| The magical girls strike back against the wish-granting alien contractors! The rebellion is on! It's been a while, but I realized these very thin character designs actually remind me more of Higurashi's character designs. The girls there looked like this too, and there was the cutesy, bright element on top of the horrors waiting beneath. Sure, it's understandable and undeniable that Madoka is the first anime that comes to mind, but this reminds me of Higurashi just as much. Character designs aside, this show approaches its horrors with the same heavy-handedness in Higurashi as well, unlike the more gradual descent to darkness in Madoka after a certain turning point... The thing about the victims losing all trace of their existence reminds me more of Shakugan no Shana, though. Not even traces in pictures or writing remains apart from the memories of those involved with "how the world really works". |
| ^ same here... when i 1st saw this scene in the OP:  the 1st thing that comes in my mind is Higurashi.... cute girls in a dark and blood filled atmosphere... im starting to love this series... more blood please! |

| I don't like this Akari girl, even though I understand why she acted that way, but there is no other choice, kuuderes_shadow said: So Akari couldn't bring herself to fight and ran away? But the people who run this thing seem fine with that. And she runs straight into another enemy. The choice: placidly bear witness to all the attacks knowing that you could do something about them, or fight them, knowing that in doing so you are killing people all the time you don't even have a choice, if you're a sane human with feelings. I am glad the whole shit will be resolved in the next episode, no more "What should I do, should I kill to help, or should I not kill even when I could help". |

| I like the OP. Series is pretty interesting so far. Glad we got an explanation for what happened to that girl. I was like "What just happned." Also these episodes have some dark title names. "What kinda powers do you have Luna?" I can't help but laugh. |
| More magic action this episode...which I enjoyed! So it looks like all of the mahou shoujos have sad pasts... :( and auntie forgot about fuyuna. Wow |
