, I'd have like to see how far Luna can take it on the island on her own. I was worried that she didn't seem to do anything to collect/story the rainwater, but well, now the ship is here anyway. Episode 39 This was kind of a feelgood episode and did a good job at that. The surprise party and play were pretty cute, I liked it. But I don't think fitting the revelation about Lunas powers into that kind of episode was a great idea, it just didn't mesh. In general, they left this issue hanging for so long without really addressing it very much and now out of nowhere they reveal that it's nanomachines (which does make sense) just to immediately forget about it again instead of wondering how/when they entered her, among other things. Episode 40 I'm quite enjoying this sol stuff, at least for now in the new mainland setting. Bells confession was super cute, too bad Luna is dense as a brick. The ensuing conversation at the campfire was great too. My impression is that all the girls like Bell and Kaoru likes Luna. Bell obviously too. Luna put the foot down and suffocated any possibilities of romance tho :(. Episode 41 Adam's sickness means another sidetrack in their journey. It seems this time they've encountered some kind of AI which by the sounds of it fulfils a bunch of the classic AI clichés. I kinda hope this arc doesn't take too long. |

Episode 42 I pretty much expected this trope as the backstory as soon as the AI showed up. I've seen it way too often. But yeah, Adam being cured is a good thing. Episode 43 Howard having one of his biggest assholes moments but he's grown enough to try and make up for it. In general he's changed in the sense that while still being an asshole he now reserves it for casual times and when shit gets serious he's usually cooperative and makes himself useful. I'm assuming the two of them won't die so I wonder what they'll discover underground. Episode 44 So what, they're really dead? Holy shit then. Still wouldn't be surprised if they came back somehow but if they don't this show has definitely surprised me. Episode 45 I like the little guy. And getting the full backstory for Adam and his parents was interesting too and answered a couple of key questions too. Good stuff. Episode 46 Man this is pretty cruel. These are pretty clearly either clones/robots made in Howard/Sharlas likeness, or Survive somehow controlling/manipulating them. But it probably means they're still alive and just not being themselves, or captured. It's also curious that Howard and Sharla are behaving so differently, if they're really controlled one way or another. Things definitely got even more exciting now. Episode 47 Seems like they figured it out as well now. Curious to see what happens next and what exactly is up with Howard and Sharla. Episode 48 Seems like Lunas magic powers in combination with some good ol' friendship references did the trick here. Happy End incoming? Episode 49 Is it just me or did this whole 'the environment is collapsing (again)' thing coming out of nowhere? I guess it serves the purpose of making the kids work together with Survive for the final arc. Gravity storm incoming! Episode 50 The Howard x Sharla ship is real. I'm not against it, I've thought a while ago that Sharla would be a good, calming influence on Howard and I still think it's true. And on the other side despite Howards character flaws I'd trust him to protect something/someone precious to him. Episode 51 The final challenge is here. Tbh this last part hasn't been my favorite part of the show, but whatever. Only one more episode! Episode 52 Despite this final arc dragging a bit and the whole arrival of Adam's people in the last minute thing being a bit too convenient fo rmy taste, this was still a good final episode. Overall I'd agree this series had some arcs that felt a bit dragged out. But those parts alternated with longer streaks where I was really enjoying the show so overall it's still a solid 7 for me. Sometimes I was considering a 7 and sometimes I was considering an 8 but at the and 7 seems appropriate. |

Episode 32 It finally seems like this arc is heading to an end. I hope they'll solve it in the next two episodes or so. It was a great idea to change targets and move to the ship on the beach, too bad they had to abandon the other one, but if they're looking to get off the planet, they have to consider all alternatives. Episode 33 Wow, what an spectacular way for absolutely everything to go really wrong. Well, hopefully Polt will be okay and at least now an adult will be with them, but they seem to have lost the ruins too! Episode 34 No idea whatever happened with those annoying 3 escapee prisoners, I'm guessing the died? The show side-stepped the issue cleanly lol it's too bad they were down in the slumps for a bit, but it's nice to see they're back on track with some motivation and soon I might get to see the mainland! Episode 35 The pace in this episode was quite fast, like whenever they build anything, thankfully. It was nice to learn some of Polt's backstory, but I have this sense of doom from him not having recovered yet. I like that Shingo has a sort of mentor though, he was the only one who seemed to lack a deeper connection with someone else, but now it seems all of them are getting along wonderfully. |

