| Masaru allowed himself to get hit in the back, sending him away however he rolled and got back on his feet, quickly getting into a defensive stance once more. This is how Masaru usually fought with those who could equal with him, he allowed the to believe they were winning and that he was weaker. In the mean time he would be examining their style, attacks, and abilities before actually using his full capabilities. He remained silent, both his mask and eyes did not show his true emotions. |

Right now, both of us are not even using half of our capabilities. It's pretty obvious that someone of your level would not waste your time using all your efforts to defeat someone you don't know how to counter or battle against."He stated calmly before laying his sword on his right side."I am not the one who's wasting my time talking high about my skills and abillities while my opponent is waiting. Why am I the cocky?"He asked, provoking Masaru. |

| Masaru closed his eyes for a moment. "You truly are naive." He stated calmly. "I'm not going to give you the option of using your full skills. You're either going to use your full capabilities, or you will die." He said as if it were a normal thing. "Nemesis, fight against him with me. You aren't on his level however you're still an officer, we can deal with him quicker and then set the explosives." |

| Nemesis smirked taking off his bow from his back. He prepared three arrows and stood still. He looked to Masaru and nodded. Masaraki stood still as if waiting for an attack but before this, he took out three smoke grenades from his back and throwed them out on a sequence, causing the entire area to be engulfed by a pitch-black smoke. Nemesis quickly jumped to a high-level area."You're both incredibly agile and very good at one-on-one combat. But the only chance for you to win me is now wasted. You should have attacked me before I finished the Smoke Grenades. The only way you had to defeat me, was if you saw my movements and was able to predict them. But if you're not seeing me, you can't defeat me. While I can perfectly see you..."Masaraki stated calmly. He quickly went to attack Masaru by his back with the Sword of Bones swinging it downwards. |

| Masaru looked around in the smoke as Masaraki spoke, however then seemingly closed his eyes calmly and sheathed his blade. "I already told you not to get cocky." He said as he waited and listened carefully. Masaru had heard Masaraki approaching, even before he launched his attack. Masaru sidestepped out of the blade's path like water moving around and object. |

| Masaraki wasted no time in attacking once more and the attack would have been fatal if Nemesis hadn't launched an arrow that perfectly hit his sword. Masaraki had fallen back after that, disappearing in the smoke's darkness."Masaru, I'll be launching off Explosive Arrows with timers. That way you can hear them and evade them before they explode. Each arrow has a 5 seconds timer, be careful."Nemesis shouted to the dark smoke. Even tough he said that each arrow had 5 seconds of timer, they actually had 3 seconds, he and Masaru knew that it was a lie. Masaraki stood silent."He can hear me approaching him. Then..."Masaraki catched stones on the ground and tried simulate his movements sound with the stones. He threw one by Masaru's left side and quickly attacked him by his right side, leading his sword through Masaru in a diagonal upwards direction. |

| Masaru nodded very slightly to Nemesis and kept his eyes closed. When Masaraki threw a stone at his left side, Masaru's head moved very slightly towards the sound of it, however he could still hear the series of steps it took for Masaraki to move to his right side, once more Masaru stepped and leaned back like water around an object before the blade hit him. In fact, it was much easier fighting him like this, sight actually put him at a disadvantage for someone with incredible speed, but if he just listens to his movements rather than watch them, he could win. |

| Masaraki tried to back down but before he could notice there was an arrow behind him. He quickly jumped before it exploded but the impact threw him a bit afar from Masaru. Thanks to the eplosion some smoke was cleared out and a area in the middle of the smoke screen could be clearly seen."This is getting harder by the minute... If it keeps up like this, I'll lose. That guy has very aguced senses. But I can use this against him..." Masaraki quickly ran toward Masaru grinding his heavy sword on the ground. He came by Masaru's right side but quickly jumped high enough to go over Masaru. With that, Masaraki swinged his sword downwards, a bit to the left of Masaru. |

| When Masaru breathed in, he could no longer smell the smoke, where he was at the very least. He still kept his eyes closed, he heard Masaraki approaching his right side, then head something land to his left. At least he can use his brain. Masaru thought. Either way the attack was coming at his right or left, so he just needed to evade both instances. He did a back flip, landing on his hands and pushing them forward of the ground to send him farther away. He landed on his feet and kept silent once more. |

