Liked the show. Not the cliffhanger. It felt forced. Also I am not sure how that replacement idol was able to kill Yuki in the idol office without anyone's help or anyone noticing. She is just 18 year old without accomplices after all. 8/10 for the anime.

Holy cinema! This is a masterpiece.

I wasn't expecting the twist that Odokawa saw everyone as animals, but it was an insane reveal. The ending was a cliffhanger but I'm assuming he has some plan to catch the killer since I'm pretty sure he knows it's her.

Okay, darn, that was some ending there! Surely Odakawa-san knew about it and has a plan in motion, right? Sakura-san clearly won't hesitate and I dearly hope he won't be taking any chances with her...

What a twist revelation of Odokawa-san seeing everyone as animals. There was a mention of humans last episode and I found that strange but it finally adds up now. We don't often see Natsuki Hanae-san play these kinds of roles but he's good at these, and the persona of Odokawa-san was spot on too! Tragic backstory there and mad respect to him for taking the plunge into the ocean although if he paid a bit more attention, he would've noticed that Yano and his lackey had already stopped the chase sometime well in advance. I binged this in about 24 hours despite my packed schedule and no regrets, solid 9/10 from here.

Mystery was up there but the shining feature of the show was the non-linear storytelling with various parties involved and their perspectives in the mix too. I'm surprised Tanaka-san got away with everything though, I don't think Odokawa-san was dreaming of that plot line, was he? Shirakawa-san was a really cool character too and the first thing coming to his mouth being pretty was so touching, I wish they showed us something definitive to seal the deal.

I'll make sure to check the drama audios and, most importantly, the movie! I know most of it is recap but honestly, if it expands on this finale in a neat way, I'm fine with it.

Man what a fuckin daaaaark ending. I thought there would be a little more up and down in this series but it is pretty consistently miserable. And yet, somehow it doesn't feel like its overdone in that regard. It worked out okayish for the people that tried to do good and most of the worst misery landed on the bad guys. But man, I don't know why Wadagaki had to be a Dexter-level serial murderer in the making? That just seemed kinda over-the-top.

In general I'm honestly not sure what to say about this show. It was compelling enough that I could easily watch as many episodes in a day as I had time for. All the characters are good and interesting (although Yano is annoying as hell). The story was a little convenient at times and it goes to some strangely dark places but in the end I liked almost all of it. Its kind of hard to think of a specific reason for why I was so interested in seeing where it all went though. Its a comparatively low-stakes crime story involving a lot of very pathetic people and you can tell from a mile away that it isn't going to have a happy ending. What an oddtaxi series. Still, I can see this being a cult classic that I'll re-watch in the future.
