This was a beautiful episode. This episode made me like Alicia so much more. I just loved the whole snowball concept. I couldnt help but smile through the whole episode, and at the same time, I think i was about to cry cause it was near the end. Aria the Natural was a spectacular ride, and i am looking forward to Arietta.

A little twist for the OP... still the same song, Euforia, but with piano. Nicely done for a calm, white, snow covered day.

Funny moments...
Akari's usual face after being told by Aika not to say embarrassing things, but no "Eh?".
Alice calling out Aika for being a crybaby!
Aika pointing at Akari declaring no copycats allowed... hysterical!

The snowball emphasizes even more... what happens on the planet - Aqua - the town - Neo-Venezia, where everyone is kind and always lending a helping hand. You build relationships with those people and share with each other smiles and laughter. The town has so much to give and everyone gives back. There's graciousness for everything about life on Aqua.

It was nice to hear the OP/ED for the first series... Undine and Rainbow, respectively. It makes me want to re-watch the entirety of both series... 39+ episodes.

Also, the faces on Aika, Alice, and Akari...
Aika being told by Akira that she has to pay her back double WHEN she becomes a Prima
Alice agreeing to go on a picnic at a wonderful spot with Athena (and everyone else)
Akari hearing from Alicia that her childhood dream of becoming a fairy will come true
... that look in their eyes brings this really good feeling.

I think Athena's referring to the picnic at that beach in the first series - the one she missed because she got lost.

As for Ai... when she said she wanted to be in Neo-Venzia when she get older... YES! I would love to see her experiences as an Undine trainee... it seems to point in that direction with her.

Alicia is something else... her serenity adds a different element to this series, while Akira birngs tough love and Athena, a caring, sisterly type attitude.

Well enough of my rants about the last two episodes. I just love this series so much and I can't believe it's over... (for now or for good?) This is it... and I have immensely enjoyed this series. ARIA has been one of my favorites!

Oh, Aria anime, how I'm going to miss you.

I can't say much...because I would be ranting on and on about how much I love the anime and manga as a whole...but let me say this in short:

It's a heartwarming series, the seiyuu are excellent, the music is perfectly fitting and...oh, this should go without saying, but this one will stay in my top 10 favorites for all times. *nods*

Now, to my Akatsuki cosplay! \^^/

Excellent summing up there Mild_even! ^__^

Just finished this series and I'm going to miss it too but at least there's the third season.

btw, when Athena was talking about a picnic I thought she was referring to the test to become a single since it is supposed to be a secret.

Gah~ This episode was wonderful :)
Aria never ceases to amaze! Through the simplest of actions - many powerful opinions and ideas are situated forth. The way this anime presented nature was brilliant~ I especially loved how in the end they re-visited all the places from each episode and how every person was shown again ^_^

This show has a mixture of emotions sprinkled to entice its viewers. Surprisingly, the last two episodes are very touching. I am impressed that this show never fails to deliver.

Even if the genre itself is not fitting to other people, I would advise all viewers to watch this series. It's not all about action packed scenes or masterfully twisted plot and story telling. It's all about the mixture of emotions engraved on each episode. The genre itself is not appealing to some other people. However, don't judge the book by its cover. This show encompasses the beauty of animation.

This series deserves a perfect 10. It exceeded my expectations even if I finished this show within 2 months. I have to say that I started out very slow because I was not interested. However, I realized the beauty of this series when the show was about to end.

I am looking forward on covering the third season of this series.

I loved it so much. This whole series just makes me have a feel good emotion running through me for each episode. If someone were to ask me to do any kind of favor for them while I was watching Aria, I'd probably say "Ara, ara" and comply. XD

Well, I'm off to see the OVA, and then the third season.

Oh yes, I think that picnic was Athena's suggestion to Alice becoming a single! It's supposed to be a secret test, after all. :3

THIS IS THE MOST PEACEFUL SERIES EVA!!

I really enjoyed this season much more than its predecessor mainly because I felt like I really knew the characters. This anime is such a relaxing break from serious and intense shows that I usually watch. Definitely in my top slice-of-life animes of all time!

