THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Eh, I'm going to have to get used to Arisa's voice in this show. Seems she gets along with Tama and Pochi so far. Looks like a pretty calm episode and all the girls got dressed up. The slave girls actually have decent clothes on now. Arisa's lack of common sense is cringeworthy. That kiss though. |

Arisa sure is nice addition. But is she really interested in him, or was it just a cover? Considering her backstory about reincarnation, I find it hard to take her horny loli side seriously (and I really like that side...). Good to finally have some info about this world. We still don't know how he ended there, but at least it's not some weird dream anymore. Not being a summoned hero also sounds good. And it seems another loli is coming soon! |

Quite an interesting episode with a little note of sadness. Poker face is certainly cool, but I was more pleased with how Satou urged to calm down Zena. |

Now it became more of a mystery of how or why he ended up there. Considering the other methods and apparently meeting god. I'm kinda surprised Arisa didn't inquire more about him from Japan or Satou vice versa. |

Lulu and Arisa in the house! Oh boy, I somehow forgot all about that long nude scene. Thank goodness Satou ain't a lolicon! That ending cliffhanger though....oh the events it portend should be interesting.... |

Great episode, unfortunately some things were left out or replaced(?) that I don't quite understand. They left out the part about Satou not freeing the girls from slaverly because the slave trader explained that it's more dangerous for "free" demi-humans to move around than as slaves. The explanation from Arisa that she and Lulu were not just enslaved but actually put under a "geass" that forces them to keep being slaves and them just dying if they got freed, was not mentioned either. Instead it was all just glossed over with "they feel more at ease as slaves"... what? The entire part about Arisa's and Satou's skills was omitted as well... though I hope that that was merely relocated and will be explained later. Well, at least people will (hopefully) understand now that this is not some "virtual reality" MMORPG death game story. Reincarnation wouldn't really make sense with that. |

Arisa sure is into Satou. Her backstory is quite sad. Got to learn how she ended up in this world. The ending is very interesting. |

It's better to get used with the idea that anime will not always follow the Manga, LN, or web version as that happens more often then not. It's interesting to see the differences none the less. Although it's technically an actual world, which was a game in his world. It's pretty strange that he gets a hud display, which so far seems to be limited to him. |

I'll be damned, it actually wasn't bad. Started as the blandest and most generic crap but this episode with MC acting like a grown up he actually is and the whole resurrection/summoning deal piqued my interest. Voices are a bit jarring and pacing is pretty bad but let's see how it turns out. |

They escaped when a demon attacks the kingdom, then are picked up by the slave trader. They hide their skills until Satou gets them so no one would take them, so after the demon attack probably not. |

Garbage. Loved the WN, somewhat liked manga but hating the anime. Say whatever you want, but I think they absolutely ruined the story with random deletion of parts of the dialogues and rewriting rest of them. I'm actually thinking about dropping the anime. |

Satou is very nice, even giving food to those dog like creatures. Either way the girls won't have to suffer ever again if they are with him. Arisa has some unique powers that could be very useful. Lol she wants him bad. Wow she is also Japanese, glad she explained about how others come into that world, Satou is different though of course, I think he was asleep at the time. Haha yeah I knew they would walk into a scene like that, good thinking by him though instantly going after Zena & clearing that all up. Another girl at the end after the credits, she looks like one of the party members in the opening in ending, guess we will learn more about her next time. |

This is something new that the isekai series desperately needed to keep on going. The addition of more characters from earth. This is something I didn't expect at all and something that worked really well with Arisa. I hope more interesting and unique ideas come of this anime |

So it seems that both Arisa and Lulu are the same as Satou then. I guess being taken to a restaurant by their master is a new experience for the girls. Im surprised at how many types of races there are in this world really. Thats an Interesting speech that Arisa gave though. Arisa's reaction at being denied her services was interesting though. Arisa's reply certainly was surprising though. Arisa though sure had a sad origin story though. No way that these girls deserve to be treated as slaves though thats something i can agree with. |

