Despite the flaws and answered questions, the action scenes are still great. Even better actually. Nice animation.. too little Misaka screen time though ( sorry, just a big fan of Onee-sama, hehe).

this movie really exceeds my expectation. The plot was meh and rush, but everything else was amazing ( great art-sound, solid action, most of the main cast appear)

Lol, that endymion appeared suddenly out of nowhere
Maybe what Uiharu's said it's true.. The construction is outside the panel xD

Lol I like the way he "sigh" when he saw two girls naked in his room then Fukouda!

That glass shard animation (after explosion) wow!?
Wow Marie? Stiyl, you should call your disciple with Marisa xD

Arisa's dance looks like Love Live concert xD
Lol Kanzaki is the weapon for Kamiyan

Aw, TouMAN never punched a girl again, please :(
Lol Accel just appeared for 1min
So, where's the endymion (at end)? It disappeared?

This is really good movie :)
More! More! J.C staff good job!
But I'm not really fond of with that kind of ending

Not a very satisfying ending, and Ladylee's goal was generic.

I would have liked more Accelerator screentime, and more Misaka epicness (her Railguns weren't epic enough), but those aren't really flaws.

I mention those things above because I loved everything else.

Lol'd at the movie making fun of its own retcon.

This movie was alright, I think it could have really benefited from a better developed conclusion. And it really felt like the Sisters, Accelerator, etc. were completely unnecessary (Accelerator's inclusion actually left me disappointed, because I had a crazy theory about what his contribution would be, which didn't pan out).

THe story is from the author of the novels so it is canon. The events in the movie arent the first ones to never be mentioned in later volumes of the novel.

It is. The author even wrote a prequel novel about Endymion. Though it severely retcons a lot of stuff, the biggest offender being the existence of the tower, it's still canon.

Well the tower was never mentioned before in the novels as in "not being there".Touma probably forgot to mention it lol.
The anime series changed many things so they dont count anyway.

Epic movie. Great to see everyone working together!!!!!

Arisa T____________T

How did Arisa die?? Did she use up all her powers to save everyone?

Did Endymion disappear?

If Ladylee wanted to die, have Touma punch her!!!! XDD

I didn't expect better, but the excessive fanservice in the beginning was pretty off putting. Not to mention that legit ass pull revelation at the end. At least the movie looked good.

You mean how Arisa was part of Shutaura?
Yeah I mean how normal was that Arisa was walking naked among the passengers.Or how she ended up having the memento whatever it was when we saw loli Shutaura had?

You mean the very first miracle about the power of a Saint getting a body?A Saint, also called Child of God, by definition of the series, is someone that due to the Idol Theory has gained a tiny portion of a more powerful being or item. With that they have supernatural senses and abilities.Being "replicas" of the Son of God having the power of "creating miracles" doesnt go against the rules of the series.

See I didn't mind that too much, my biggest gripes were that they wasted a good 5-10 minutes on singing/dancing scenes, another 5-10 minutes on fanservice, and then to cap it off, they didn't explain anything. Stuff just kept happening.

What the fuck were those support-beams or whatever that they were trying to blow up? (I'll tell you what: they were a "oh shit, Accelerator and Misaka's sisters haven't shown up.... we need something for them to do!" device)

How did that one guy know to find Shutauru in that room. He literally just showed up. How did he know where she was? Did the antagonist loli really tell her partner where she was? Why? And why did she tell Shutauru that she killed her dad? Or why not just lock her up in a cell somewhere until the "Miracle" happens? I don't get her motivation in releasing her. Did she even release her?

And then everyone suddenly knows that it's vital that they converge on Endymion even though we never saw them being told, and there was no indication they even knew what was going on. I guess Heaven Canceller could have told them? But when did he do that and what did he tell them? Did he say there was some kind of terrorist attack or something? Did he tell them a magician was going to destroy the world?

Who and what were those robot people/assassins, and why did they just randomly show up? What happened to the dude one? How did Touma's power work on them?

There was the most bare-bones back-story for the villain ever. No time was spent at all developing her, instead it was wasted on all kinds of meaningless stuff.

What did Touma and Index hear at the end? That line didn't make any sense.

Was Endymion destroyed, or what? I don't get what happened.

Kanzaki, did she really just plummet back to Earth? Since when can she fly or survive a Red-Bull jump with no parachute?

