Really lackluster, luckily i didn't expect anything from it, especially since i forgot it was gonna come out and dropped the light novel after reading quite a bit of it (due to disappointment and annoyance). But did Satoo really have a gun in light novel or manga? I don't really remember it (for whatever reason). If he did have it in light novel, alright, my mistake i guess. But if he didn't then holy shit why did they even bring a frikkin gun into it. |

I read the LN and enjoyed it (although i do feel that other similar LNs are better). The anime however seems to be VERY low budget, even on the very first episode (which means it is only likely to get worse, not better). If I didn't already know and like the story, i would have probably dropped this after the first episode. Not only was the art and animation often times of sub-par quality, but the first episode does not grab me at all. |

The anime director seems like one who tends to balance his budget more evenly than others. He did it similarily in Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry as well. Hmm so the main character is a game programmer interesting. Waking up and finding yourself in a game sure must have been shocking. But regressing back to how you looked when you were 15 must have been weird. But man that was one hell of a spell that was used to take down the lizards though. Funny how he levelled up that fast though. But along with the increased agility looks like money won't be a problem for some time yet. I guess language comprehension is a game skill as well. The soldiers sure gave a good account of themselves though thats for sure. And the mc leaping to catch the girl was nice. An interesting first episode actually and the mc sure is a interesting one. |

i'm very confused by the episode, so,, he was able to get so over leveled because he used all the missile strike perks, killing a lot of enemies. But then he's now able to use them freely as a skill ? i thought it was a one time perk, how does he have it as a skill now??? |

Don't get your hopes up for the GUI/chatlog getting translated by fansubbers (and simply not possible for non-styled subs like CR..) There is a massive amount of small + fast moving text which would be more than enough to cause a lot of systems to choke, so the only resource reasonable option would be hardsubbing, which has been frowned upon by most of us since softsubs became a thing. In addition to that, we're looking at a huge amount of screen space that would have to be given up in order for the subs to be readable, unless you actually edit the video to whiteout the actual log text. .. This IS one of the reasons I like the old-school TL-notes at the end of episodes sometimes. Would be far easier to slap up a still at the end w/ the translation/explanation for the chat-log/GUI stuff. |

I liked the first episode. However I like Liza and the other blonde thats not Zena. By there looks as of now. I mean the cliche main heroine is introduced immediately. I might end up liking her the best. But for now I root for Liza. That scaled neck of hers is interesting. Make this a different Harem anime from the rest dammit! |

For example Aegisub subtitle format (*.ass) is capable of doing that. I know that it is possible. I can use AegisSub myself, and regularly fix subs for my own archival. I also know that it is not a simple task to make the subs, nor render the subs in this case if using heavily stylized subs. I can't say for sure since I am not personally familiar with any of the source material, but I'm also thinking on the lines of consistent amount of scrolling text, so it should be doable to fully translate the logs if most episodes have far less than this one. BTW, looked thru the scroll after the BOOM, and the entire sequence contains only Item drop notices, so they could safely summarized with a TL note. There do seem to be a couple Skill notice popups during the lizardman fight tho, which sound like they are plot-important from what others are saying here, so I'm sad that my kanji skills suck badly enough to not be helpful. :( |

lol Shin Oonuma is the new Shinbo from Shaft. He directs every show for Silver Link now. I know he works for them now and worked with Shinbo in the past with SHAFT. Either way i trust Oonuma at the helm Directing this, He's one the few directors out there that can adapt LN's into anime format pretty well. |

for the Japanese Version 8/10 deducting 1 point for bad CG with the lizard ah that was rough on the eyes 1 point for not showing the name of skills even if only for split second where you have to pause the video to see name of skills would be nice. I'm an RPG not so don't know if anyone else cares about that kinda minute details 4/10 English crunchyroll sub version all i can say is laziness iv'e read the LN and manga and i was upset to say the least when they just bounced over his titles especially 1 in particular. Anime only's will think that he jumped from 1 to 310 by beating 300 level 50 lizards well anyone who plays RPG no what cheat level logic that would be unless they can read Japanese. The actual reason for him levelling up is that the meteor took out some much more powerful enemies that is mentioned in the titles. |

