| disappointed, was really hyped since seeing the op for the first time, but they just messed up this episode's pacing. it was more fast-paced than needed It was a 25min episode ...with no op and ed overlapping with other events... the entire thing just tries to fit in as much content as possible. One of the best things about re zero is how fleshed out it is, but this episode forgot that. Everything that i think deserved more time, was just done so fast. ReZero is not the most unpredicatable show, so its appeal lies in its world building and writing, messing that up, especially after probably the best op visuals throughout the year foreshadowing so many things and hyping you up, is just a disappointment. not lost all hope since the events that happened were extremely intriguiging and the only problem i had with this episode could only be a 1 episode thing. |

I came here to comment on the pacing but you said it better than I could have. This season is still very good, but what we've seen thus far isn't as good as season 1. Yeah, happy to see other people felt the same problem as i did. rezero's main appeal is its world and writing, not pacing it well will break the immersion, which they can't afford in a show like this. The Events are intriguing on so many levels, Echidna is looking like an interesting character, but they need to correct the speed. The horrendous pacing made the ep3 cliffhanger feel no as interesting as it could have been. |

| So the famous witch finally makes her appearance. For a witch with such a fearsome rep her personality sure was quite unexpected being both funny and playful. Subaru shutting her off though sure was fun as her disbelief that this was happening to her as well. Its nice to see Ram again after so long. To think that the Mathers family and Echidna had such a close relationship with each other. So rather than a sanctuary this place is rather a prison huh. Emilia's speech sure was impressive and showed well just how much meeting others and forging bonds with them had helped make her grow as a person. Quite curious to see the kind of trial Emilia and Subaru will face. Overall a solid ep that combined excellent plot advancement with slight comedy via Echidna and tension in the form of the trial that must be overcome to free their friends from the prison that defeated even Roswaal. |

Btw i think its ok since nothing very significant came from that first encounter with Echidna, and if they rushed it in order to alocated more screentime to the first meeting with Rosswall, they did it right. Plus... Auto-censorship? Just like they did with Petra (turning her charm more childish), maybe the producers didn't like the possible sexual innuendo of "body fluids". |

What do you mean? She wasn't even accepted by the sanctuary in the first place for she to be able to do something in the first place. That light was just a misunderstanding from Subaru being close but when the Sanctuary detected the "intruder" he automatically shut and "bonked" her lol. I wonder how she wasn't hurt yet but we will have to see soon what was that thing about...now we can only just guess what really happened |

But the content of the Tea was Echidnas fluids and the only Witch Factor she had in her lifetime was the Greed Factor. So its impossible to give him anything else other than remnants of her own Factor from her fluids. |

It’s another instance of differences in adaptation. Last episode for example, the manga portrayed Subaru to be way more sad and serious in the carriage with rem. The anime was way more light hearted. Some scenes are serious in the manga but funny in the anime. Some are funny in the manga but serious? in the anime instead. |

| Am I the only one who noticed the lack of an OP in this episode? Maybe it's just on my end but I thought they'd start using it after they introduced it in episode 2. |
