Still oblivious in her sleep to his pain, the further smell of blood began to turn her dreams into nightmares.

The pain lessened for now and Lucas got up slowly, taking a deep breath and picking up the empty blood bags. He tossed them into the garbage can and went to the bathroom to wash the blood off of his face.
