THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So Satou is tasked with taking care of a sick girl this episode..
Seems everyone is getting along pretty well.

Arisa's role this episode made her look more useful compared to some of the younger characters. For a fantasy series, this episode felt really calm but the storytelling felt blend. I wasn't impressed. Mia is cute though.

Yeah that ended exactly where I thought it would. A rather laid-back, relaxed episode until that ending. Funny that there was a bit of camping having just watched Yuru Camp. Plus carriage riding! I always enjoyed those scenes with the fully animal children in the manga. I felt so bad for them so Satou's kindness was nice. Plus they're kinda adorable as well. XD And then of course we have Mia to tend to. Just what is this shadowy entity that has descended upon the group?

Am I the only one that likes this direction of the series? I mean action in isekai anime is good, but this type of progression is also appealing. Also, Pochi and Tama are super cute.

I like it a lot. Its refreshing to have an isekai game MC that *actually cares about leveling up those around him.

Talk about a cliffhanger at the end!!

I'm with you guys whole heartily. The slice of life aspect of Isekai is appealing to me very much and also that the MC cares about his harem slaves (waifu raising anyone?) and is leveling them up is something I wanted to see for a while now.

I look forward to this series every week. This and Darling are the only two I watch more then once. Now gotta wait another week.... Sucks it's only 12 episodes.

I wanna see the MC use his level again but with his harem watching.

I seen some comments against this show where one would say that he hasn't left the town already and I'm like uh... he did say he would stay for 10 days... albeit I dunno what day we are on at the moment even tho I wrote what I wrote above.

I really liked how he gradually increased his driving skill during his lesson with Lulu and especially how he didn't just tell us it was to make it seem natural unlike if he just maxed it instantly. Good visual story telling.

What was the point of the 'driving' lessons other than a convenient unknown person foreshadow since MC can just instantly max out his skills?

Probably because rather than show that he could easily master something in an instant, he wants to at least make it look like he's getting better and better with some practice. He doesn't want to let people find out about his OP status or else complicated stuff may happen.

It feels almost like cheating that you can get the language skill by learning one word, then just upgrade it to a perfect level 10 knowledge... :D

That upset kettle... :D

Well, damn... Expected that owl to be a familiar, but looks like it's even worse. Nothing Satoo won't be able to handle, though, knowing his abilities.

I'm glad the series is taking the time to make sense- the writing is actually consistent. I have no clue where this is going, but I definitely want to find out. Too bad that if this series doesn't pull off a twist of some sort by the end of this season, the chances of it getting another may be slim to none- and it'll just be remembered as "nothing special".

Because Satou needs to "experience" something before he can get it as his skill?
Also to enable him to get Lulu to open up.
Unlike Arisa, who looks like she'd open up for him at any time, day or night ;)

Death Gun found Kirito

I do not know if they said it, but if I'm not mistaken, the girl died and was invoked in that world. If Saito also died, how did he die?
(he not asking anything, although I guess a lot would not help)
The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list.
The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story.

Hmm an elven girl and a Ratman warrior huh. Arissa's complaining though was so cute. I guess it will take some time for Mia to get used to things though. Tama and Poichi sure are single minded in their love for meat. The cards that they bought sure are proving useful though. Satoo's estimate skill sure proved to be useful though. Practising camping was a good idea. Arissa sure was good at breaking down things so that they're more easy to understand. Mia sure was talkative when she's scared though. But lightning is what all the girls fear it seems. So the lightning was just a cover for this mage to approach then.

In one of their first conversations Arisa confirms that she was reborn into this world with her memories intact and that there are two ways people end up there - either being reborn like her, or being summoned as a hero, in which case they appear in a magic circle as they were in their original world. Satou notes that he doesn't fit either of these cases since he wasn't reborn here, but is also considerably younger here than his original self and saw no magic circle.

I hope Arisa never changes, she is very entertaining to watch.

All the girls look good in their new clothes.

Meat meat meat lol.

Money is no problem for Satou, I understand why he doesn't want to flaunt it around though.

That cart will be a huge help, the party keeps getting bigger plus it's just makes things easier anyway, can travel further & carry more stuff.

