| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was cool, we got introduction of the main characters again. Even Erina came back and there's also a glimpse of the Ten Elites (I'm pretty sure we'll see more of them later this season) The episode really got me back into the mood again with all the cooking themes and training. Kinda refreshing to see Miyoko back too. I'm happy to see this show return tbh. Not as much as foodgasm yet but I'm pretty sure that will happen later on. Personally, I liked the ED theme song more than the opening song. |

| IT'S BACK PEOPLE! Amazing as always, the opening will grow on me probably. But man it feels good to see Soma and the gang back animated. I have this itching feeling of spoiling things to my friends. But they'd kill me so I guess I wont. Awesome to see Kuga senpai voiced, I imagined it a bit differently but it's still very good. His training hall had this "Kung Fu Panda" vibe to it, I liked that |

| I found this episode to be very confusing. It didn't feel like a first episode at all as we were just thrown into the action from the get go. I would've built it up a little beforehand. Felt very very rushed. Hope the pacing slows down a little. |
| I didn’t think the OP could get more intense. Finally, the entire Elite 10 has made their appearance, and Souma is already involved with them. I forgot that Food Wars has great seiyuus, and as soon as I heard Kuga, I could tell it was Kaji Yuuki-san. Such a well-suited role~ Similar to season 2, they don’t ease you into the thrill and excitement of Tootsuki Academy’s bold students and crazy events. Can’t wait for next week! |
| As already stated, this picks up immediately from the second OVA for season two. If you feel like it's rushed, that's why. Shame it wasn't subbed before this season started. It's pretty necessary. |

| Nice comeback! Erina's new voice actor is doing fairly well, her voice doesn't sound as striking though, more soft. I like the concept of three different areas where you can choose your booth to be in, gather a shit ton people in the area where you don't have to pay much though in comparison to the areas above with likely less people around. Also standing next to popular figures or avoiding them. I was kinda expecting Souma to go right next to Kuga but damn, he took it a step further even. |

| I recommend to read chapters 118 and 119 of the manga since the OVA that adapted it isn't translated, they still recapped the most important parts but yeah, you can fully see it there! Nice first episode, seeing Shokugeki back makes me so happy! These events are already a bit out of my memory since the manga is like 2 years ahead in content and I read this back when I fell in love with the series halfway through first season, oh man the memories. I laughed so hard at the end when they pointed out that ending in negative numbers = expulsion, I think it's a bit late to say that hehe. |

| Pretty good starting episode and very hyped out his arc. This is probably my favorite arc (I feel like Imma get a load of replies now complaining) but I really like just the rivalry in school festival arcs. They're just a lot of fun and that's what this is going to be. A lot of fun. |

| Ooooh boy, Souma is back, baby! ^_^ It's a shame that the second OVA from season two wasn't subbed prior to this, as it would showcase the whole elite ten better than the small recap at the start of this episode. Either way, it's great to see the main cast again as we dive straight into the Moon Festival arc. As for the songs used, ZAQ's OP song sounds intense and epic, like with season two's OP song. Nano Ripe's ED song sounds as good as their last song from the previous season so far, so I'm happy with that. =) Although I've only heard her for the first OVA, I think that Erina's new VA has been doing a really good job so far. I do miss Risa's voice for her still, but this change hasn't effected me at all. Overall, this was a great start to season three, if a little quick on the pace. I'm looking forward to how J.C Staff adapts the rest of this arc as well as the one afterwards. If done well, then this season will be excellent. =3 |

| The episode rocked out! X3 anyways I was told that the 2nd ova of the 2nd season was suppose to be the first episode for the 3rd season. It is not out yet. But I will watch it soon once it is subbed. |

| Follows the the end of the S2ova, that opening means they are gonna rush through this again and the ending is pure budget saving. Erina-sama's new VA tried to sound like her old one so it's better than I expected. Moon festival and souma challenging kuga. |

| Glad to have my sweet Megumi back! Kinda sucks that they didn't introduce the elite ten properly and left that with the OVA, but I've read the manga so it doesn't bother me too much. I honestly didn't even notice that Erina's seiyuu had changed since it's been so long since the last season. Her new voice sounds just as good. Excited to see this arc animated, especially as I really love Kuga and I'm glad I can see him animated and being voiced by my favourite seiyuu Kaji. |

| I'm glad that this show is back, can't wait to see more cooking battles and foodgasms. I was disappointed at first, as i thought they were rushing things by glossing over the introduction of the Elite 10 with that flashback, but it turns out that was done in the second OVA of S2.....which still isn't fucking subbed yet. Anyway, good start to the season, with Souma already challenging an Elite 10 member. It was funny how he didn't realize he'd get expelled if his booth lost money, clearly he didn't fully understand what he was getting himself into. Seeing how he handles this should be interesting. |

| Somehow I'm glad that I've read the manga and because of that this episode didn't feel rushed as they just gave a glimpse of the elite ten meeting that happened in the OVA. Waiting for more food-gasms. |

| So happy this is back, great starting episode. I love how Souma just decided to face Toga head on and set up the booth right opposite to him, this is gonna be exciting. xD Erina's new seiyuu is doing well but I'm just not used to hearing her with this voice. Feels like something is missing even though she's doing a great job. Finally get to hear Rindou, looking forward to seeing more of her because of all the hype she has. <3 Bring on the food fest! |

| Very solid episode. Need to watch the OVA though. I don't like the new OP and ED songs as much as the other ones in the series. Always good to see one of my waifus Megumi again. 4/5 |
