This episode felt way better, maybe because Hitomi showed more emotion and life force this time around. I wonder if Magic killed Hitomi's parents or something like that.

The ED is great, it really helps to reinforce the title's vibe.

After watching this episode, I understand that this is an anime that must be savored calmly, it is useless to give it a hurry, the frenzy of discovering everything and immediately it is better to leave it outside during its vision. Enchanting drawings and magnificent backgrounds: the sky sprayed with clouds in the end was magical, ah! I was afraid that it would be too dramatic and grim after watching the first episode, but I changed my mind after watching this other episode.

the CGI is good and unnoticeable for now at least.

I have a feeling that this show is gonna make me cry at some point because of all the time travel stuff that can lead to a potential tragedy.

and personally any time travel and immortal x mortal love/friendship story scares me because of death that the characters will inevitably face and even tho I enjoy watching shows that have these kind of themes I still can't help but feel an ominous feeling at the back of my mind telling me that a bad thing will eventually happen

I can feel Love triangle incoming! Other than that, this was another OK episode. Some shot was amazing and wallpaper-tier.

This episode was good, the animation is surreal i think this is the most beautiful anime this season and pretty much everything has been good to great so far.
Hitomi is cute and her teasing with the artist is great and charming.

it's still confusing to me how can you combine such beautiful visuals of backgrounds with such weak and generic character designs and quality...

like, first they show you this amazingly realistic static picture

and then the next frame they hit you with the most generic looking face with almost no shading

Not every single moment will be at the level of the first image,it's just impossible but the art style has been great so far so i won't complain.

Finally, Hitomi smiled.

I got a feeing that Yuito will turn out to be Hitomi's grandfather. I'm probably wrong though.
That would be bizarre.

I'm smelling a love triangle coming soon based on that last scene... and I don't want that to happen!!

It was an OK episode, Aoi has been really boring so far, not to mention that he also is a bit antipathetic towards... well, everyone. At least those last words of him with Hitomi might change my mind a bit about him.

And regarding Hitomi's character. she doesn't seem that interesting either. However, it's true that I'm a bit curious about why she hates magic... my guess is that she lost her capacity to see colours due to an accident with magic or so.

P.S.: Both OP and ED are beautiful in both visuals and music.

Just watched the first two episodes. They were pretty good. The art and animation is good. I usually like stories like this. Where the real world has some sort of different aspect to make it different. In this case it is magic. I am slightly worried though. Magic just seems to be there, but I am hoping they build on it more than just the world has magic.

I liked the aspect of seeing Hitomi having struggles with the older technology. Kinda reminds me of Noblesse mc trying to adjust to new technology haha. I hope they continue to add little gags like tapping on a window, or sliding the desk.

There seems to be a lot going on though. Hitomi is an antisocial kid, who dislikes using her magic, and has colorblindness. Who gets sent 60 years in to the past by her grandma to change up things. There is also hints of future romance, and I'm really, really hoping we can avoid heavy teen drama and love triangles.

Really impressive and quite sad actually to know that she sees the world only in monochrome... finding something more to it in the past with the magic of her grandmother she might actually experience the world more colourful! I do think this will be something really great in terms of character development, so looking forwards to see what's next!

So she really does only see in monochrome. Interesting premise, though it's a bit weird when it's done by P.A. Works, who are especially known for their amazing art styles.
I can already predict that this is gonna have a love triangle or two, which I'm not happy about, but let's see what they do with it.

I like the atmosphere and visuals of this anime. This episode was even better than the last time.

Sure, we have shy character without any real appeal so far right there but for me it kinda works.

Really, why she was sent back.. To get closer to others, to get to like magic, to solve color situation?.. Who knows.. ... Maybe grandmother just decided, that Hitomi needed a change?..
Yeah, when you hate something, but it might make other people happy.. ...

This anime is aesthetically pleasing. Kinda reminds me of Hyouka. Both of the anime seem so magical.

Hitomi's grandmother, I mean Kohaku, Kohaku when she was young, often caused trouble at her school

Hitomi follows Aoi as he heads out the next day, finally stopping at a park where he begins drawing. To her surprise, she can see the colors in his art, which seemingly comes to life and she unexpectedly reveals herself to him. Aoi questions her about the video and she fumbles around to explain that magic caused it, making herself out to be a mage, and requests to hear more about the drawing but he leaves. Returning to the magic shop, Kohaku's family decides to enroll Hitomi in school, wishing to let her continue to live a life despite having travelled from the future, and before she knows it she's in Minamigaoka and reunited with the members of the Photography & Art Club, including Aoi, with Asagi and Kohaku, who is scheduled to return soon, in the same class as her. In the middle of the hallway, Aoi requests that Hitomi show some magic to quell the rumours that she is his girlfriend. Although she produces a sparkle of stars from her hands, Hitomi is reminded of her hatred for magic. Despite the poor quality of her magic, Aoi wishes to see it one more time in the future, and in return lets her look at his drawing again. Glad that her magic could make someone happy, Yamabuki witnesses her practising magic late at night on school grounds, creating a shower of stars.

Beautiful visuals aside, how the plot and characters are exposed is charming and natural as well. Before starting this episode - I hoped for another colorful trip, but seeing color’s dance in Hitomi’s eyes was just as heartwarming and brings up another side of her experience.

About the time traveling. I’m pretty sure Grandma already has a plan to get her granddaughter back - probably because traveling forward in time is simple than going back. This might be a plot point as well - maybe she has to sacrifice something in order to get back?

I can already sense the sad ending, but I'm not sure, also looking at that last scene this could be a love triangle drama