monolith said: Why is everyone giving us half-assed spoilers? If you are going to give us spoilers, we want proper spoilers, please. If he is not dead, what the fuck happened? I'm reluctant to waste my time if this is not half as good as Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, and that Isekai is just half good. So you want full on spoilers of how and why? Aigh't then. Don't say I didn't warn you. And maybe more people want to hear this to? I'll be the one then. First for the back drop, which is somehwhat important for the question. This part will be told in later episodes, in this session. (hopefully) But It won't be the FULL truth then, though. Which will be learned MUCH later. But if you wan't to go all in? Let's a go. The Creator god created all other god's and world's (at least when it came to these fantasy worlds) This world's original single god that found it first/resided there, was the Dragon God AkonKagura. Later 8 more god's, found this world and took a fancy to it. But they didn't want to share it with the Dragon God and so tried to kill and/or run it off. The DG then proceeded to kick their asses from 8 ways from Sunday and fought them to a standstill. (The DG didn't want to expend the effort to outright kill them since it would have been fruitless anyways.) The God's called a truce and the DG accepted. DG didn't care about Piety, power, nor believe (what the other god's really wanted) and told them to just leave it alone. And so the 7 Pillar God's came to be. But the 8th god couldn't take it's loss, but knew it would just loss again if it fought the DG, and so then created Demon's along with their Lord's to raze the world to nothing. (The case of "I'll ruin your world instead!") But the Dragon God didn't care really care about the world. It just wanted to sleep and rest, and so let them all go. But the 7 God's didn't, but they couldn't directly stop them since their power was too great and would cause more damage then good, and one of the god's asked (begged) for the DG's help. But the DG told the god to bugger off but knew that it would keep asking and annoy it to no end, and so granted it a special power. To summon otherworld Japanese people, who is then given part(s) of that god called "fragments" (Of it's Soul, which is then called Unique Skills by the summoned) to then become hero's, gain even more power, and to fight against said Demon's and the Lord's. And be sent back once they are done. That god was Parion. Also it's divulged somewhat soon that if the hero fail's and doesn't kill the demon's/lord's, it falls to the dragon's to stop them as a last resort, since the other dragon's do still care about the world they live in. (No godhood. You know?) Their claws/fang's have the power to pierce everything, even god's. But their power is fully unchecked can be even worse for the world though, (lesser extent of the god's but still pretty bad.) There's more, like what the Demon Lord's really are, but that's neither here nor there for the most part. But's it's a pretty kicking revelation, so meh. Don't want to say it, unless deemed needed. And I have gotten even farther from your main question, anyways. That's the base lore, and now for Satou. The short answer? Satou was summoned by the Dragon God's power and given immeasurable power to [Do whatever he (Satou) wants.] But Satou doesn't know that, nor will he know for a LONG time. If you want the long answer? Strap in, because this is a ride. Satou (that is, as Suzuki Ichirou), no matter how many time's he reincarnates or the world's that he exists in, he ALWAYS indirectly or directly meet's (by chance or through other's.) A lesser Japanese God, (Not an existing one, a made up one for this story.) Ame-no-Mizuhana. And befriends her without knowing of her real identity. Also small digression but: She is also the patron god of Satou's childhood friend, Hikaru. (I think also throughout all world's but the detail's are murky.) Said childhood friend is also pretty important to the plot but won't show up for a LONG time (In some side's character's intermission's, and fully in chapter 12(WN) but remember when Satou said that his junior of the work force disappeared and left him with a workload? That was her, who was also summoned century's before Satou show's up by God Parion, to prepare to kill one of the many demon lord's that is ready to show up. Once done she then is dubbed the "Ancient King Yamato" who then also (with the help of her companion's) founded the entire largest kingdom of this world. (Seryuu City is a Earldom of this kingdom.) But back to the God. She spends countless world's and year's (maybe even aeons) seeing this man she meets and ended up falling in love with, always die due to mortality. And she can't do anything to stop it, for a LONG time. But that changes finally. It's also later divulged in a dream/memory of Satou's, when talking with one of Mizuhana's possessed/invoked body's that she uses to meet him. That no god's truly die, their physical form can be destroyed but they simply go into a deep rest/hibernation where they are powerless as they gain their power back. (Through Piety or simply time.) And then come back good as new. And that, normal mortal humans can never really be granted divinity or even become gods. Except for two way's. Only through the Creator God's power, and also through scarifies, many MANY sacrifices. Due to the fansub's being ass/misleading synopsis for no reason/poor direction at the start. It's not immediately made apparent, but Satou didn't just kill a few hundred lizardmen. He was transported to the Dragon Valley, also home to (If I remember correctly) about 60% to 70% (or more) of the dragon's in the entire world. Along with the Dragon God. The Dragon God AkonKagura IS Ame-no-Mizuhana. She was able to stock up enough power to finally put her plan into motion. Upon the summoning of Satou, DG gave him a total for 4 Unique Skills (One is [Menu] that is broken as fuck as he learns about it, that you see him use. The other two can't be used for a LONG time though. (He later is able to use one of them, later on at the end of Chapter 12 or 13(WN), which is even more broken. And the last being [Immortal], which also isn't working now nor still has yet to. Along with two other non Unique Skill's, All-Map Exploration and Meteor Shower. (Two skill's from the game's that Mizuhana loved to play with Suzuki.) In the anime/manga/LN, one of the lizardmen attacked him so he used the only thing he could use, thus the Meteor Shower. But in the WN he thought it was just a crazy lucid dream he was having due to the Death March he was on. And so just used it without thinking about it. But either way, He unknowingly used one of the world's (hidden) ingrained "system's" that exists to gain a massive number of lvl's due to his usage of Meteor Shower. The more a race/what kind of monster is killed in rapid succession, in a short amount of time, the more "EXP" one can get for it. The lizardmen was killed first due to being the weakest then followed all the different type's/kind's of dragon's (Infant, Lesser, Greater) were killed in ascending order. Finally ending in the Dragon God itself. Which ended with his lvl boosting to impossible (normally) to achieve proportion's. The Dragon God's plan worked. Satou is now incredibly powerful and as time goes on his body and power's will start to strengthen even more. And in time Satou will fully ascend to Godhood, and can then be by her side without her fearing for his inevitable death. Hope I explained it well enough, and I might have explained too much. Tough to do something like this. And if you want to know what happens in the late game and if anything come's of this? The DG has finally revived as the story went on and has meet Satou 3 different times. One to just indirectly meet him, and other two to help him from almost being lead astray by falsehood and assumptions from other's, and when Satou question's her on who she is and what she want's him to do. she tells him that: "Me? I'm your princess. You're my hero. We're two birds who share a body and a pair of wings walking the eternity together--" (Expression that means "a happy married couple") Along with, "Do as you like, my hero. Do anything you like anytime you want." Mizuhana just wants Satou to be happy and enjoy this world and once he finally ascends, they can finally be together for all eternity. Satou doesn't know this though, his memory's have almost all been locked away about her real identity. But will be unlocked "when the time is right/needed." (She doesn't want him to stress out or worry.) And by that point in the story the start of his divinity and power's has already started to coalesce and show themselves through various event's and experiment's he has done. By purpose or by chance. (Satou is trying to not think about it, and is choosing to ignore it.) It's too stressful for him, and he is enjoying the life he is leading now. Or at least this is the general consensus from all information that we have seen and learned of, some part's may or may not even turn out to be true. |

