Best episode so far, and the OST was just icing on the cake. Soma's reaction to taking up the Director's special assignment makes me think he's his son, but I might be overthinking it (though I do wonder what the assignment is).

I have a question for those who have played the game: is there romance in store for us in the future? I'd love to see Lindow and Sakuya become an item.

Now this is the kind of quality I want every week. Not only was this episode cold and terrifying but it was also executed really well (I mean, I haven't played the game, so I can only speak in terms of this being standalone). Pls keep this up ufotable.

That insert song/ost was super chilling and very fitting. What a great episode.

Woah dude, woah such an improvement since the beginning of the series. Literally every aspect in this episode was perfect, this is how the anime is supposed to be. I mean the creepy music at the end, when Lenka and that girl fell off the cliff or sth. The flashback should have been somewhere else but those last twenty seconds though.... hide and seek, come and find me~
Fucking hell, 5/5 for this episode and may the remaining episodes be like this too.

This was a pretty good episode actually.
Pretty nice twist. I was reminded of Monster Hunter there for a minute, fighting tough enemies then all of a sudden a HUGE MOTHER FUCKER YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR SHOWS UP AND FUCKS EVERYTHING.

Also I love watching Lenka get all pumped up to do something bad ass, then just getting OWNED.

Also there's no explicit romance in the game, its hinted at a tiny bit, towards the end of the game that sakuya has feeling for lindow, but its never taken further. But maybe ufotable will expand on that...who knows?

I would really like to see Lenka X Alisa, and lindow X sakuya. It would be pretty interesting to see how these relation wou work out, and it would also make all those fanfics canon, (which is obviously what I am fighting for).

Maybe in Anime and god eater resurrection 2015 or 2016 New Game remake of god eater burst they may change rule put infected power of lenka aragami instead burst mode they maybe change role of game power and anime power.

I also wish the development team behind god eater 2 added an option for English subtitles, they wouldn't have to worry about localization then, because honestly more people were playing god eater burst in Japanese with English subtitles than in just English, because the Japanese voice acting was way better than the English.

I'm super excited for the remake. Thank god it's an actual remake with new game mechanics from god eater 2 that will make the game play easier. I wonder if they are going to include blood arts from god eater 2 in resurrection, as that would be pretty cool. Now you have me all excited, resurrection is going to be so good. I hope they let you import the items you have from a previous save file. Maybe there will even be dlc that will allow you to play through the same scenarios we see happening in the anime, like an alternate arc, where you can meet Lenka.

EDIT:
god eater resurrection is on the PS4 and VITA, this is great.

HOLY SHIT?!! That was so different from what happened in the game. The evolution of the Dyaus Pita was recently introduced in the GE remake too. I hope ufotable are going to take a completely different path with the story. (or maybe in actuality they are adapting the remake ??)

So.
During this episode I thought of few things that might have happen.

Lenka will awaken or evovle his weapon.
The monster kills everyone and Lenka survives because monster get bored of them.

Now 2 with highest possibility I thought might happen.
1. Some marking showed up on Lenka face.. so I figured he is fusing with weapon somehow and might transform and rek everything.
2. The boring option - Lenka gets lucky and some sort of rescue /backup squads or character shows up saves Lenka party

-.- What happens.. they lucky survive by falling somewhere..

that was quite disappointing..

Great episode, once again was shown the bold personality of the protagonist, but he remains weak, and full of doubts, already Alisa continues starting upward without thinking, but this time the two got into big trouble, I'm already looking forward the next episode, I want see how the plot will develop ..

A little bit too pathetic. I remember fighting Dyaus Pita, it's really not that different from Vajra. These cats are annoying when they are in groups, but I never really had a problem when it was a 4v1. I really don't understand why they make it like it is the end of the world. How will anyone ever be capable of fighting Ars Nova if Dyaus Pita gives them such trouble?

And yeah, the animation this episode was absolute garbage. Geez, even the promotional animation video for the game had better graphics than this shit, plus it kept the original game music which captured the atmosphere well.

Note: the video is titled god eater episode 1, but it's actually the promo video for the game. It's this video that became the reason why most players wanted it to become an anime, then they gave us this shit.

Okay, that was one bloody episode. Did not expect that. The ominous atmosphere was actually really good(the insert song at the end was also helping create the atmosphere too), the first time in this anime(yes, I know. Surprising). But then it was all for nothing because the protagonist was still alive, did not get devour by that black Vajra(but devoured other people close to Lenka), & then still managed to help Alisa walk. That's kind of ruining the mood for me.

I found it interesting that the black Vajra thing had a creepy human-like face. It's almost like a person with a beard.

I like anime.

I like the way this episode turned out.

I cannot lie in shounen anime all this year its been "MC's face boss! Boss mildy stomps them! MC uses "THE LOUDER YOU YELL THE STRONGER YOU GET" Boss is hopelessly overpowered!"

But I think this was a pretty fresh way to end the summer with a boss that stomps you, lets you do the yell powerup, and then stomps you even harder.

And to all those people asking how lenka was able to carry alisa away from black vajra after potientally his spine getting spliced, its cuz he was possibly holding her underboob to carry her and that healed him.

This episode was intense, so much better than the other ones. That being said, it still wasn't as good as I think it could be, these moments in anime i tend to be on the edge of my seat and this episode didn't really accomplish that.

I liked it nonetheless, I hope future episodes will be as good as this one and even surpass it, then God Eater might actually turn out to be pretty great.

Nope. The MC in the game is damn OP. One of the early tutorial missionl asks you to hunt some weak, small aragami. The damn varja jump in from out of nowhere and attack you. Usually, your only choice is spread out and concentrate on the mission while avoiding the varja...but I said no, the mission can goes to hell! I attacked and killed the varja after 30 minutes of dodging like a boss. After all, I am a Monster Hunter veteran.

MC and Alisa never became a couple or having strong hint. But Alisa did have some hints with...Kota, of all people. MC becomes friend with Alisa, just friend.
