Haha your posts are just killing me!

While Satsuki's death will affect my final score for this show negatively, Ryuuko dying will definitely make it plummet, especially if it's in the vain of Gurren Lagann's horrible ass ending.

It's much too late to want dramatic scenes, though. Just last episode there was a lot of silliness (from the Mankashoku family and Mako herself) when the ship was in trouble.

Hell, I'm not even sure that scene in episode 16 with Ragyou and Satsuki was done to get the reactions a lot of people give it.

Some people say the ship was always a blade...

As for Ryuuko splitting in half only to be whole and hearty a few seconds later it's not a deus ex because Scissor Blade... right?

Except Bakuzan and the scissor blade are made from hard life fibers (according to Ragyou) which probably leads to the thought "life fibers can't cut life fibers", huh?

But then we have the once armless Nui and all those students who Ryuuko beat and absorbed their life fibers to think about...

It's good that the 4 Elites haven't been completely tossed aside like DBZ villains.

The eyes being magically restored thing was a WTF moment that would have been called out in any other anime, but since it's KlK... meh.

@ Jericho Death,

Relax not saying it was a deus ex machina (the ship) just pointing out that if the guy I was quoting thinks that was part of the deus ex machinas in the episode some people disagree.

I go after the MAIN deus ex in that episode, though (Ryuuko fake death).

Though it has to be said, the ship blade being able to pierce the OLF and the ship blade actually being built and to combat Ragyou and or the OLF which can fly is a bit questionable (why a boat to fight a flying thing? The ship WAS designed as a blade, right? Which means it was meant to be used to pierce stuff, right? How did they intend on piercing something that flies without OP Mako? What material is the ship blade made of for it to be able to pierce the OLF? Why a ship to go after Ragyou besides plot?)

I really don't know whether to like this show or not.

This episode was fantastic though. By far the best one.

The Elite 4 just get better and better, and the ship launching into the original life-fiber had to be the highlight of the episode.

Never thought I'd be hyped for this show again.

I must have missed the part where Nudist Beach knew all about the flying cocoon and exactly how the life fibres were going to take over the world. Oh wait! I didn't....so I'm getting the feeling that that might be made up.
Too bad Nudist Beach also had no idea how to cut life fibres with their life fibre cutting tools and all.
Also too bad that it was never shown that people infused with life fibres could regenerate if a single thread remained in place.
Lots of stuff that's just too bad ;)

I'm not a fan of the Mako ending, really preferred the first one, so when Nui cut the credits short I was really happy.

With each episode I like Nui even more. I didn't really care the moment she showed up, but with the last few episodes, every time she appears she creeps me out a bit more. I love that.

Also, shouts out to the biggest phallic reference in this anime. That one is far bigger than my arms can stretch out to show.

That episode was kick ass. Wow. If nothing else I can say that this series never failed to entertain me on a weekly basis...

I was clapping in front of my computer while watching the elite four final uniform transformations and watching them absolutely wreck shit, was just amazing.

Only thing that sort of bugs me is I don't really know WHY Ragyou wanted to partner with the life fibers, maybe I missed something in an earlier episode's explanation of it. What is she really seeking to gain out of destroying the whole planet? I guess she just believes that life fibers are superior to humans as she mentioned the food chain stuff in this episode, but I still feel like her motivation as the series' main villain is fairly weak/meh. But oh well, still very fun to watch the fighting and the interactions between characters is done really well.

the Mako part where she powered up the ship got me teary eyed.

the last transofmation scene w/Ryuko & Satsuki was epic as beyond belief, even better than the Omnirobe or whatever she called that Pharaoh's suit after the credits.

Hmmm, interesting points, interesting poi--

If that's the case THEN WHY A SHIP? LOL

How the hell did they plan to get it into the air without OP Mako i.e. plot/deus ex machina?

Given the ship's design they would've meant to use it to stab or cut SOMETHING eventually, right? And since they were going after Ragyou I think using a great big ship to stab her would be a little too much don't you think, RRF my boy a.k.a Kill la Kill's biggest fan lol

Oh wait, there's still the problem of it being able to pierce the OLF!

