This episode is a mess, both in the direction and in the script, man what the hell this director do?
We had about 3 minutes of flashbacks of things that have happened during the entire 10 episodes showing all the team's performance... 3 miserable minutes for something we already understand. I think only 18-30 seconds of staged flashbacks is enough, but the anime insists on lengthening everything, with 2 minutes and 40 seconds left he could at least try to finish some already established plot, but did not make good use of anything. I noticed that the art of this episode was too inconsistent, there were frames that the characters were even mouthless, JESUS this is not done in a production of only 12 episodes ... All art is dead, the fact that they play that weak insert song in all sorts of situations makes me want to puke, does anime just have to ost in conjunction with that piano? I feel no harmony with anything here, nothing clashes with what is done (and it's funny that this insert song is literally the opening song)
Now tell me, what the hell did those 3 minutes of flashbacks do other than show a crowd at Maki's game? For absolutely nothing.
All the dramas in this anime are completely understandable but developed in an artificial and forced way, do you want proof of what I say? Try to see Nao's mother acting like a Sword Art Online villain, it was so pathetic that I didn't take this progress in drama seriously, because this anime instead of further antagonizing family figures doesn't show a second perspective or a really sad father shaken by the situation? In 11 episodes, not even the most important aspect between problem perspectives worked, and when it comes to everyday problems it's always good to see a more human side of the situation, even if we don't agree with the actions, at least one perspective is there to support it. every basis and idea of discussing a daily problem as a theme, but this anime once again does none of that.
If the anime had worked the Touma psychological more during the pre-game or the game, I would have accepted that flashback would come out, as it would show psychological pressure, and that would be acceptable, but the anime forcibly put it as a fake sub-conflict in order to have a Touma block and develop the situation, it is OK to develop this, the problem is the introduction of this narrative element now.
In this episode they focused more on another drama, about the adopted boy and again, this anime added one more problem to be solved amid the second to last episode of this show... Increasingly messy, I doubt the next episode will solve at least half of the open dramas. Otherwise we had that completely expository flashback on how to take advantage of that twins duo, and why do it at the end of the episode when you have a bigger focus on another character drama? Does the screenwriter at least take the plot of the episodes? Because there seems to be no effort at all.
At the end of the episode, I understand that Touma's Mother will live far away from her children for their "good", especially Touma, if so, it's another drama being added in this final stage, it gets stupid how many dramas we have in the middle. to these episodes. Every family in this anime is completely artificial and fails to represent something that comes close to parental feelings, I think the script is unaware of the word "family dialogue" because everything could lead to a tolerable and convincing path, it is important to have a family dialogue to solve a situation because that's how dramas and personal situations usually work... But you know what's funny? Episodes ago the anime had ended an episode in a drama conflict between Yuu and her mother, and we are going to the last episode and the anime has no consequence whatsoever, this script is purely dishonest with the viewer, even if you tell me that can be completed in a second season, so why put a cliffhanger on an end of episode if the anime doesn't resolve to give at least 1/5 of Yuu's situation? Even if he has a season 2, then why enter 1000 dramas and not split them by season? Because it would be a more advisable and much fairer construction of script, it can complete several in a second season, but it has set a loaded plot in a bad way.
Sorry for the rage, I think I exaggerated several points but this episode pissed me off so much that I was offended by everything the anime tries to develop. |
