I actually think both are quite good, to an even extent. I decided to do a rewatch in dub, i was surprised at how decent it was

though, the "I like you"/Tsuki word play doesnt work in English, cuz Tsuki sounds like I like u in Japanese, also means moon. so thats the only negative to me, for the dub

Im a sub boy, but there is no doubt that people watching dub because its much more memorable in your native language is a VERY VERY strong argument for dub > sub.

In my opinion dub is better. Because I feel more connected with the anime and its characters if I know their languages. Being able to understand what they are speaking instead of staring down at the subs is much more convenient.

Jokes aside
This is a movie with a lot of collocation
Particularly referring mannerism and word selection
If you want to understand it completely for the first time I vote for dub
Sub is way better though but is complicated

Normally I prefer sub for things set in Japan, but given that so much of this film is about communication I feel it works better in the dub (unless you speak Japanese).

The dub also used an actual deaf actress, which the sub didn’t. This really adds a lot an elevates it above the sub imo.

Dub is hit or miss. Some will like it, others not. Personally I like how casual Japanese vas sounds like. I can't stand how over the top English vas are.

Both are great. Depends on your mood. I watched it in dub first bc I was multi tasking and was not in the mood to read a lot and it portrayed it pretty well
