FUCK YOU, I hope Eren WINS or I'll rage.

Thank you, I agree with you and looks like we are only a few.

I absolutely understands Marley's side and I can't say that I wish their death ... But let's be realistic for two seconds, if Eren doesn't do that, Paradis is getting destroyed in 10 years, at most.

Seeing Mikasa turning against Eren pains me a lot but I guess wait and see.

Also, for once, I liked Jean :D

That episode was very "claustrophobic". The lack of far off shots and being in everyones face all the time was very unnerving, I was shaking all the way through. Amazing episode

I thought the directing was fabulous for such a dialogue heavy episode. At some points they did transition to different shots too quickly, especially with the tree branches, but overall it was great. You could really feel the tension despite it mostly consisting of still images. Definitely one of my favorite episodes in the series.

They were clearly trying to save budget for future action scenes which is fine by me.

I cried.. Before I knew it, my tears were welling as I watched Jean beat Reiner up and then Gabi taking a kick to protect Reiner. The parallelism this episode had with Declaration of War is not something I was expecting. The OST played when Jean attacked Reiner is the same one that was used with Reiner and Eren in the basement and Willy giving his speech in the background, Gabi's words are the same words Willy used to declare war, Reiner's opinion of himself and his guilt are still the same.. I'm in awe.

I liked the entire episode, from Jean thinking about a peaceful life with Mikasa (it's obviously implied), to Annie challenging Mikasa, to Yelena rubbing it in the face of every single person, etc.. Yelena.. Who would've thought she was a Marleyan.. It doesn't seem like she cared about the world, she only cared about Marley. She's as despicable as Floch, both truly evil characters.

Once again, we're reminded how cruel war is. It doesn't matter who you support and which side you're on, there will be always victims, innocents who have to pay the price. Everyone sitting around in that circle committed a war crime, but the acknowledge that. Really loved how Yelena mocked the goal everyone seems to adopt to justify their actions, "saving the world". If you think about it, that's the same idea that started the war and led them to where they are now.

A new episode has been added to the list of my AoT favorites.

It looks like we're in for some action tomorrow. As sad and fucked up it may sound, it brings back the old days to see everyone in their ODM gear again and on the same line.

Loved the cinematography during this episode. The panning shots during the campfire were great.

One of my fave episodes, loved the parallel between Marco asking to talk and the realisation that the lack of talking between both sides is the whole root of the problem. If you never sit down and talk to someone, you can never hope to understand them.

Ngl it felt like I was sitting there in the circle with them the truth about Marco’s death was properly revealed that was intense and it was cool when they put all the survey core members that died in the background while Hange was talking

After the horribly written episode last week, my worries were luckily adressed in this episode. The campfire scene was wholesome, people finally coming to understand each others feelings and setting aside their difference in a non-cringy "hahaha she's eating a cake way"

It's not future wife per se, it's just him daydreaming about being married and having kids, specifically married to Mikasa. The girl he was dreaming about is Mikasa, he sees himself married to her.

I love Yelena's little speech. Everyone needed a reminder of what they've done in the past.

Reiner deserved those hits, but hmm so interesting how Annie gets off scotch free.

Storyboard was actually not that bad if compared to an average OP episode xD

Jokes aside, surprisingly this episode turned out to be one of my S4 highlights. I'm gonna repeat what I said a few episodes ago. There's something beautifully humane about former enemies sitting together at the campfire, coming to terms with the past and the current situation when humanities darkest hour is upon them. Great vibes, emotional momemts and some funny lines.

Floch had to kill the mood ๐Ÿ’€

I miss Marco.

Nerds really do be watching this raw and complaining about the production, when the source material and episode is literally more dialogue heavy. If u don't know Japanese or the dialogue already then ur complaints are childish af ๐Ÿคก

damn the episode direction is hated on here i thought it was very good, its definitely artistic choice and pushing the limits of limited animation that is anime since ye its crunch time now in the production side of things anyway
I guess it depends on the person. I personally thought the stills helped buildup the tension, the same as in Declaration of War. I think any kind of motion would've distracted the viewer from focusing on the dialogue. I thought they did a great job setting the tone for the episode, the scripting was also good.

I also see people complain about how both friends became friends overnight which I think is completely missing the point here.

Jean, was the hero of this episode.
He expressed our opinion on this incomprehensible alliance, and he defended Eren's decisions despite everything.

Jean, is one of my three favorite characters in Attack on Titan.

If someone would've told me in s1 that Jean would become the voice of reason and sense, I never would've believed it.

And, hey, here's a question, how do you kill a guy that's already had his head blown off and lived?

Overhyped season.
Overhyped score.
The last past episodes were so fucking boring.
Can't wait for this to be over forever.
Zeke's plan was the best, but still I hope the genocide will take place. (honestly, we know the boys will try to stop it cuz it's so wrong!1!!).

pretty solid episode.
As expected, after all that has happened between all the factions of course there would be arguing and conflict.
Reiner receiving a rough Beating with Jean demolishing his face was a lesser evil of all the things that could have happened in this Tense situation, like it was seen with Mikasa having drawn her Swords already earlier.
just because I’ve gotten weaker, doesn’t mean that you got stronger, does it?

Very disappointing episode. The fact that it was dialogue-heavy episode meant to be carried by voice acting and music doesn't justify how poorly it was directed.

I get that probably this episode has fallen victim to crunch, but with a minimal additional effort it could've looked way better. Re-using old frames or scenes could surely give more depth to that scene with everyone talking by the campfire. Way more depth than just showing a lot of different frames with purple trees.

Facial expressions were gone for the most of episode's length. Instead we received something that was more like script read than actual animated show.

Unpopular opinion this season of AOT at least part 2. Is T R A S H !!! Like wtf 4 weeks straight of boredom and story time like wtf. They could’ve been quicker than 4 episodes of talking wow. Best part of the entire season was when Aaron got shot and took over the power. The rest seems like fillers and oh yeah let’s make the story make sense. Smh disappointed af so far-
