| I saw already seeing so many overused tropes and clichés within the first 5 minutes it's like I just went back 8 years in time. There's a reason they stop making anime of this magic high school genre. Not the mention the animation is also subpar. Episode 1 is already making me lose interest I don't think I can hold on until episode 3. Not to mention the characters also aren't really appealing. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Another new power fantasy is here for the winter season! Once again, we are greeted with an overpowered protagonist that has gone through some traumatic experiences on the battlefield before retiring/changing his lifestyle and now enrolling in school. (Who would have seen that coming..) From the get-go, we are introduced to the classical small-time antagonistic bully character (who quickly gets put in his place at the end of the episode). Then the morally upright, upstanding, beaming with integrity noble girl steps in to stop an ongoing quarrel between them. She is the classical trope for a high-class lady of noble birth with impeccable morals and fairness. We will have to see how this character evolves, but for now, she is not fleshed out much. She is also the one used for most of the exposition dumps in this first episode. Then we also get introduced to the shy and beautiful half-elf student that is sure to grow close and admire our main character Roy in no time. At last, we get introduced to the clumsy, 'in a hurry' blonde pigtails student that fits the bubbly extroverted trope with perfection thus far. (Harem route anyone?..) None of the characters have been built much in this first episode, but we got their general personality and baseline character built, mostly. We get some general hints at his background and traumatic story before starting his new life as a student, and I assume we will get the full picture in due time throughout the first season. The main character Roy seems bland so far, with nothing too much drawing me to him at all. We did not get any clear show of overpowered action in this first episode, except for the small hint of it right at the end with the bully, though it was not impressive or engaging to me. These shows ride or die on the premise of the power-fantasy being fulfilled for viewers, as well as having at least a somewhat engaging story, side characters, or main character. Thus far, none of the elements have been fulfilled, but we have a starting point which we can build from. It is only the first episode, but it is nonetheless a bland start to this new anime. The three-episode rule will be telling with this one. |

| I was so ready to sh*t hard on this and call it basic, generic, mid, maybe even straight up garbage. And while it really isn't anything special at all, idk, I kinda dug it. I mean two dudes strip in front of each other and admire each other's BULK. I really can't ask for anything more. Generic-looking isekai or fantasy or whatever seasonals usually only deserve the one-episode-rule- but this one episode was enough to convince me. I'll be watching this all the way through. |

| I swear the entire episode I was just thinking "This is just Irregular at Magic High School Fantasy version" lmao. Like the MC is literally just Shiba Tatsuya. He acts formally and politely, he is part of the military and goes to a magic school hiding his abilities. Shiba Tatsuya is my favourite male character so I'm all for this. I was worried cause this series looked super generic but I'm gonna enjoy this. |

| I forgot about this series (until I saw the season ended, lol)... gonna rush through it. But from first episode, why does the art style reminds me of RWBY? There aren't that many "depth" to the art and some parts of the art felt kinda off or blocky. ___ ___ ___ It looks interesting, however the plot felt very generic that a lot of older anime have used before. BTW... are the "spells" computer AI? LOL Felt like the AI that's given to OP Isekai MCs at the beginning of their series (aka "gods voice") or Nanoha series' AI helpers, hehehe. And dude's already making friends (harem)... with not only girls... but also guys... But what's weird is... right after he stripped and show off his body to the dude, next morning he was wearing body tights AND THE MUSCLES ARE ALL GONE? Wha? And... "Cleveland" huh... ok... ___ ___ ___ And they sure are going hard on that sex appeal in ED huh... LOL (What is this? HS DxD?) |
