| Another hyped show that lived up to my expectations and even slightly exceeded them. 10/10 One of the best shounen I've ever seen and I wouldn't even classify this as a shounen honestly. This reminds me a lot of Dorohedoro and that's marketed for seinen. I'm gonna read the manga if the second season doesn't come out fast enough. |
| First I was like: "Oh, it's another overly popular since simple, primitive and most 'for edgy teenagers' anime I ever seen so deserves a nice kick in the face!" but then I looked deeper and now think that this garbage is kinda shitted itself greatly, it's a boredom despite 'action' which is too basic and superficial to care, it's like most episodes gathered together randomly and characters lack of any kind of chemistry, it's obvious that director and author both are lack of basic talent or professionalism since anime director made a bunch of episodes so it's a hardly 'complete anime' - and it has nothing to do with having an ending or not. On other hand the author of manga is some silly (if not insane) human being with lack of basic social contacts so of course he doesn't know anything about people, their psychology and their interactions. Dialogs, characters, their biographies, pretentious 'coolness' and 'badassness' - all of these elements were made in a most pathetic and straightforward way what could be appreciated only by teenagers, infantiles and 'tourists'. Author read some manga series to rip off from them but didn't understand a shit about them obviously since couldn't copy strong points and content but only a form. Fights are just for fights solely and lack of any meaning or at last 'fun' since it's basic 'Ha, my chainsaw is stronger than your blades!' and that's it since teenagers don't need details, MC is some wacko and is no better than any secondary character here, it's like Aki is MC here according to anime representation. People who keep saying like parrots 'Oh my God, I am literally Denji! fr fr!' aren't wrong I guess since they call themselves idiots, how ironic. |
