You keep on bitching about her as if she did something physically to you. don't sweat it too much dude. stop whining about it already. I know you like rikka so much, you don't need to put such negative/hate comments on a character only just because she's annoying/bitchy as crap. |

Pretty much the only thing I found lacking so far was the lack of support male and now we have that too. 9/10 for now from me and if the story manages to deepen it might even get the top score from me. |

Great episode. Now i'm starting to understand Rikka. She have Chuu ni byou because she just cant stand the reality that her dad died. An emotional ep, but funny as always. Loved it. |

I wouldn't go as far as to call this show a masterpiece, but it comes pretty damn close in that it nearly perfected the love comedy genre. That episode was clearly a bit different from the rest, we got some of the usual silliness, but this time the focus is on Rikka's memories. The change between the usual Rikka and this episode's Rikka was actually quite surprising, but I didn't get the feeling it was forced or very unrealistic. Sure, the backstory gives the "seen it" feel (just like every backstory ever, let's be honest), but it's well presented, without too much drama, just the right amount for me. I'm actually kinda surprised they do all that stuff in the seventh episode. Wouldn't her coming to terms with reality "heal" her chuunibyou? You can't not fall in love with Kumin's innocence, that's like a law now. But I'm still mad at epilepsy existing and making the OP ten times worse than it was before. |

THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This episode was mainly a focus on Rikka whom I hate now as much as Shinka being a bitch. So for me it’s Sanae mostly and Kumin whom make things right. There is something about Rikka that rather insults me. That of her feeble weakness. Unlike her I got over the shit that plagues me while she has rather disturbing troubles of going over it. Do know her disease does happen when something traumatic happens suddenly and the mind can’t cope with it. It tends to rewire itself uniquely and what’s worst chemically with no science being good at knowing that brain part at 100% Chance of her healing are NIL! Therefore the viewer should conclude that kids like Rikka are like that cause their family are stupid and neglected them. Which goes back to the general cliche FAD of Japanese society and doing a wrong upbringing. The mother is lame herself for giving up on Rikka and her sister. The mother should be cursed for her lameness and abandon. That being said onto to my thinking. About Sanae, sole reason for me why I liked the episode itself. My favourite is the following, I really liked seeing Sanae in her swimsuit. It was a sexual satisfaction come true. The more skin of Sanae the better for me. The rest of my thoughts are in the club. However the post is too king-size for all and that's why it's there. |

I like this series, but I can't bring myself to really like Rikka. Lots of people have troubled pasts. It's a matter of learning to accept and move on. I get why there's sympathy for her because it happened at a young age, but I don't know, I still think the biggest victim here is her sister, who's had to work and raise her while dealing with the occasional nonsense. I would be disappointed if the ending simply has Yuuta going over to Rikka's side without any sort of maturation on Rikka's part. |

Good episode, though I would have liked it more if it didn't add drama and just stayed all fun and games until the end. |
I probably regret this post by now. |

I like Rikka's quirkiness and how she goes on "adventures" everyday. She's around 13 or 14 so I can be easy on her a little since she was traumatized at an early age and everyone around her (with the exception of her sister) abandoned Rikka when she needed it the most. She was never told about her father dying and when her father finally did die, it must have been a huge shock to her. I hate Sanae cause I think that she's just too much. People hate on Nibutani because she fights with Sanae but a lot of the time Sanae is the one who starts the whole thing by attacking Nibutani. |

She was so young, that he didnt want to tell her something, i'm 99% sure she wouldnt have understood. Rikka couldn't cope with the loss of her father, she didnt want to accept the reality and imo the reason she is the way she is today is because of the environment she grew up in. AFAIK she only started acting like a chuuni 2 years ago when she came to her grandparents home..., after her mother dumped her and Touka there. Her grandfather is strict and doesnt care to be tender and her grandmother doesnt understand her and her sister left her alone (although we know its for work) and i'm guessing Rikka feels betrayed by Touka and thats why she acts the way she does towards her. Rikka personality came out of a result of the surroundings she was in after she was already emotionally strained. If she was around the friends she has now, i think she would have been different. |

They always only ask where is dad...where is he? He will come back one day. At least that would not have made Rikka feel bad. |

Rikka most likely had a delicate personality before her father died and her father knew it. Rikka's father was just trying to protect her from being sad and not enjoying life while he was dying. Where I do blame the father is not telling her right before he died. He could have had a chance to explain things to her and give her time to prepare before he passed on. |

