The teacher is a bit of an ass isn't he.

Never heard of mourning jewellery before; looked more like an engagement ring to me, but even without that knowledge the mystery was once again fairly obvious that I feel someone else should have figured it out before Sakurako.

Back here after watching the whole series.
And this is the most unforgettable episode out of all of them, to me of course.

The conversation by the riverbank, actually had me tearing up.
The rights and responsibility of one's life from sensei's POV, and the empathy for the ones left behind by a (preventable)death from Kougami's POV, both were extremely relatable.
I have been on both sides of the views, and neither is pleasant.

"Right now, you are trying to shoulder someone else's life.
That might be the right thing to do. But that act requires a lot of resolve.
It will become a thorn that you can't remove, and it will continue to hurt you forever.
The briar will continue to grow, but it will never bloom." - Sensei

The weight of someone else's life, from their death (and possible death), is really very heavy...

There is so much realness in this dialogue that it truly is as per the opening statement said it was: A story dedicated to those trap by the past.

This show is deeper than I thought it would be. lol~

Well, other than this conversation that hits me differently, the overall story of this episode is in fact very weak and uninspiring.

Why would anyone get distracted by a pigeon(?) when you are staring at a person that has a high possibility of committing suicide?
There isn't even any story plot here is there? Even if is for "character development", it shouldn't be done in such a sloppy manner.

Well it was kind of obvious that the girl in black find someone else. It was written on the letter right so it's either Kougami, the tecaher, and the police is just dumb to notice that or they really just want to play detective lol.

And it was sort of absurd how Sakurako knows that the ring is made of bones. It was unheard of that there's a mourning jewelry. And it's kind of weird also that someone will make a jewelry out of your loved one's bones, it felt creepy but never mind.

But I agree with what Sakurako did in the end.

I'm confused, wasn't Yuriko's friend supposed to be with her boyfriend? That messages sounded like she was left alone.

Nice episode, I'm so happy we got to see Isozaki. If not for Sakurako, he would be my favorite character by far. His past is very interesting, judging from the opening, his voice is perfect and I like his personality. He was right this episode. Yuriko was the kid trying to solve everything even if someone might not want to be saved.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!

Yuri is so cute it's ridiculous. And Sakurako being called over the speaker like she was a missing kid was hilarious.
