| I think that was good, but I might be too wrapped up in reactions of nostalgia to see clearly. I'm somewhat concerned about the way that so little seems to have changed in the intervening period, but maybe I'm worrying about nothing there, there's no inherent reason why things should be realistically messy or anything. Can't really fault the presentation, though seeing aged-up character designs always takes a little getting used to. |

| Not gonna lie, I don't remember like anything from back when this originally aired and I'm pretty sure I never even finished it though I watched it like religiously as a child, so I'm sitting here like "(´･ω･`) ...;; " And then like the whole first episode is like, "Here's how X and Y are doing since the end of the first one" and I'm just like, " (´･ω･`);;;;;;; Who?" I remember some of their names and everything though, I just like don't even know/remember what they did back in the day?? Like...?? I know some kinda sorta, but seeing some of the other characters who even appeared at the same time as others I know, it's like, "W-Who are you?;;;" They didn't even try to remind who they were either. I'm not exactly lost, but I guess the throwback type of first episode for a sequel thing does nothing for me? I'm not nostalgic or anything. I might have to watch the original again or finish it for certain this time, because at this point, I kinda don't care about what's going down because I don't care about the characters and they kinda failed to make anyone who didn't care about the characters start caring about them.;; |
| Nostalgia fag here! CCS was one of the very first anime I ever saw...I NEVER thought I’d see a continuation to this amazing classic. And the first episode was quite the treat! Beautiful animation and art, and Sakura is just as cute as always....IMO one of if not the greatest mahou shoujos of all time. |
| Compared to the prologue, I see that the original order of the events of the TV series of '98 was respected here, with the scene showing Sakura meeting Li at the airport and receiving the teddy bear from the latter, and noting that no scene here of the prologue is recycled, but all the new ones were the contexts. The room of Sakura loses all the soft toys and in their place comes the new TV and the old cabinet where the TV was right, leaves room for a lovely piece of wood and iron, beautiful! Even the school environment has warmer colors, with old-fashioned architecture and better designs than in the past. The narrative is very pleasant with many comic situations, in my opinion pleasant and apt. The BGM are also always impactful and well coordinated to the proposed situations, nice floral backgrounds, I appreciate this visual addition to the scenes. Overall, the plot is a little reminiscent of what happened in the past, with the conversion of Clow's cards to Sakura's, but I appreciate this despite the story. |

| Sakura was one of the first animes I watched back then and I really loved it: Sakura was adorable, some mysteries, great soudntrack, I felt close to Syoran Li and it was funny :) So I'm really happy to see Sakura back after all these years, even if it seems a bit naive I still like to watch it, nostalgia helps a lot :) Things didn't change that much, apart from the fact it's more colored, we basically have the same characters with the same personalities and it's fine that way :) The best way to start the anime year for sure :) |

| Well, I don't think that this episode is beyond excellet, but I began watching old openings after viewing. It's such a nice feeling. And I want to cry, because Sakura is 'friend' of my childhood. (And she is very cute girl^^) P.S.When Sharon was come back, I thought he isn't Shaoran.And I thought bear was strange. |

We evolve differently. It's absolutely truth. I agree with you. I hope that I will always love Cardcaptor Sakura. But if my tastes will change, I will remember how I loved this before. And it will make me happy. :) |

| The return of one of my favorite animes of all times, card captor sakura. The nostalgia kicked me so hard while watching it. Is going to be interesting to see how the story will unfold and the relationship with shaoran is and how is going to end up. Pretty sure the girls at clamp wont disappoint |

| Finally started watching Clear Card Arc. The art direction is much more based on the manga. |
| So, Sakura now has a new staff, and is likely more powerful than before. While I prefer the appearance of the original series, this isn't too bad. The English dub actors are pretty good, and the pronunciation of the Japanese names are pretty good. I'll admit, I kinda prefer the Animax voice actors from the original series, as Shaoran's new voice doesn't seem to suit him very well, but Sakura's voice in this sounds pretty close to the old Animax voice at least. Also, I'm not too big on the new uniforms. No sailor beret hats? That's too bad. |