No promotion, no bonus, just more work. Also a developer does not get to decide changes like this in a big company. The non technical idiot managers get to make those decisions. Also bugs do not get fixed this easy in general, especially when you get the over complicated systems many games of those types have especially when they are caused by rookie devs that make some hard to detect mistake. And most will be rookie devs because most seniors run from this kind of job. Also I hate how they make a death march seem like something normal. It is not normal. And sleeping at work just to make deadlines is insane. But then he's now able to use them freely as a skill ? i thought it was a one time perk, how does he have it as a skill now??? He pretty much killed some of the strongest beings in that world including a Dragon God As for him being able to freely use the skill now, idk if you've ever read or heard about any of the better or more interesting Isekai/summoned protagonist series like Arifureta, Slime Tensei, Tate no Yuusha, RE:Monster, etc. but in those series the summoned "heroes" or reborn protagonists usually have a cheat of some sort that makes them super OP. While I wouldn't really consider it a cheat since it's part of the game design that got merged with the world he got transported to, Satou has the ability to learn any skill just by doing pretty much anything that could relate to a corresponding skill. For example he can learn a cooking skill just by roasting something. And it's not just limited to the cooking skill itself. It could also lead to learning skills related to different branches of cooking associated with the action itself like a "roasting" skill or maybe a "barbecue" skill. The list goes on and basically anything goes. Another example could be that he can grab any random spear and just make a single thrust randomly and he could learn a skill like "Spear Stab" or "Thrust" and then just max out the points of the skills that he considers useful up to lvl 10 which is the max, thus increasing the skill's power and effectiveness just like in a game. Anyways back to what I was saying, since Satou basically performed a "Meteor Strike", he ended up learning it even though it was just through a limited use scroll/program since it still counts. The version of the "meteor strike" that he learns is considerably even more powerful since his stats like magic or whatever are actually calculated into the spell when he casts it thus making it a lot more powerful. I don't remember if he actually levels up the skill but that also plays into it if he did. That's why the second time he cast it, the explosion was a lot stronger and affected a much larger range than when he accidentally cast it. I think it went from like 2 KM to 20 KM range. So now he has an even stronger version of the skill that he can use infinitely as much as his MP would allow it which I think allows him to cast it several times before needing to refill MP. And while I somewhat enjoyed the episode, I dislike the fact that a lot of important info got left out (partly due to the subs) and I have a feeling that it would be another rushed adaptation, though hopefully not that rushed since there's a ton of content per volume that could be adapted to several seasons for the show. The animation that they used is a little weird too but I don't really care much about visual. I guess I'll see how the future episodes of the show will be handled before making further judgement. I just hope it doesn't get butchered badly like most other adaptations since I do enjoy the WN a lot. |