Masaraki then ran directly to Masarau avoiding the explosion of the arrow and using the explosion's sound to take advantage over to attack Masaru by his back."Let's see if he can evade this..." Masaraki tought as he swinged his sword on Masaru's legs. |

| Did that get him? No... Masaru thought, opening one eye and looking around. He didn't see Masaraki around him, then remembered his back. He jumped and sent a kick towards the general area behind him, though it wasn't aimed at anything, it was merely meant to send him back. |

| "Now's my last chance!"Masaraki, in extreme speed, evaded the kick by jumping and swinged his sword to Masaru's legs and quickly jumped to fall back before an arrow was sent to his position. Nemesis took another opportunity to launch two arrows in quick succession to Masaraki's direction. Masaraki dodged one but wasn't able to dodge the second so easily. The explosion's impact sent him flying back a bit but no major damage was made. |

| The blade this time had hit his leg, as a moderate gash was shown across it. Masaru looked at it blankly. What was strange is that he didn't seem that hurt by it. Most people would have grunted, or shown they were in pain. Masaru however looked at it as if it were a splinter that just wouldn't come out of your finger and was merely annoying him. |

| Masaraki was quite impressed with Masaru's resistance to pain but didn't expressed it. Nemesis looked over the battlefield, analysing what other options they had."Even tough Masaru does not feel pain, that leg won't be the same, his movements will slow down, and that's all that Masaraki needed."He tought. Nemesis quickly catched 6 arrows and agrouped them on his bow, aiming at the Iron Door that separeted them from the Crypt. He quickly launched the 6 Explosive Bows and they all perfectly reached the door and blew it up causing a enormous impact and explosion. The smoke from the entire area was finally cleaned and the door was not there anymore. Masaraki looked at the blown door with a angry look. He quickly went to attack Masaru at all his speed, attacking from diverse directions in a small fraction of time."I need to put an end to this before they get in..." |

| Masaru had drawn his blade this time, however he wielded it like most swordsman did, without the reverse grip. When Masaraki attacked him, he remained still, allowing the blade to lodge itself in his shoulder, it didn't reach the vital organs but was moderately deep. However, again Masaru did something strange. He gripped Masaraki's sword-arm with his left arm tightly, denying him escape. He looked straight into Masaraki's eyes with his own cold and deadly ones. "I'm done playing with you." He said harshly as he thrusted his katana for Masaraki's stomach. With him gripping his arm, he didn't have much options for evasion nor could he remove his blade to parry it as Masaru was holding it in place. |

| "... You Losed..."Were Masaraki's last words before he used his left hand to push Masaru's hand and make him miss the thrust. Not losing opportunity, Masaraki used his left elbow to hit Masaru in his face with all his strenght, aiming for his chin. Nemesis quickly launched a weak explosive arrow to try to separate them before the situation got worst. |

| The hit to the face seemed to not affect him that much. The mask was hard, obviously not something to just hide his face. "Did I?" He questioned as he quickly switched the grip to a reverse grip and thrusted it back towards him, the blade heading towards his back just after it had first missed. With Masaru's hand still gripping his arm tightly. This position was even more awkward to deal with. |

But my legs are free..."Masaraki tought as he actually jumped and stepped over the Sword of Bones, deepening the wound on Masaru's shoulders and injuring his hand. However, before anything more could be made, the weak explosion arrow blew up Masaru and Masaraki afar to each other."Enough, Masaru, this is taking too much time... Let's attack again once we are with a bigger squad..."Nemesis shouted from the window of the church. Masaraki ignored Nemesis and kept his battle stance, expecting Masaru to not give up at this time. |

| "No. I'm not leaving without it." Masaru told him. He was bleeding heavily however he paid little mind to it. "The door is open, go get it. I'll keep him busy." He told Nemesis as he pulled out his pistol as well. |