9/10

BTW, I'm extremely looking forward to Aria the Origination as I've heard nothing but good things about that season.

man, this ending is so beautiful.. even if 25 looked more ending-like.. but i guess the purpose of Natural is to showcase the entirety of Neo-Venezia.. and the message in the end fitted it.. i also thank the producers for bringing back Undine and Rainbow, and also for the piano Euphoria..

but unlike many of you, i like the Animation more than Natural as a whole.. probably because i did not like some of the episodes of Natural as much as most of it (*thinks of cait sith stuff and the gender bender) .. but this is still a very amazing continuation to the series.. i'm loving all of Aria so far and will be proceeding to Arietta and Origination very soon..

This is those rare gold gems of anime that shows up ever so often. The idea of Aria is priceless and original. I agree, the main reason for loving this series is that you felt welcomed. Akira's narrating it breaks down the barrier between watcher and the characters. It would be nice to see something like this show up in the next 3-4 years.

Now on to Aria the Oringination....

ASDASDAS RAGE IT'S OVER FUCKKK WHERE WILL I GET MY DAILY DOSE OF KINDNESS AND PEACE MAN. T'was a very lovely episode. It kind of focused on Alicia, which is a good thing because she didn't get an episode before if I recall correctly.

Few things I loved in this episode were:
1. Alicia. She's just pure epic motherfucking win. She and her "Ara ara~" were just epic ownage win. I was wondering at first why she didn't answer Akari's question about what she wanted when she was a child. I guess she just wanted to make snowballs. :D
2. The people that helped them roll the snowball and later on constructed a big ass snowman. That was so sweet. Random people that just help you. I wish that's also possible in man home.
3. The places they once visited before. It's good to see those places because you recall the memories of the past episodes that you've seen.
4. Akari, Alicia, and Aika. Nuff said.

Okay so I think in the ending, Akira, Alicia, and Athena gave the viewers a hint that the juniors are all going to become a prima. OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT SON. I NEED TO SEE ORIGINATION NOW. For this season, I'm giving it a 9/10. It was very good indeed. So peaceful, relaxing, calm, and lovely.

I have probably watched one of the warmest of anime episodes in a while, at the same time, probably the nicest of finale for an anime season. If I didn't know I will have ORIGINATION to look forward to, I might have shed a drop or two of my tears. :')

This episode made me love Alicia-san even more. The whole snow ball thingy made me smile throughout the whole episode, despite it being such an ordinary thing to do. But to tell Akari that she wanted to encounter people who will remember her meeting when they look back to the time they met, and to think that encounter was worthy of warmth and affection, made me understand how wonderful it might be, just to be like that and to find those feelings. :')

It was also nice to see the glimpses of all the main and supporting roles showing up in the ending theme, as life moved on, and Neo-Venezia putting on a coat of snow, yet the warmth oh human hearts carried on as Aqua remained a place where memories will be made and affections will bloom.

"hazukashii serifu kinshi!" I am sure Aika would say those words if she saw this comment, and Alice would simply add "dekkai hazukashii serifu ne" and Akari will show her disbelief yet again, saying "ehh~".

If it wasn't for me to look forward to ORIGINATION, this one would have been easily in my top 5. I will be waiting for ORIGINATION, and if that turns out to be really as good as this one, or like many say, even better, will become my all time favourite anime (yes, over the likes of FMA:B, TTGL, Gintama, Clannad AS and Kanon 2006).

10/10. An Anime Masterpiece.

9/10, same here. But i didn't agree with you, that you gave the first season only a 7 - what the fuck, man? Second season was better than the first, but first isn't worser in any point, only if it's short and many things weren't told about there, but that's not a reason to lower the score on 2 points!
-Edit- you even scored this, second season on 8 in your list, dafuq?

Wow. Ultra solid ending, from the acoustic opening to the badass snowman. During this season we got to know the cast more deeply: bits of Alice and Athena, lots of Aika, a dash of Akira, and a fair touch of Alicia. And let us not forget Akari of course. For this, I'm glad.