That owl must be one of those evil wizards that kidnapped Mia, maybe the manager will explain what's going on in the next episode.

Finally the famous cart that we've been seeing ever since the ED song makes its appearance. FInally we get some real party traveling, cant wait >_< And Lulu is the one who can drive huh. But then again Satou can do anything he wwants lol.
Good morning in elvish? *Elvish language skill acquired* :D
Didnt know that Lulu is older than Arisa i thought they were the same age.
Was sweet seeing kids he gave chicken to, return the favor, i thought we wouldnt see them again and he gave them jerky back and had to hold tama and pochi from going wild LOL, they are so like animals, really really cute animals tho :D
Mia is getting more comfortable around the company and they have sweet interactions <3
WOW THAT RAT accent <3333 and he is lvl 24? wtf? too strong, rat too strong :D

I liked Mia's story, kinda like rapunzel right? kiiinda, not quite tho. Then she found red mask (rat) and get to know them and they decided to follow her. Thats cool.
Also liked how cute they were scared from thunder even Arisa. "Is there problem" LOL and yes Mia,even mighty dragons fall from sky when hit by lighting.
Also scary boiling kettle person was very scary >_<

I'm enjoying the slow progression so far. Though it makes it hard to watch weekly.

I just hope this doesn't start focusing entirely on the harem in later episodes like that trashy smartphone anime.

That... was basically the description of the series that I'd heard about (and was looking forward to) going in before episode 1, with a non-sexual more family-type harem.. plus food porn. <,<;; So far it is living up to the hype. lol

Kinda impressed that he asked that specifically to unlock the language skill. Also made me laugh that he actually Mastered (10/10) Cultivation, Farming and Weeding. Weeding... XD

Satou is 15, Arisa is 11, Lulu is 14, Martha is 13, don't think we have actual ages for PochiTama or Liza, Zena is 15 IIRC, and Mia is 130(lol). Satou already noticed from her titles that she is likely still considered a child in "elven years", so he's already hands-off loli-zoned her. XD All of these ages have been shown in the status screens and/or verbally stated in the show so far.

Ratman might be the highest level non-Satou character we've seen so far. I can see why his name is known.

I'm wondering if maybe lightning in this world has a higher chance of striking someone or something? Even Lulu leaned on Satou for comfort during the driving lesson when lightning flashed, and she's quite awkward around him still, but Thunder > Man on her scariness meter I guess.

And yes, Mr. Kettle is angry and Mr. Thunder is scary. XD (Wish English had more gender neutral words like "-san" in Japanese...)

For a series with slice of life being the main attraction, it seems awfully keen on skipping over much of it with mostly still-frames and music. They really need to sit down a little more, it's going WAY too fast.

It was nice of him to do that, he wanted others feel like he was learning gradually and within that time attempted to talk to Lulu more.

To be fair it only pops up in the menu as an option, doesn't seem like Satou actually levelled it up.

They have similar issues, none of the characters are "mascot character" enough. All round plain cast.
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

Yes, I did actually notice that as well. Hasn't even unlocked it, at least as far as we've been shown. He'll most likely keep upgrading it slowly like the driving skill this episode, but it's still interesting to think how he actually has the option to do so if he wanted to (or needed to in an emergency, I guess).

There are some episodes that left me speechless, usually they are good, wish I could say the same about this one. Maybe my standard is too high or I still have no idea what this show is about, but so far there was only one good episode in this show, if I didn't like Isekai and Satoo personality so much this would be where I draw the line and dropped, the other characters are just there as background nothing interesting so far to me. Let's see where this build up will take us, if we can call this a build up.

That ending sequence with the owl was done so well. The second it's eyes flashed across the screen when he was learning to drive the cart got your attention, and then it just kept creeping on the perimeter like some monster from a horror game, all up until the climax with the thunderstorm and the dang thing starting you down in your own home in the middle of the night.

Mia's Spirit Sight view of Satoo was interesting to see too. Does he look like that all the time to her? And is that sparkly effect just a result of him being so over-leveled?

I would expect that to be the actual spirits she can see, although whether they are attracted by his personality or his over-leveled abilities is another question.
