Kyon, that's what you get for not having deleted the folder and daydreamed about Mikuru's third costume. Wake up. Yeah, like this. The light has become blue-ish, let's get this party started. "Suzumiya doesn't feel attached anymore to this world, so it is just... ending." DAMN. And... "you're the only one she chose for her. i forgot... Mikuru and Yuki have messages for you" Yuki writing such words is so, so powerful. "We all want for you to return, including me We'll see you in the library. Sleeping beauty." Especially considering Haruhi's sudden enthusiasm at her return... YEAH, THE BEST PART IS COMING, THE MUSIC HAS STARTED, RUNAWAY. "DON'T KNOW WHY, THIS IS EXCITING, HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE RIGHT NOW" "Even if i complain all the time, i liked that kind of life" Stopped for a moment, laugh at me all you want, i don't care at this point. i'm teary-eyed once again, Kyon telling all those words, suddenly becoming happy, even thankful for the life is living now, even if Haruhi can't understand anything. He's close to her. "The world got interesting now since it revolves around you." The black and white flashbacks are going on. "the ponytail looks so good on you, it's criminal." BANG. Every single time i want to shout "YES! YEEEEEEEEES!" So many amazing satisfying moments thanks to Japan and its wonderful history with animation, but what can compare with this? (always think about Death Note episode 2 ending and yes, it's still up there, but this is 2nd or 3rd place and there is no debate). Damn, i would have never wanted to wake up from something like this, NEVER. Oh, well, it wasn't a dream, Koizumi confirms. "Do you think someone like Asakura could attack me again?" "Don't worry, i won't let it happen". You're great, Yuki. Mikuru crying... And everything returns "normal" again, with a bonus of making the club official too. Kyon arriving one hour earlier, smiling while waiting for her, while being just the two of them. i can't... i just can't take it. Sorry Gintama, you're amazing and all but Suzumiya has successfully defended her spot as number one favorite anime series, i just needed one more rewatch to confirm, broadcast order is just untouchable. i was already more and more fond of anime series in general in the mid to late 2000s especially thanks to italian MTV Anime Night, but discovering Haruhi and her world plus having the series finally imported with italian dub in late 2008 despite a initial lack of television broadcasting became the point of no return, and contributed hard for the best to elevate japanese animation in general as a major interest of mine at the same level of videogames, basketball and nostalgic music (and later easily surpassing all of them in the following 15+ years). Especially because of her and her insane antics and with such a perfect supporting cast, she couldn't knock at the door and come into my existence in a better moment... regardless of unfortunate facts that now i feel even harder as a Kyon that never met her own Haruhi, not that it should have ended at all costs into boyfriend / girlfriend situation, marriage, family etc... etc... It never happened, and now existence (life seems a stretch as a word) has become so empty that it would have made Kyon freak out even harder than he did when he "woke up" and that now almost only anime in general can fight to fill its content (another exaggerated word) full of nothing. i could go on forever, every time i listen to Hare Hare Yukai including this rewatch i clumsily try to do the exact same dance along with the characters, being sure nobody else can watch, almost turning into a completely different person for one minute and a half. That's the power of this series. 10+/10. TO EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THIS... THANK. YOU. |