A slightly better episode, but the pace is still a bit too fast and light on explanations and details. I'm a bit disappointed in the adaptation so far because I actually really did enjoy reading the official Light Novels for this. The biggest redeeming factor of the anime is definitely that the character designs are top notch. Lulu looks very fine in this episode. At least they'll be able to cover a decent amount of material at this pace and finish up with the end of Volume 2 and maybe some events afterward. Probably won't get into Volume 4 which has some good moments and characters while Volume 3 is a bit of slice-of-life. |

I enjoyed that, though I am a bit annoyed that they went from the labyrinth straight to him picking up Lulu and Arisa, and missed out quite a bit from the LN,though it happens with anime adaptions. Enjoyed, really enjoyed the bed scene, and the morning, and I'm looking forward to what happens next. Though I have to admit,I'm enjoying the OP and ED theme songs as well, they just seem to fit the anime well. |

Didn't really enjoy this episode too much. The MC voice is still bothering me and it just doesn't fit to some of the situations. In this episode it would be when he find Arisa on top of him. His physical actions are energetic and his voice doesn't change. It's pretty flat throughout... you'd think the poker face skill somehow applied to his speech as well at this point. |

Don't need a detailed explanation from readers of the source, (NO SPOILERS PLS, in other words,) but can I get a few short answers on whether or not it is explained in the WN: * How old was Arisa when she died? Speech patterns are youngish/modern, and she was comfortable w/ video gaming terms, so it seems unlikely she died of old age. Also, kinda got shotacon vibes from her lust-fueled rant about how thin and hairless he is. XD ** Extending from above, is there a time-variance between the two worlds? Arisa's been there for 11yrs, but I don't feel much of a gap in their understanding of things from the Old World. Did she get reincarnated "in the past" so to speak? * Are slaves actually cheap to buy? :/ Satou just picked up FIVE at one shot, and though he is richer than (a) God at this point, (since he already looted one,) it seems to me like it should be uncommon for anyone to be buying in bulk. If the slave trader was like, " Hey Bro, you're cool! I like you! Buy3,Get2 Free!" though hoping to get rid of his troublemakers, it would bother me less. lol Also this : |

Interesting...they started to call him Sato/Satou this whole episode instead of "Satoo" like in previous episodes...maybe Arisa is mistaking that to be his real name from when he was still in Japan....either that or the people doing the anime screwed up in in the first place, when it was supposed to be Satou all along and are now trying to fix it in subsequent episodes?...I don't know anymore. I hope it was in fact, Satou, because "Satu/Satoo" makes him sounds like a dumb pokemon bird. Who does these subs? They're leaving much to be desired. Just when I thought they got their shit together with fixing Tama's "Aye or Aye Aye" a particular character trait of hers, they screw it up again with mistranslating Arisa's line "Did I wake you?" to "Did I arouse you?" which she did not say, which from my years of watching anime, have come to learn a little Japanese to know that much. It's like they get a new person every week to do the subs, thereby lacking consistency of names, places, and creating overall inaccuracies. I wish I could download the subs as .srt to easily fix this shit myself. Makes me regret paying for Crunchyroll just for this series, when everything is so half-assed. SkyLETV said: That makes sense, but still, what Satou says is really misleading: "You don't ever have to do that kind of work again, okay? When Satou says that line....I don't think they ever mentioned Lulu ever having done so at all...not in the novel, or manga. In fact, I think the original source explicitly mentioned that they were both virgins when Satou was buying Lulu and Arisa, so he would have already known. Either the adaption fucked it up, or the subbers fucked it up. Why? Because a pretty HUGE deal they just glossed over about, a major plot point about Lulu's character background; due to different standards of beauty, she is thought to be inherently unattractive to the point the people of that world views her as hideous, ugly, and pitiful for having been born looking the way she did. Considering that backdrop, now they expect me to believe that prior to meeting Satou, she was raped or forced even when people of that world widely think she's uglier than a donkey? I'm not buying it. Two more points they cut out: 1, being that Lulu and Arisa were left over slaves that nobody wanted to buy since they saw Lulu as ugly and Arisa had violet hair which was seen as a bad omen. And number2; they cut out the part where the girls walking in mistook Lulu's period blood on the sheets as Satou having taken her virginity, further making it more unbelievable that they would put a line like that there, when the joke wouldn't fit. Lulu would have simply cried not out of remembering the past, but out of relief that she didn't have to do something she didn't want to do in the first place, or being shown kindness for the first time. As for people who bring up the "slave" part argument....No. This other world has a lot of different kinds of slaves: crime slaves, labour slaves, political slaves, bodyguard slaves, employed slaves...etc, with sex slaves being only one of them--so no, just being a slave does not automatically make someone think they're used for sex...only Arisa and Lilio's thinking is like that, which is played for laughs. Also, the invading kingdom executed their entire family; men, women, children...all of them. If they wanted sex slaves, they would not have killed the women. The only reason they were still made slaves instead of also being killed, was the WHOLE REASON (also cut out of the anime) that the enemy country invaded in the first place, which was to revive a dungeon under the castle, and they needed a couple of sacrifices of royalty if need be...those two being Arisa and Lulu. This is in the original source. So that's the reason why I think somebody in the production line fucked it up, whether the subs or the anime adaption itself (director/writer) changing shit that doesn't need to be changed..because that was not in the original source. I really do like this series, but this adaption makes me like it less and less. tetragramat said: Garbage. Loved the WN, somewhat liked manga but hating the anime. Say whatever you want, but I think they absolutely ruined the story with random deletion of parts of the dialogues and rewriting rest of them. I'm actually thinking about dropping the anime. I'm starting to agree with each passing episode. Still salty about the anime wyverns becoming terribly thought out and poorly designed generic dragon double-amputees. It's like they think viewers are too dumb, so have to make drastic changes like that for the viewers, when all it does is alienates previous fans of the series. Note: no spoilers mentioned in the post above. Anything listed, was already deliberately cut out of the anime, and apparently deemed unworthy enough to be included or even considered a spoiler. If they were, it wouldn't have been cut out. |

