@Ethicalll your argument is really terrible, we ask: why it copies MiA? your answer: because it copies MiA (like wtf), but you didn't give some reasonable reasons "why" it copies it, we ask for the reason not the same statements over and over again... and just because it's slow pace --> very bad......copy of MiA (lmao), your mind is just too shallow for creating a good opinion apperently... if you don't like it then it's not a problem at all, the problem is your comparison is just plain stupid, if you somehow would like to share an opinion in a forum, be sure to bring some solid arguments first not just talking non-sense like this lol.. |

People usually say "I don't need to explain because it's so obvious" when they aren't actually capable of explaining their point. That's you right now. The two shows only have surface level similarities; nothing that would make Yorimoi a copy. Unless we're all just missing something, but I'm more inclined to believe that you're just talking out of your ass. |

We all have our tastes - from looking at your list of 10s and 9s, it's obvious your taste lie in the shounen area. This series is as far from shounen as you can get, so it's no surprise you wouldn't like it as much. There's still a lot of people calling this the AOTS though, with good reason. Just like next season there will be a lot of shounen-centric people calling BnHA the best thing since sliced bread. |

I can't hate the season if I have only watched one show. That's just stupid. Also, I hate the word hate. Let's swap it with dislike. Hate implements that I express my negative views on it just to ruin it for others, but that's not my intention. I'm looking forward to quite a few shows once they're finished actually, I just don't like overdramatic shows much. So when a show turns out promising and I become frustrated with it why not share it? It's a lot more of a useful thread if someone actually pointed out that they didn't like it for a change. All we have so far is yes sayers, and that's fine. Just here to share a different view on it. No one's saying you can't share your opinion. They are just expressing what they think about your opinion. I'm kinda surprised that you expected no one to say anything to you considering you're in the extreme minority that thinks the show is bad. |

If you like something nobody seems to bother demanding you to further evaluate why, if you dislike it everyone wants you to explain yourself. I don't want to center my life around explaining the things I don't like, but whenever you point out something negative it gets way more reactions. It's not my intention and it's annoying. When something is popular and highly rated, there will be plenty of people explaining why they like it, making it so not everybody has to do so themselves. They can just repeat what others have said when they agree with them. But if you're in the minority that doesn't like the show, there obviously won't be many other people agreeing with you, which means you have nothing to point to, and you're going to have to explain yourself. |

I just noticed the massive score jump. Now the MAL score of Sora Yori (rightfully) places it as anime of the season. I wish it could have broken into the overall top 50 though. Maybe we can hope for another jump I've already watched Sora Yori 3 times. My second favourite anime, Koe no Katachi, had me taking a week before re-watching it. I really hope the score for Violet Evergarden doesn't jump too much after it finishes airing. It doesn't deserve to be anime of the season in the same season as Sora Yori. |

Of course, it is a cute girls doing cute things anime but it is much more than that. The story is pretty good, but I think we can all agree that the characters are the fundamental base for this anime to be so good. What do you think? Is this the best anime of this season so far? For me, as you might guess it is one of the best. Let's hope everything goes fine and we have a satisfying ending. PD: Did you cry in episode 7? First of all if it was one of your bests, then why are you continuing to watch anime after reaching the peak? Those comments are always infuriating me, because you can't call quits on an ongoing progress. Second, yeah, it was pretty to watch and the character-development was good too. Some aspects were rather meh, but I blame japan for that. Like gorwn ups are always the bad and everyone should be on deck when there are 50 ft high waves. But to be honest the show was just like Angel Beats in some aspects. Probably like many other shows, that would never get such a deserving score, mostly because the viewer base is shifted nowadays to whatever crunchyroll tells everyone to like. If you compare the core of this show to e.g. Angel Beats you can see some striking similarities, but only if you let out the entire plot-base and go abstract. And this is something probably noone is interested into, because it's all just for show. |

Takagi-San was also a favourite for me, too. But I hope there will be seconds, so that he will finally get the drop on her. Or realize that he loves her - or 'like' as they always say in those shows. But Overlord is just another hypetrains to me. I never really got warm with this one, just like Darling in the Franxx, which has way too many attention and episodes (and studios) for its own good. But from that range of shows I would probably go with Yuru Camp as my favourite. It is quite similar to A Place Further Than The Universe, but without the drama and warmer color scheme. Besides what was it with those white lines around the characters? It made it look less prisitne and almost glowy gloomy. |

To me? Easily. This show was amazing from start to finish. Violet Evergarden was amazing, but it took several episodes to get to that point. Though Yuru Camp was incredibly comfy and enjoyable, it lacked the emotional impact that the other two had. |

Yeah, but you can't compare two shows really by their plot, because as long as it's not Fate or SAO there is nothing in similarity. You have to look at the overall structure to give an honest score, even though you could just go by whatever you want to. But then don't just say it's worse because there was no drama. To me drama is a pretty worn out system to get the tears jerking and the scores up. I bet you can compare this show to pretty much every other show that has the word "DRAMA" in it's description and a 13 episode mark and find a lot of similarities in it's core plot and "moments". Because those are practically everything that's to it. Well, that and the production value, which is mostly high with the number of money thrown into it. If the budget would've been lower there wouldn't be that debate. |