We just found out this ep that Bakuzan and the scissor blade are made of not normal life fibers (very hard ones). That was the hokey explanation given for how they were able to cut and completely destroy life fibers! It would be safe to assume therefore (what with Ragyou pulling out her weapon from it) that the material used for Bakuzan and the scissor blade originated from the OLF.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, Kill la Kill's greatest fan ever, but if Nudist Beach had cutting tools capable of doing that much damage to the OLF, they wouldn't have to go after Ragyou using missiles, and stupid little mech now would they? (I think you confused yourself with your own sarcasm there)

Everyone would go out armed with things capable of permanently damaging life fibers and there'd be no need for those suction things they keep using, right? The story would've ended a little quicker too.

Chottou matteeee! Besides Sanageyama borrowing Satsuki's bakuzan pieces before her rescue, which other Nudist Beach member used anything capable of destroying life fibers during their battles? Hmm? It was implied that the E4 were the main line of Nudist Beach defense, what with Sanageyama's uniform being the last one left (before it too was destroyed and all).

And although Nonon defended Mataro from a life fiber or two using two blades, that low level life fiber was not destroyed. If it were and what she was using was capable of doing such damage then they probably would've sent a lot more people along with her and there'd be no need for her to run and hide with Matarou...

But wait again, Bakuzan and the scissor blade were made from HARD LIFE FIBERS that we can assume originate from the OLF though! Which would mean (if we're going to assume since that's most this show's holey plot allows) that the material of the ship's blade is from the OLF and not ordinary life fibers gathered from the COVERS they defeated!

It can also be assumed that HARD LIFE FIBERS that can be forged into blades probably have originations from a molten core, the OLF seems to have a molten core due to its ominous red and gold glow and this is where the material used in the ship's blade came from, what with being able to pierce the OLF and all, something we can assume no ordinary blade or no blade made from ordinary life fibers would be capable of doing, since assuming is mostly what this show's thin plot allows...

So with ALL THESE ASSUMPTIONS taken into consideration, how did Nudist Beach get their hands on that material capable of piercing the OLF when the OLF was in the Kiryuin manor all along? Hmmm...

And yeah severing someone in half where both pieces of their body fly in different directions doesn't constitute complete severing of their life fiber threads. Not one bit. lol

I wouldn't post anything in reply if I were you.

Because it certainly woun't be read by these eyes.

This EPIC episode really brings the house down! haha
I haven't scene an anime for a while wherein dual sword fights are highly exclusive.
Ryuuko's dual scissors with double decapitation! Oh yeah
I like the teamwork between Ryuuko and Satsuki.
They managed to tricked Raigyo while giving time for the Nudist Beach to strike the Life Fiber ship.
Mako's fight scene was awesome. I laughed how her mother feeds her while she beat the enemies' asses. The way she powered the engine's ship along with the club leaders was also awesome.
The final elite 4 ultima uniforms are badass. As they say, "good guys still wear black." Nonon's though was somehow revealing. hahaha
Oh for PC master race people, PROBE REGALIA RULEZ! LOL
Gamagoori giving back Mako's hat was sweet.
Nudist beach's final weapon. A BFS SHIP! Oh gawd! GREAT NAKED BLADE!!!!!
The dinner part was kinda anti-climactic but it was hilarious.
So, Nui singlehandedly forged that new GodRobe huh? It kinda looks like a Japanese female wedding uniform. lol
The BGMs in this episode were executed well. I wish I will get the full version soon.
"DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY!" What a good way to end the episode with Satsuki leading the march towards the academy.
Nui messed the ED. haha I was wondering if Yukari Tamura sang that version.
Finally, a Mako, Satsuki and Ryuuko trio team. It's one of the things I really wished from this show. To see 3 major heroines teaming up together to beat Raigyo, Nui and Hooumaru's asses.

Honestly, KILL LA KILL is the only over-the-top action anime this season along with Noragami that really interests me. It's so sad next week will be the final episode. I really loved this episode and I'm really expecting another plot twist. PLEASE TRIGGER! GIVE US A PLOT TWIST ENDING! IN ORDER FOR THE SHOW TO HAVE SEASON 2. XD

Overall an epic and fun entrance to the finale.

Ragyo Ultimate Rei form! (its nice to see what she was going to be used for - I still want to hear if there might be some explantation as to why she was the ultimate power source for Ragyo)

The Elite Four are back better than ever! - that heart patch!

Mako fights!....eats!....loses weight in hyperspeed!

Nudist Beach Dagger and the Life Fiber Innuendo!

Ragyo gets caught monologuing and feels herself up while excited for destruction!

Ryuko escapes an insta-slice kill and gets all fired up to finish off the Original Life Fiber.

Everyone's together for this final episode and one "maybe" last cup of tea?