You seems to know a lot, can you tell me if the girls were rapped or suffered any abuse in the past? It was not very clear. Seems to be a harsh world where they live. Going by everything that's happened I would assume so. The kingdom got taken over so I would assume their then master would have done something going by the culture and the fact that they prepared themselves in front of Satou like it was normal. They escaped when a demon attacks the kingdom, then are picked up by the slave trader. They hide their skills until Satou gets them so no one would take them, so after the demon attack probably not. The Trader said that both the girls are virgins in LN The big sister lulu got bullied that's it Going by what the trader says in the LN sure but the trader didn't have them before the kingdom got taken. It's all depends on if the writer wants to reveal it or not. Most likely in that situation I highly doubt it considering they were made slaves while the rest was killed off. well since arisa was called exiled witch i think it would have been hard for the slave masters to abuse them sexually as she can control mind through psychic powers and could easily control her master and lulu She is seen as ugly due to the different beauty standards in the world of Death March even though she is extremely beautiful in the eyes of the Japanese. so I don't think anyone was interested in them and in this episode they were forced into slavery by the king but there after the kingdom was burn and looks like after that they were taken by the trader no one was interested in buying them until satou did but still let's wait for the future episodes That makes sense, but still, what Satou says is really misleading: "You don't ever have to do that kind of work again, okay? I think he assumed things here since he's new there we'll have to wait for the anime to show us Lulu's back story LN says they virgin hope the anime will reveal the same |

I'm with you the loli stuff isn't half as interesting as exploring the world. I didn't mind some cute companions but this is really getting out of hand. |

But it will also be strange that neither Lulu nor Arisa have clarified that at that time. |

He overworked himself to near death or a dangerous coma and was probably transferred the moment when he was asleep which is probably why he didn't fall into the two categories of transferring to their world. He's half and half so the (God) System messed up and he was left in a wasteland at lvl 1. It was a very wise decision for him to have not revealed his identity cause it looks like this world punishes(balances) those who receives too many achievements that shape their world like heroes defeating the demon king or a Princess succesfully boosting their kingdom beyond medieval methods. The hero probably dies if they defeat the Demon King and a Princess Kingdom falls into ruins. On another note, I wonder how Arisa looks like in the original world. It's amazing how Arisa has so many debuff skills for a lvl10 lol |