Did Shotauru have Saint powers? I thought her esper power was destroying those weird bombs. Does she have both? I thought esper's couldn't use magic? Crowley gave some vague explanation about wishes but it didn't explain anything.

What were the experiments that the antagonist loli was doing with the space plane? She never explained that.

What happened with the immortal loli? Is she in some weird testing facility now? Is she in a hospital? Is she in prison?

Why did the immortal loli need Arisa to hold a concert on Endymion? Was it to activate the spell, but how so? When she sang the duet it beat the spell. It was like the loli literally set everything up so that she would not succeed, putting every single person that could possibly stop her in a position where they could stop her...

Why did Styl attack Touma at the beginning? Why not just walk up and be like: "Arisa is in danger! We have to get her out of here right now!"

And how did he even know that she was in danger in the first place? Was it some kind of prophecy? Did they see her music on-line and say: "That's magic!" But then how would they know that just because she's using magic that she would be targeted? When did they find out any of the things they knew?

Who the fuck was the loli and how did she become immortal? Was it another "wishes" thing?

Why didn't the loli just fly into the sun? Would she survive that too?

That's a lot of unexplained things that really needed at least some explanation. Things just happened, people just did things. The plot just contrived whatever it needed for the next event to occur and the characters just did whatever had to be done for them to do the next thing they had to do.

It was like watching the Phantom Menace all over again.
Let's go bowling.

They were for the purge program to activate.Supposedly it is a controlled self destruction of the elevator.Apparently here it would have close to zero or even zero deaths unlike in other series with the same thing happening.Probably it was fired to space.

The guy that released Shutauru was from her unit.Moments ago they showed him and another one hacking the system. She was in a cell. She just told her why would that matter?

Ladylee made Endymion.Ladylee wants to use Arisa for a spell.Where could she possible be?

One was obviously made of magic since Touma's power semi-worked(his core must be somewhere else like Innocentius)on him and the other is a cyborg seeing how it was destroyed by Stiyl. The dude one must be drifting in space right now unless he needs air.I dont know if magic dolls need it.

She was immortal for too long, suffered a lot because of that and wanted to die.Do we need anything else?

I swear that the audio is broken because honestly I couldnt hear a damn thing.

It was destroyed or released to space.

Kanzaki cant fly.And she has done that before in the LN.There is another Saint that has been flying for years.

Saint powers arent magic.Magic is when mana is used.If Saints were using magic for their abilities they would also be "easy" opponent to Touma.

It failed.Whatever it was it didnt matter anyway.Probably some ritual that needed the death of those 88 people. Her spell on Endymion would also use the death(and excitement before that) of the people inside it.

Aleister has Ladylee, probably inside the Windowless Building.

The spell didnt work because of Index's interference .

Stiyl wasnt aiming to secure her at first.Unlike Touma he isnt so kind as to help everyone he just met.And he never hesitates to attack Touma.Frankly his attacks in season 1 outside his room were far worse.

Tsuchimikado is double/triple and so on spy working for everyone including Necessarius.Thats how they knew.

Ladylee got it from those teeth/rocks that she got from her father(?).

Yes she would survive and then enjoy an beautiful circle of death and rebirth.

Well, that was a letdown. Not because I was expecting something better, but because the first couple of scenes were actually promising. If I had to sum it up in two words: wasted potential. The premise was interesting, the antagonist wasn't just a villain because she was evil or craved more power, but she actually had a legit reason to which she used the wrong ends. A sound opportunity, completely messed up during its execution.

Hell, even some of the fanservice scenes were so poorly drawn that they were off-putting rather than aesthetically pleasing to look at. I did like Shutaura's character to give credit where it's due. 5/10, not a bad movie, but still nothing more than mediocre.

I found it decent enough. Obviously, for time constrictions, it ended up not living up to what it could've been. Like, a blatant lack on character development.

Even then, I found the plot a bit dull. If she wanted to die, and if hurling herself into a volcano or being blasted by a nuclear explosion wouldn't cut it for whatever reason, why not just hurl herself into the Sun? Surely that'd be FAR easier than building a freaking space elevator for the only purpose of making a spell powerful enough to destroy herself.
And I've never been a fun of characters that loathe themselves for being immortal and just want to die.

Add to that I found the ending not only lacking and fulfilling but also strangely depressing. Arisa pretty much ceased to exist for all intent and purposes after melding herself with "her other half"again or whatever.

If anything, the action scenes and the music made it fair enough to watch. And Touma being Touma too, of course.