You know that death is the only thing that awaits you on the end of this journey, don't you?"Masaraki said, changing his battle stance. This time, Masaraki seemed like he was lighter and stronger than before. He quickly ran towards Masaru expecting him to shoot him so that he could easily evade. Masaraki was faster than before and had a lot more space than before too. Without the Explosive Arrows to take him away from Masaru, he could do a lot more damage without having to fall back. |

| "It annoys me how you discard my words. Don't get cocky." Masaru sighed. "No, you will die. Perhaps not today but you will die. I'm not as merciful as the former rank 0. With her, at least you had a chance at survival. But, she gave you kindness and mercy and you repaid it with fire..." He said, though it was unclear whether he spoke to himself or Masaraki. Masaru removed his coat which dropped to the floor like a thick heavy coat even though it appeared quite thin. He then removed his mask and let it drop to the ground with a strangely loud thud. He did the same with his gun, and his sheath. His face was as blank as the mask as he waited for Masaraki to get closer to him. |

She trained you well, that woman..."He said before he continued to run toward Masaru, he made a swing-pass trough Masaru, cutting his stomach lightly as he kept running around to maintain speed. |

It has always been what humans do best." He stayed still as his stomach was slightly slashed. "And I do not believe your words. Your actions have betrayed them. It is far to late for you to attempt to be sympathetic now. Besides, by doing that you hurt every other factions chance at survival more than you hurt us." |

| Masaraki finally stopped moving. He lifted his sword to reveal some kind of liquid that was on the blades."Paralising poison. I imagined you would let me hit you with it. It is impressive isn't it? This poison is natural from my blade. With that last hit, you'll be paralised for 1 or 2 days. Should be starting to make effect now even tough you resisted a lot."He said before lightly sighing."I guess that's true. Even tough it was not my doing, it is in the reputation of my clan. As the Leader, I must take responsability and try to clean our relashionship with other factions. I wanted to start with you, Deathwatchs, but it seems like you're not going to accept it..."He said landing a fearsome glance on Masaru. |

| "Those weren't the actions I was speaking of." Masaru said calmly. He could feel the poison however didn't show it. "I mean allowing your priests to go out of their way and molest my younger officers and agents. I mean keeping her ashes in a foolish belief that it could protect you and your people, or perhaps you simply as a trophy." He said. "Also, this was your last chance to not underestimate me." He said, he still had the explosives, and since Nemesis blew up the entrance with his arrows, it was unused. Masaru had pressed the button shortly before, insuring the timer to detonate when he wished before he threw it up towards the ceiling of the crypt. It appeared to be stable enough that should the rest of it collapse Nemesis would be able to retrieve the ashes and they be able before it did so. It detonated, causing that part of the ceiling to collapse and block Masaraki on the other side of it. "There. Now Nemesis needs to hurry up and get it before the poison makes me completely paralyzed..." He said quietly to himself as he sat down and stayed still, as to make sure the poison spread as slowly as possible. |

| Ellana was one the side with Masaru but she didn't seem too concerned with that at the moment. "Masaraki are you okay!?" She yelled trying to get a response out of him. |

But right after I would, the poison would have spread and I'd have doomed myself and my subordinate." He stated calmly. "However, I don't believe you have the will to kill me, let alone an extremely bloodied and poisoned person." |

Don't worry, he won't waste his opportunity by killing you."Masaraki shouted from the his side. Nemesis quickly appeared coming out of the Crypt by running in Masaru's direction. He stood in front of Masaru holding a crimson red urn."Masaru, are you okay? You look like you don't have much left in you. Come on, I've got the Ashes. We need to get out of here and communicate with Sky and Star."He said, helping Masaru up. |

| Arriving at the Church with Clay, Masaraki walked toward the statue of Jesus that the church retained. He kneeled down before the statue and prayed for his brother to be sent to heavens and have calm life there, in peace. He knew that it was probably just another foul ideia of his but he still wanted his brother not to die. After, his brother was the one who teached him everything, with a kind grin almost all the time. If it wasn't for his greed for power and hunger for blood, Kennen would still be here with him. |

| Masaraki slightly nodded as he prayed. When he finished, he got up and sat on the throne that was in the middle of the church. "Sure, go ahead, Clay. Do anything you wish." He said with kind grin. Masaraki decided to let go for now and go back to be who he was before all this. He wasn't ignoring the facts but was just accepting them. |