I just hope it doesn't get butchered badly like most other adaptations since I do enjoy the WN a lot. It's perfect, but I will just add that learning spell is basically same as learning skill. You can learn spell by invoking it. There are two ways to learn spell. It is by using scroll or by spelling out the invocation words. It this case scroll was used. If I remember correctly persons stats are not applied and MP is not used while using scrolls. So first three uses was using of the scroll and last use was spell on which was aplied MC's stats and 10 skill points in that spell. MC's only cheat is these 4 scrolls and his Menu (more in spoiler, but it is spoler so be carefull). Unique skill Menu, Unit arangement, Unit creation and Immortality (unknown if it is immortality or something similar, we need story to progress a bit more, or explanation from the author) are MC's cheats, but every transported and reincarnated person can have such unique skil, which he is able to choose, and not only one but how much his soul can contain until it breaks Basicaly Death March's world have complex mechanics. |

I have been a loyal fan of the manga since chapter 1! I have to say they did this episode perfect! Stuck with series wonderfully! Art and voice actors are great and sound effects nailed it! I am looking forward to this series making it into a short lost of successful anime! Fingers crossed for many seasons! To the studio producing: please please keep this series on air! |

Not impressed, but I was expecting it not to be. What I was not expecting was for the opener to not care if it sucked or not. It is not that impressive . . . And the MC's voice . . . at least he isn't screaming all his lines. The ED is a lot better. I while I'm not a big fan of Isekai, I do like to see how they differ and the ideas behind them. It is a bit more interesting than some others. Not that I've watched all of them. I'm willing to watch more for now. |

So I don't remember the description for this anime at all, so I knew nothing about this upon watching this first episode, other than the fact that I added it to my list... The fact that it's Silver Link is the only thing I can think of that would have made me watch this. I came in prepared for total garbage and or just as lame as the one with the smartphone. SO I FOUND THIS PRETTY DANG GOOD. Enjoyed it way more than I expected, though I couldn't shake the feeling that I didn't want to enjoy it. |
