All the maid had to do was keep her mouth shut.
Nope! Instead deliver a pointless speech.
And holy hell was the king smart! Going against the church from the Central Alliance, yeah, that's not gonna cause any problems!
That ending scene...it seems as though Demon Queen has been in love with reincarnations of Hero. That would explain her obsession with him, then.

The voice speaking at the end got me reeeaaaallly curious... There's a lot of heroes being held the same way as the "current" Hero by "Maou"? Does that mean that they won't succeed with their goal on their era and the other heroes shown will be the next heroes? Or they were the previous heroes? Urgh.. got me very curious now! But I do think that the voice at the end is the Light Spirit.

This episode was awfully bland and generic. This series in general seems to draw from the myth that serfs in the Middle Ages were all starving and had horrible living conditions. While it's true that serfs were in submission to their lord (and to god), with the exception of during the black plague their living standards were mostly fine.

I didn't blink the entire time she was giving that speech, it was brilliant. That said, we can expect that the church won't let things end like this.

The king blocked the sword swing literally within a second before beheading. WTF was the Hero and Female Knight doing!?! If the king had not blocked, there is no chance big sis maid could have been saved, the Hero could not have teleported in for a block otherwise he would have shown up the exact same time the king blocked. Hero and Female Knight were going to let her die.

The political mess of stepping in is no excuse. I'm pretty sure female knight could have defied them, she was the freaking army general of the attack on the island. She may be below the Hero in status, but she's pretty high up there. And there's even less of an excuse for the Hero, he's the guy who put big sis maid in that position. Doesn't his title supersede the church? Or at least the messenger calling the shots? Regardless, once the plan went sideways, he should have stepped in to ensure big sis maid's safety, at the very least prevented her would-be death. Frankly he should have wasted them, and see if they dared to go after the Hero. And if he's too chicken to endanger his title of Hero, go put on the black armor and waste them. Holy cows, I can't believe asshat Hero was going to allow her to be beheaded, what a loser.