Nui breaking the 4th wall, getting new arms and setting us up for the final showdown.

Ganbatte Trigger! Finish the last episode! You can do it! :)

Its going to be fun to see how this concludes next week - will they all be back for another glass of tea? - Craziness and uniqueness of the world vs. the controlling clothing conglomerate. "Past the Infinite Darkness!" People be ready!

Why not a ship?
You're based in Japan which is a group of Islands, and fighting beings with air superiority. It's just putting 2 and 2 together.

I again must have missed the part where Aikuro was ordering the crew to get the ship airborne. It seems more likely that plans were made on the fly seeing as no one was expecting giant cocoon clothe mama to change course for a paltry ol ship.

I'm yet to see someone claim to be KlK's biggest fan. It's not in my favourites because it doesn't offer nearly as much as the best anime on my list, but does a pretty good job for what it is.
I just use ma brain, that's all. Unfortunately, so many others seem to leave it at the door :(

Oh yes! The problem of the ship being made by an organization specifically made to combat life fibres WITH weaponry designed to cut those life fibres. How could I still be missing something there? It's not like they have knives that can cut them or bullets that can pierce and weaken them anyway. What would they need stuff like that for? Umbrellas and sandals are all you need for the beach.

And of course, instead of conserving their greatest resource, they should coat every and all items in their possession with it because obviously there's no shortage of life fibres and such. They can go to their local convenience store and order 2 bakuzans and 5 kamuis. That's military tactics 101 right? Make everything (including soldier's underwear and hats) a nuke, your greatest accessory.

Of course, let's not forget that the OLF was completely made of hardened life fibres too. That much was obvious with its life fibre missiles that were not made from them and the covers they released that were not made from them too.

And of course I forgot the age ol truth "Things being modelled after something MUST be made from that same thing. Clothing modelled after animal fur MUST be made from animal fur because other materials cannot be used for replicating them." Silly ol' me and the clothing industry! What would we do without your wisdom?

And here we have the wisdom of Ollythirteen at its finest: "So with ALL THESE ASSUMPTIONS."
Assumptions are the stuff of truth and all judgements must be based on them instead of the sense God has granted us with.

"it certainly woun't be read by these eyes."
Knowledge is gained by closing your eyes and letting it seep through your pores. That is how we learn and come to understand the flaws in our logic as human beings.

I just love Satsuki and the Elite Four. Especially during the scene when Ragyo tries to attack Satsuki. I don't know, it's so cool to have a leader and her true partners and friends show their undying loyalty to each other.

Holy crap that was an intense episode O_O New Deva uniforms are pretty sweet, and along with Mako they can protect the ship eh :D
A little bit of explanation for why Nui couldn't regenerate ... then pretty intense fighting :O Dat plan from Ryuuko ... clever, using Satsuki as the "decoy" again :P Then the ship turns into a blade and they manage to cut down the Life Fiber eh ... that was certainly easier than I expected XD (Guess we only have one episode left but still haha :P)
Here we go, the final confrontation ... Nui gets some "hands" back and Ragyou gets a pretty intense Godrobe, looks like. Hououmaru (?) is a sacrifice for it? O_O Meanwhile Iori managed to get the Ultima Uniforms back for all the club presidents eh ...
A bit more of the ED and then NUI INTERRUPTS! This last episode is gonna be good, isn't it? :D

What did Satsuki meant by "Don't smash your cups"?

Was that a Japanese tradition?

If so, what is the name of that? i want to learn more about that

It means that Satsuki triggered her largest death flag.

They did that in a previous episode. I don't know what the name of the "tradition" is, but it more or less seems like a lets give it our all in the face of death; willing to fight to the death.
Instead, she wants the tea cups around, so they can actually drink tea after the fight.

Actually it referred to a tradition Japanese kamikaze pilots employed during WWII. Whereby before going on their mission they would drink a cup of sake and smash the cup on the ground, if i'm not mistaken that is.

Because the first time she and her team drank tea and smashed their cups was right before she openly declared a war against Ragyo. I think back then Satsuki was prepared to die in order to defeat her mother at all costs. The cups' smashing most probably was a symbol of the acceptance that she and her team might pay with their lives in order to fulfill this ambition. But now Satsuki found her little sister, who she presumed dead for all these years, and gained new allies in the fight against her mother, so she's no longer prepared to die. I think she no longer considers herself alone and wants to win this battle to preserve the lives of everyone who fights side by side with her. At least that's how I see things.