That's by far worse than Sanae and Sanae during this episode was not that badly bothered by Shinka when she opened the book. All in all it was Shinka fault in the first place to get Sanae's anger on her and in this episode it seems it's not even there.I hate Sanae cause I think that she's just too much. People hate on Nibutani because she fights with Sanae but a lot of the time Sanae is the one who starts the whole thing by attacking Nibutani. Shinka....GIVE UP MAN! That's all I got to say. Second of all I guess she is then using the getting closer as a friend to Sanae strategy. Question....will it work or Sanae will see through it? Naxrrhid said: As means to an end, I agree of this.AiCon said: ]Other people around the world don't live in the same town as her - let alone next to the same school and the same club. As far as she's concerned, other people around the world or even in the other end of Japan aren't a threat. It's only Sanae since she's the one person who reminds her of her past everyday and is the one person who can reveal Nibutani's past as Mori Summer. The book still being in existence was never a problem if you think about it. Shinka just shot herself in the foot by revealing it was her who wrote it. There was no evidence that Shinka was Mori Summer. The reason for all the 'fighting' over the book is just for comedy in the anime. |

For someone whose almost every single post on this anime has the word "Nibutani" on it doesn't really sound like hates for me. He is just a tsundere who likes to keep repeating he "hates" some character, deep down he actually loves her dear to the point that he has to include her name every time to remind himself of her. In "tsundere" language that would be something like "It is not like I love her or anything, ok? she is just annoying". For the reason Nibutani stays in the club, i think that it is because she can be her true self there and get rid of the stresses. I mean, it is not easy to lie and hide her true self all the time without somewhere to let it all out right? |

Well, sorry if i went overboard with that post, I was just really carried away by his post. Anyways, Agreed to your last statement, Nibutani stays for some reason/s. I don't have to deal with him again. It'll just waste my time and effort. Thanks for knocking some sense into me lol |

I mean, it is not easy to lie and hide her true self all the time without somewhere to let it all out right? I don't think lie and hiding her true self is the correct words. She's just trying too hard to be a "normal" high school girl. She's currently in her own self recovery/rehabilitation process in my opinion. For someone in that process, it's normal if she got agitated and panic when she saw Dekomori holding her grimoire books in public. Thus, she made an absurd plan to destroy the book existence. (Also as a symbolic action for her to erase her embarrassing past, though in this point, it's just my personal interpretation on her actions.) And yes, I agree with you that she stays with them because she can be her true self. You see, her own "delusional" view for a "normal" student is to be nice to all people, smile at all time, participating in cheerleading, and such. It's quite a burden to keep up with that acting, especially when you're not that kind of person. So she's unconsciously/consciously become closer to the people in the club, in which she doesn't have to pretend or holding back her true self. Now, why can't she just become herself in front of everyone, just like what she does in her club? Well, it's a matter of what Nibutani's thinks about herself. Just like people who looks at the mirror and keep thinking that they are ugly and must go through plastic surgery to become beautiful. As I said, she's trying to fulfill her view of a "normal" student when she wasn't in the club. |

i think you both are going overboard with the hate. Shinka, is a lot like Yuuta. I think she secretly enjoys the club. but can't admit it because she has come to terms with the fact that Chuunibyou are about as excepted as hikkikimori otaku.Shinka did lose points in my book for the fact that she used and manipulated Yuuta to get at the book. But outside of her treatment of Yuuta in the one episode, she seems pretty normal. I actually enjoy her feisty side. I especially like the comedic dual personality swings she pulls off. I also thinks she enjoys the club because it isn't judgmental like her cheerleader team. She doesn't have to be "super nice" all the time. I really think Shinka's biggest problem is that she went overboard in attempting to rid herself of the past. If she acted low key and normal in the new school she'd fit right in. I also think she went overboard in how she reacted to seeing Dekomori and the book. Yes, noone would know she was Mori Summer if she didn't say anything. But in her mind, it could be a social death sentence and she freaked out. I think Sanae is upset that the "great mage" she once adored has turned into what Shinka is now. I think a lot of Sanae's hi-jinx is to coax Shinka into returning to her true Mori Summer form. She constantly refers to Shinka as "fake More Summer." I think she knows Shinka is the real deal but could never return the book to someone she feels has been corrupted by the "sensible" Japanese society. I do think when Shinka stops shrieking at hearing passages from her own book and recites them back to Sanae, Sanae will return the book to the true "Mori Summer". |

Since it's KyoAni I have a hard time accepting that there will be no magical or some unexplainable supernatural events, my money is on Rikka actually having discovered something. Never really liked Rikka so I don't care that much about her but Touka, Sanae and Shinka were nice 3.5/5. |

Not showing any panties or any unnecessary fanservice shots in general = Great animation. LOL nope. KyoAni keep it classy. Each panty shot lowers a show's score by 1 instantly, and this effect stacks. Rikka in black dress = approved. |