You'll be a fairy soon Momiko!

Overall Natural was better than Animation, more stable, but the good episodes were slightly less intense, probably because they approached the themes a tad differently. Still, loads of good fluffy emotions (the shadows, the palina, the hair...). :)

An anime simple yet so perfect. Perhaps one of the most blissful things I ever came upon. If medicine was condensed into a form of an anime then you would get Aria. This show honestly deserves more praise and discussion but it's difficult to finish something like Aria unless you have an acquired taste for it.

- I don't think we'll ever come upon any anime like Aria perhaps in many decades. I don't think I ever seen a series that would be able to soothe someone's soul from any thing I ever seen in my whole 20 years of existence. Aria is a genre of it's own and adds to the episodic nature of rare series like Mushishi and Book of Friends.

- Aside from that I would've gave this a 10/10 but I have Aria the Origination which I'm most likely saving it for. The first season wasn't as bad either but the second season's stories were much more deeper and enjoyable.

- The pacing of it was utterly slow but it was truly fitting for a slice of life like this one. Perhaps hand's down the best slice of life anime I've seen with maybe Origination to top it down who knows.

- Well it's onto Origination. I'm so hyped and I really don't want it to end. I really don't know what to watch when I'm laying in bed late at night anymore. I don't think I'll ever feel so much at peace when watching a series. I really hope this gets a rework from a modern studio but I doubt that it'll happen. I'll probably re-watch this and archive this.

I'm glad we got to see more of Alicia-san's playful side, usually she is a very reserved and passive character, watching over from the background. The first season's OP/ED was a nice touch, I missed you rainbow. 5/5.

Certainly a very good season, even better than the previous one. It actually made me like Aria-shachou, and for some reason he really irritated me in the first season. Got all the relaxation that I hoped for, and now I'm looking forward to what the third season has in store for me. 9/10.

I was expecting Alicia to say when she was young, she wanted to grow up to be a person who brought others together.
Your mean should be an even bell curve only if you watch every show that comes out. Having a high-slung mean doesn't mean you're rating improperly. It can also mean you're selecting shows well to watch mostly things you enjoy.

I really enjoyed this episode, the building of the snowman pretty much summed up Neo Venezia - a place filled with warm and happy people. Seeing everyone that Akari the gang had met was nice, I like how both Akira and Alicia pretty much foreshadowed the idea of Aika and Akari becoming primas one day. Alicia's choice of words was especially moving, certainly almost jerked a tear or two out of my eyes.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I'm not sure why but I never liked President Aria in season 1. He grew on me this season though and now I just crack up when he does something crazy. I also really enjoyed Natural more than season 1. It's not that I disliked season 1, but I could barely stomach one episode per day due to the nature of the slow pacing. With Natural I was able to watch 3-5 episodes per day easily once I reached midway. It just felt "natural" so to speak (ba-dum-tsh!).

With double the episodes it was also possible to go more in depth on certain characters, their relationships, and the background of Neo Venezia. There's so much to take away and learn from this series, and it's truly going to be an unforgettable one. Overall I give this a 9/10, something tells me Origination might be my next 10, but time will tell.

Edit: On another note, these episode discussions are filled with embarrassing remarks. Aika would be going crazy!

Normally sequels are horrible to me, i can't stand them because they seem so different from the prequel, but this little gem shone just as brightly as the first did, and made me cry so much. Aria the Natural: BEAUTIFUL

I enjoyed every episode, and how each character grew as the episodes passed. Relaxing show that will forever have a special place in my heart.

5/5 episode and a 10/10 for the series.

Onto the episode.

LOL at Alicia evading the question at first. Although she answered the question at the end when she asked Akari what she wanted to be. Akari responded with being a fairy to bring happiness wherever she goes. Alica didn't say exactly what she wanted to be but we can all agree Alicia's adult dream as a child was to bring happiness to people. "I'm sure you'll be a fairy too". Alicia is pretty much living her dream based on that line she says.

If only making a snowball was that easy lol
