| What an epic episode. Thorfinn going face to face with Snake was cool. Seeing a reflection of Askeladd in Snake's sword lunge gave me chills. Thorfinn dodging his attack gave him back his survival instincts and will to live. It was almost like a reflex. Also seeing Einar going berserk mode as he is reminded of his mom and sister is very powerful. I can feel his hatred towards the "warriors" that pillaged and burned his village. Just glad that he restrained himself from choking Thorfinn all the way. It was a good thing that Thorfinn was screaming and feeling bothered about his nightmare of a dream. The effects of being a warrior is bring back ptsd. |

| Yo, Thorfinn's instincts kicked in. Snake's look reminded him of Askeladd. Well, this affirmed that Thorfinn still has the will to live. I can understand how Einar would feel after knowing Thorfinn's true past self. Poor Thorfinn still regrets whatever he had done in the past. He still has nightmares regarding such stuff. Wait, was that king Canute in the end?? Don't tell me he's about to invade the farm or smth. Saw some old faces in the preview. Pretty hyped for the next episode. |

| Oh god this is still so fucking boring 4 episodes about slaves, farming, and cutting wood,,,,,,, how exciting And IMO most of the characters are so over the top. Either they are depressed and do not want to live, or are overly nice. Or load as fuck and annoying,,,,, Also in this time period, slaves are expensive property. Mercenaries that live and work for those slaves owner should know this and I find it unrealistic that they would kidnap and torture them But hey, the animation is at least great. Then on the other hand it feels so wasteful, this show doesn't deserve it Anime!! You now have 2/10 for being boring and annoying! I want my shieldmaidens to arrive and kick some ass. Give me some cool waifus =)  |

| Jesus man this episode was the best this season yet. From the moment Einar questions Thorfinn I knew we were in for a treat this episode and it did NOT disappoint. Thorfinn's nightmares, being haunted by the people he killed were incredible. It literally goes scene for scene from the awesome battle from episode 7 which will now just be remembered in tragedy instead. Einar and Thorfinn both need each other on this farm, and the last conversation between the two kick starts a potential great friendship. |

| Impeccable second part of the episode. Thorfinn's trauma is one of the realest I've seen in anime precisely because his actions directly led to countless victims like Einar. There's no redeeming quality to anything Thorfinn did in the first season and it makes the severity of his sins hit that much harder. |

| Aha. Now I remember why I stopped reading the manga a long time ago. It was right around this chapter. I just couldn't endure seeing Thorfin this way. And Canute....*sighs* Let's just say he annoyed me even more, despite the change he goes through. |
| Snake is something else. “Your body says it want to live” that’s interesting. Arnheid is a keeper. Thorfinn, has new clothes now and it actually looks good on him. “I don’t remember how many” Thorfinn :( “Do you hate me now, Einar” they just want to get me emotional in every single episode. The scene where Einar tried to kill Thorfinn while he was sleeping reminded me of the Askeladd scene. Thorfinn is having nightmares again. “Thank you for waking me, Einar” Einar is going to be the light the Thorfinn needs. This season is amazing. |

| For a second there, I was certain that Thorfinn would wake up and fight Einar before he could strangle him to death. But a part of me thinks that if he woke up that time, he would let him and wouldn't fight back. For me, the reason Thorfinn defended himself against Snake was that the moment Snake glared at him, it reminded him of Askeladd. |
 She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did! |
