Dat Kantoku is annoying. I wonder if Musashino studio will finish, so many people quitting.

I think this episode was truly great. Learnt a lot of new things.

Awesome Oi-chan roar, and free sound fx work... Sumo wrestling in a cage was lol... I want to see Ema's cat animation. All 3 car game posters. CG penguin animation was surprisingly good, rarely see that quality in tv anime.
29 days pretty much guarantees a 7-day work week. Aoi has it rough.

This closure on the subject of follow their dreams or expectations that are given by the work you do; has given me many doubts. Misa does well not to be satisfied, but work in a certain environment can still give you experiences that will serve in the future and leave a great company for a small, can only be detrimental to a career, looking from the perspective of those who work like me in my country. Getting back on topic, ignoring the current reality of work, which are still well represented in the story, this coming and going of people are taking a look intriguing. However, even this episode is valid from all points of view, this TV series is really a pleasant sight to follow, do not wait to savor the next episodes; pity that in my country are brought out only two episodes a week.

Just for your reference.

I guess this picture at 19:10 of Episode 10 is a reference to the art and teen's library in Musashino Public Library. According to the English leaflet, the facility is a public place named Musashino Place, in Misashino City, Tokyo, which has several different kinds of libraries, studios, a printing shop and others to support people's “lifelong learning”, “civic group activities” and “youth activities” around Musashino City.

Good for Misa and Honda, but it kinda sucks that Honda is quitting. Someday, when I am working already, I might consider those kind of stuffs, too.
Heh, so that's how they make the sound effects for the Anime, huh. Awesome!!

Okay episode, the pacing is extremly slow which I rather find a bit of a shame for this anime.

Now that was a pretty good episode. It's a shame that Honda is leaving since he's such a hard worker. Really liked how they showed Honda and Misa finding themselves at a crossroad and choosing the path that would lead towards their dream. It also shows us how much Miyamori is uncertain if the path she's chosen will actually lead her towards her dream.

for many, working in an animation studio is already a dream job. damn honda, good luck have fun. i wonder how they're going to deal with a possible staff shortage? that makes two people who have left with no replacements. not to mention something seems up with yano.

Haven't watched this is months, for some reason I wasn't in the mood for serious plot. Really liked this episode though, hopefully I'll finish this within a few months.

Another really solid episode, as we draw near the close of the first half and Exodus. I thought this was a great episode for the Director. As this forum has shown the Dragonball drawing scene and subsequent brief sumo struggle with Honda were stand out parts of the episode.

The part about the sound effects was pretty interesting as well. I thought it was funny how particular the sound engineer was like even about the way the girl would be walking through the water. Really makes you appreciate their job.

I have to say it's not that it was particularly weak but I didn't think Mii-chan's little arc in these two episodes was as strong as Ema's previous one. I liked it though, it reflects the impulsivity and desire to be satisfied of youth. Older people are more likely to stick it out in safe boring jobs. Younger people will sometimes abandon jobs they seem crazy too and after not much time just because they have bigger dreams. I hope this all leads to her actually making an anime with the other girls next cour.

One thing in the show I don't want to say I'm getting tired of but is getting diminishing returns is Miyamori's indecisiveness about her future. It's just been going on for so long, and I remember in this episode at some point someone tells her something about like pursuing your dreams that fits in with the rest of the shows life advice. And Miyamori just like slowly and pensively repeats exactly what he just said and it was a little goofy. I did like her drawn out fantasy sequence with her dolls when she hears Honda is leaving though. Seems like Yano might be too I wonder if it will be her and Tarou as the veterans dealing with some newbies next cour.

Loved this episode, loving this series, can't wait to watch more. Miyamori putting a stop to the Director's fun was great.

Here's the real question - will the animators end up ordering lots of cakes from the bakery where Honda works as "reference material"

-President's a pretty whimsical fellow
-Not gonna lie but SFX recording looks pretty cool
-I liked the SFX guy and the whole scene within the SFX place was pretty good since was paced at an understandable speed and it was actually educational
-Oh jeez everyone's quitting
-Who were those no-names during that montage in the director briefing
-The scene between Segawa and Ema after the director briefing was pretty adorable
-Looks like the stress is getting to Aoi with all the dream sequences
-Turns out things can be unintentionally meaningful with the gyroscope
-There is no way this turns out well, going off of what happened when Aoi got drunk and missed the call from Takanashi.

Turns out I'm enjoying this a lot more once I got used to all of the characters, but it took a really long time for that to happen.

Oh my gawd. Something like that made you want to be a CGI animator...please, go away and die.

Well it was decent CGI but not the sort of stuff that should inspire people.

The scene with recording sound effects was super interesting! Same with seiyuu recording their voices just to the sketches, that's quite impressive! Parts like these are probably my favourite thing about this series, you can learn a lot about how anime industry works.

5/5 Aw please don't quit yano.

Miyamori suddenly working for sound effects made me laugh for some reason.

So many characters had their moment to shine, it really felt like the buildup to a finale. I'm happy for them, especially proud of Misa for standing up for her dreams.

The bit with the sound engineer was pretty wacky but somehow it still had a purpose in the episode, so that was cool.

In the second cour we'll probably follow the production of the series that was brought up in that lunch meeting in the previous episode.

It would have been a hilarious dark twist if Aoi accidentally entered the wrong building and that old guy tricked her into recording his fetish porn or something.

So Honda-kun is chasing after his cake dream...that's quite a drastic switch from anime, but I wish him the best of luck.

Aoi might as well have let the director finish the night out. There's no way they're going to get any work done when he's that drunk.

Things are going much better than I thought, seems they are back on track again. Maybe not as much time for the last episode as for the others, but everything will be okay.

The best part about this episode for sure was learning about how sound effects and design were handled in the anime industry by seeing Aoi help out with stuff like walking on water or making monster like noises and have it digitally altered to make it sound more like a genuine monster was screaming. It was short, but interesting and fun to watch as well, makes me want to take part of those kinds of events too.

And everyone really be quitting their jobs for their dreams lol. As long as they're happy and can afford somewhat of a living, it's all good to see them take risks to go for it rather than regret in the long run for avoiding an opportunity, especially for Misa who left a pretty successful CG company with good pay and benefits to creatively challenge herself and make progress in her goal to one day make anime with the rest of the members of her former high school Animation Club.

Overall, I thought this was one of the better episodes for me, not in terms of its themes but I generally was entertained for the most part with some bits and pieces being interesting to learn about. Not much to really comment negatively about this one, compared to other ones where I've subjectively had some internal conflicts in various degrees and kinds, although nothing to indicate a terrible anime due to it.

I would chose cake over anime too.