Episode 36 Well, I should have expected Polt to die, but it was still pretty sad to watch. It's nice he tried to leave them with good parting memories and some sort of words to each of them. The CGI wasn't super intrusive with the ship, it seemed pretty well done to me. Episode 37 They ganged up on Luna and blamed her for everything after getting a little seasick, bunch of assholes. It's good they recovered, but it definitely was weird that they did when the sea got worse. Episode 38 Nature is definitely pretty harsh. It's great she was able to survive long enough for them to catch up to her. Apparently her constant survival does have something to do with either the planet or herself. Episode 39 Huh, so it was nanomachines. Well, that's a cool explanation, although they never tried to find out how she got them in her body. I'm going to guess it has something to do with her dad? IDK. The party and the play were super cute to watch! Episode 40 An earthquake! That's different. I wonder why it happened. Howard might be a pain but it's always funny to see him hunt or fish stuff. Bell's intensity during the confession was pretty touching. I did think it was surprising he liked her, but it really seems there's quite a bit of unrequited love going around. Well, they're kids, so they'll each mature at their own rhythm. It's a little sad that he got rejected, but that whole part made me smile a lot. |

Episode 41 So intriguing! They found a city around the terraforming machine and then a little drone says "People are unnecessary". I'm really curious to see where things are going now, though I can probably take a guess. Episode 42 That escalated really fast! But hey, I love me some rogue 'humans destroy everything so I must kill them' computers, so I'm totally down with this cliche. I'm glad they found a cure for Adam and now they have a clear plan of what they want to do. Episode 43 Ugh Howard was back to being a pain in this episode. I really didn't miss that. Maybe he was trying to be reasonable, but he was just bringing down everyone's spirits. I'm super surprised he went out of his way to save Sharla! I wonder how they'll meet up with the group again? |

Episode 44 It was super lucky that Menori and Shingo didn't get killed. I'm glad they included both sides of the coin when having someone you care about die or disappear in front of you. Survivor's gilt can sometimes be as strong as the instinct to keep living. Episode 45 Tako is so ridiculously adorable. The message from Adam's parents was very sad, but it was cool to get more information about the island's past. Episode 46 It's so obvious that they're acting really suspicious. I'm going for them being infected by evil nanos and being controlled, but I'll have to wait and see what really is going on. Either way, I really did miss them and I hope the real characters come back at some point. Episode 47 They discovered the truth about Howard and Sharla pretty fast, thankfully. I can't believe Luna hesitates with the idea of turning off Survive, it seems kind of ridiculous to me. Episode 48 Woohoo the good ol' power of friendship! Well, it's okay. It's sweet that they're including it in a kids' show. I liked evil Howard's voice, but I'm glad Howard and Sharla are back to normal now. I do wonder why Survive wants Luna's power though? |

Episode 49 They're dragging out the escape from the planet, but I guess it's both the environmentalism message and trying to get the children and survive to cooperate for a bigger purpose even though they weren't on the greatest terms before. Well, the community before the individual is a very Japanese thing. Episode 50 Haha oh man Howard and Sharla again! I guess it makes sense that the character that is annoying for being selfless and the character that is annoying for being selfish would make a good match. He even stuck around when she was healing Pague. So sweet. Episode 51 The parts where they try to cheer each other up and see how they grew was the nicest part of this episode, but this whole "the X is beyond Survive's calculations" is getting really annoying. Isn't Survive a super computer? Also, I'm guessing Luna will sacrifice herself? Well that's what it looks like, but who knows that the show will throw at me. Episode 52 The ending was definitely convenient! But I guess I didn't expect anything different to be honest. I mean, Luna had special mysterious powers, so it 'made sense' that she would survive something the others wouldn't. I was hoping they would show them grown up and they did! Everyone was working on something they were good at they kept in touch, so that's nice. I agree that the show had terrible pacing issues because at times the arcs and episodes would drag, but other times they would go through a lot of work in a couple of minutes. That was the only thing that felt truly inconsistent to me. I wasn't really bothered by the animation and besides Sharla's super weird voice, I liked the voice acting and the music. I thought the show was definitely worthwhile to watch despite the pacing issues and I really grew to enjoy the characters and some parts of the story, so it's a 7/10 for me as well. |