Completed Shirogane no Tamashii-hen and that show is a bit disapointing and not worth the score (hopes it's get better in the next season) but i still gave it a 7/10. That ice breaking scene was great. :) Episode 7 was really adorable with Shirases speech and 9 was the highlight of the whole series to me so far, it's a huge difference to see how much drama can lead a show once it resonates with you and packs some weight. I hope it carries that therapeutic aspect it shined at these past episodes and works with that, if it does I can see myself liking it a lot more as a whole. I'll edit this once I'm done watching. Glad you're liking it. This show is very much about the characters, and while they do an absolutely terrific job at presenting the girls; if you do not relate to any of them, it loses a lot of its impact. If you find yourself immersed with the characters, then that's where the series really takes off. I also noticed the series kicking up a gear from the Singapore episode (6) onwards; and let's just say it doesn't really let up until the very end. You may notice a lull (if you can call it that) in episode 10, since it's focused on Yuzuki, but it's still a very sweet episode in the end. Hope you'll enjoy the remainder of the series. |

Sora yori sold 7.6K which is already considerably more than what was predicted midway through the season (although it came short from the final prediction). Also, I am reading that the numbers would have been much higher if it weren't for out of stock situation. Apparently most of the places sold out through pre-orders and couldn't match the demands. Let's hope vol.1 reaches 5 digits. We are living in a time when good shows are selling less and less. So, it always brings extra smile on my face when I see good numbers for shows that really deserve them. Something like this happening to two shows (alongside Yuru Camp) I felt stood out this season is really something fantastic in a long, long while. :) |

And I was expecting it to sell well over 10K so it's normal. Yuru Camp sold tons of merchandises like hotcakes midway through the season so I already was aware of how successful it would turn out to be. Violet Evergarden will probably not hit even 4K but that will not have any negative impact on the production value. I read in 2ch that VE already made a huge amount of money even before airing by selling the simulcasting right to Netflix who had to outbid other competitions. It was already so profitable that they already had a green light for further adaptation. With a new book also coming out last month with more stories, they have quite the content in hand as well. What you should care about is what Japanese fans think about this anime and based on 2ch, nico and anikore, they loved it and that is all that matters because ultimately Sora Yori's value would come from the number of discs sold and no one would contribute in those numbers than fans in Japan. Personally for me Sora Yori has been my third favourite anime form 2018 so far. Since the other two anime are sequels, I would say it's my favourite new anime of 2018. The feeling is a bit special because I kept on telling everyone to look out for the anime when I first saw the promotional months before it started airing. I hope I am gonna get it right this season with Maso-tan as well! |

In the review section, there is a lot 5,6 and 7 score after VE is completed. Yorimoi and Yuru Camp always gain the rating every week but Yorimoi has the biggest gain from episode 1 to last episode. Which mean each episode was relatively better or each new viewer was excited to this series. VE just gained a lot ratings at episode 10. |

I like how you used sentence "a lot of work to upvote negative review" but yes that is the fact. But when i said review, i count all of that except preliminary, even that review has no upvote from another user. I agree with you, the hype is too strong but VE didn't give them what they expected. Otherwise on Yorimoi. There is no hype, it's original so we have less expectation to this series. But give us an awesome series. |

Otherwise on Yorimoi. There is no hype, it's original so we have less expectation to this series. But give us an awesome series. Even still, the situation with Violet Evergarden is one where anyone who doesn't like it will probably write a negative review. Everyone who doesn't like it seems to have a specific (and stupid) reason. The characters are bland, too much post processing, music is poorly used, it portrays positively a relationship between a young girl and older man in episode 5 ... and so on. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Violet Evergarden is a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but basically the only fair reason to hate it is if it didn't resonate with you (because if it did, the positives should easily make up for the nitpicks). Anyway, that's another reason why the reviews aren't especially useful as an indicator of anything with this series. Ultimately though, there's a big difference between the scores reflected in reviews and the scores people give without reviews anyway. I think the reason there wasn't a second jump was because the score was so high while it was airing, so it was a really contentious show. That meant a lot less people held off until they finished before scoring it. There's also the issue that relatively few people actually did finish it (Only 1/4 people are up to date). |

its the AOTS for me. Counting in sequels and "left overs" its on par with sangatsu no Lion. But shaft has a natural bonus to its adaptions. So yes, this is my AOTS. Violet doesnt even come close, every one of the girls here where more interesting and better written than her. And honestly, KyoAni always has the same kind of "beautiful" artstyle, so I even think Antacrtica looked better. I really liked the style madhouse used for this. I think its even better than Made in Abyss. Because it has been more consistent, and MiA obviously isnt over. So it evens out. TL;DR This anime right here is the reason I watch (seasonal) anime. You dont know about it, expect nothing, and get absolutely blown away. |

After all this time, no show could top this series on 2018. The only thing that was close of being better was No Game No Life:Zero (If you count it as 2018 because of the BD release, and if you count movies), but because the story was so confusing at times, and Schwi character was a bit forced, I belive Sora Yori is easilly the best of this year |
