| The Deathwatch's fort/base lies underground, connected to the sewer system. | Chi and Ash walked into the base. Chi was sleeping in his arms. |
| Ash looked at Chi sleeping and sighed. 'What a troublesome girl.' He thought. Still, he was glad he had been able to help her. |
| Chi mumbled something in her sleep and turned around in his arms. She opened one eye and yawned. "Wow that was quick we're already back." She said smiling a bit. |
| "Yes well I think you need to get some proper rest in a bed. Where is your room?" |
| "I don't remember.. I haven't slept her in a while. I usually sleep outside of the base and actually come in to get supplies. I don't know if Masaru-sama asigned me a room.."Chi said jumping out of Ash's arms. |
| "We'll why don't you come rest in mine for a while. It would be better so that I can monitor you and make sure you haven't lost too much blood." |
| "Mm not a baby Ash." Chi said rubbing her eyes. |
| "But I don't think you know how to treat anemia do you? We still don't know whether or not it's infected either." |
| "What's anemia?" Chi asked sitting down. |
| "It's when your body has lost a lot of blood and the blood you do have is very thin and can't carry enough oxygen throughout your body. You could pass out and it might be very dangerous." |
| "Oh ok. Where's your room?" Chi asked yawning. |
| "Down the east wing." Ash replied. "Follow me." |
| Chi got up sleeply and followed Ash down the hall. "Are we asigned by rank?" She asked. |
| "I don't really know how it works." Ash replied as they entered his room. Inside the room was small, but there was a twin mattress on the floor in the corner and one the other side, a small desk. "You can sleep here for as long as you need to." |
| "Thanks." Chi mumbled falling on the mattress asleep. |
| Ash sits down at the desk and pulls up his sleeve; there's a long bandage across his arm soaked through with blood. He looked back at Chi to make sure she was asleep and then unwound the bandages to reveal three long bleeding scratches on his arm. "Great." He said. "They're still bleeding. |
| Chi turned in her sleep. She opened her eyes. "What the he'll did you do!?" Chi said getting up and going over to Ash. "This much blood can kill you! Baka!" Chi yelled slapping his cheek. |
| Ash quickly blocked and grabbed her wrist. "You need to calm down." He said. "I did it on the way out, before I met up with you and Masaru. Look, I've already stitched them up but they're still bleeding a little. I probably tore them open giving you a piggie back. It's not as serious as it looks and I don't have the medical supplies to spare in order to redo it all right? I can look after myself." |

| "You could have not stitched me up and used it for yourself!!" Chi yelled hysterically. "You could have said that you shouldn't be carrin me! O my god! I'm the one who did this!" Chi cried out. |
| "Yeah like I'd choose myself over a fifteen year old girl." Ash said. "I made the choice not to tell you so it isn't your fault." |

| "Why did you use it on me!" Chi said frustrated. "You didn't even know me that well and yet you saved me. Why?" |
| "Because you are you are younger than me and I stand more of a chance of shaking this off than you do." Ash said. "Listen, I decided to help you all right? If I could go back and do it again knowing you'd get mad at me, I wouldn't have changed anything." |
| "It's still not a reason to save me. It's a kill or be killed world. You shouldn't have saved me. If you get an infection then Masaru-sama will have to get a new rank 1. You're important. Not me. Rank four can always get replaced." She said sadly. |
| "Don't be stupid. Everyone's lives are important. Besides, I'm not going to die. It's not infected. I'll just have to wait until it stops bleeding. No big deal." He started wrapping clean bandages around his arm. |
| Chi started to help wrap his wrists. "What did you do to them?" She asked. |
| "I was hauling ass away from a few of those biters. I caught my arm on a coil of fencing..." Ash trailed off, embarrassed. "It was so stupid. I should have been watching where I was going." |
| "Everyone makes mistakes. No body is perfect. Well if the scientists create a super-human. They probably will be perfect. But that's not the point!" Chi huffed out. |
| Ash laughed. "You're a cute kid, you know that?" |
| "Eh??" Chi said confused. "No one's really said that to me." She said blushing slightly. |
| "Ah, well now someone has. Now go sleep, I'll be fine." |
| "If you say so." She said going over to the bed abd fell asleep. |
| Ash sighed. 'Well now that that's over,' Ash thought, 'Im going to get some sleep.' He pulled out two small blankets and put one over Chi as she lay down on the mattress and then lay down on the ground beside her. |
| Chi shifted and snuggled closer to Ash's warmth. |
| (Daw cute ^w^ but you realize Ash is like 27 right?) Ash was surprised, but didn't move away. |
| (Of course. She's just cold.) Chi shrugged and mumbled something. |
| (Okay just checking XD) Ash stoked her hair to calm her down[in a brotherly way of course]. |
| Chi woke up and rubbed her eyes. She saw that Ash's arm was around her and she shot up out of bed. |
| "Whoa calm down." Ash said. "You were talking in your sleep." |
| "Oh sorry..." She said looking down. "Do you know what I said?" |
| "I didn't catch it." |
| Chi sighed. "Ok. Never mind....." |
| Ash raised an eyebrow. "If you say so." |
| "What?" She asked looking up at him. |
| "Nothing, nothing. It's none of my business." He turned over and pulled his blanket over himself. |
| She huffed and crossed her arms. "I'm goin to the town if you need me." Chi said getting up. |
| "Be careful." Said Ash. " I don't have enough stuff to keep stitching you back together." He added jokingly. |
| "I promise I won't hurt myself nii-sama!" Chi said rushing out the door. |
| Ash sighed. 'Cute.' He thought. |
