Lol oh poor Akane. I think she is getting more popular but not for the proudest reasons.

The episode also gave Aoi more screen time.
I think she grew up a little bit and with confidence.

I can't help but laugh at this a bit though lol

Excellent episode. The elections is just six months away so things are getting tensed but two very interesting revelations are made.

Twelve years back a freak accident due to Kanade's childishness resulted in Shuu's legs being injured so badly that he couldn't play any sports since then. Kanade actually killed her twin's dream to become a football star. Which also explains why Shuu seems lacking any motivation. Kanade wants to become the King so that she can have research-works on how to heal Shuu's legs since she cannot do it with her own power. Shuu most likely knows that, which explains why he doesn't want her to become the king (making him the reason for becoming one). :(

Aoi's revelation on not wanting to become the king is rather heart-wrenching. Her actual power is absolute order, making others do what she tells them to do, even if they are not meant as orders. She started to think her friends were there for her and were following her requests only because of her absolute order. No wonder she doesn't want to do anything with her power, she is so kind and sweet after all. I like her more now. No wonder why she is so popular. :)

Aoi and Kanade's conversation leading to Aoi's revelation was pretty sweet too. <3

Loved the counter-measure meeting between Haruka, Misaki and her seven sinners! Really liked how Haruka thinks highly of his twin, Misaki, because he knows that despite how she thinks herself as plain and ordinary (except for her power of seven sins, lol) compared to their more popular sisters she gives her all for others and not for herself.

The omg-i-could-die-because-of-their-cuteness moment of this episode was Shiori helping Teru with his speech. So adorable.

I am starting to see the anime in a completely different light after this episode. :)

Was not expecting such a serious progression from this and to top that back to back.
We find out why Kanade was so focused on becoming king and Aoi having a bit of background sad problem.

Shit got serious fast.

Damn boi she got Absolute Order, stuff is too OP, she should rule Nippon with iron fist.

The flashback was really cute, but it looks like only girls are running for King spot, while guys are supporting them, aside from the youngest son. My man Shuu should just get serious and take the throne.

YES, I knew that Shu and Kanade were twins.....I like the fact that Shu is older by a few minutes too ;3 This episode was so good!

Aoi was right, Kanade was such a sweetheart when she was younger >//< But man, it's really sad how she almost seriously hurt both Akane and Shu (Who she clearly loves very much) and all she wanted was to get her brother to treat her like an equal TwT

It's a shame that she's putting on this act whereas everyone thinks that she's mean and up to no good when really all she wants to do is give her brother his life back since it's her fault why he could no longer pursue his dreams (Which imo is really freaking cute and kind)....This episode jumped her up in my #1 spot for sure

But man oh man, Big Sister Aoi......She's already perfect as is but damn, I did not expect to find out that she's pretty much Lelouch lol. That is quite an OP ability O_O And yeah, I get where she's coming from with her holding back and all but hopefully after this episode, she'll learn to accept it

Props to Akane and Misaki as well for trying harder too and extra props to Kanade for being the only one to actually figure out that Aoi's memorization (Which is super impressive mind you) isn't actually her real ability

Wow aoi has absolute order. she can basically command people to do her bidding... That's a very powerful or even dangerous ability... At least she is sweet.
We learned why kanade really wanted to become king. She wants to help shuu because she accidentally injured his leg....

This episode just left everything out in the open. Several revelations were made, and in one single episode, everything falls into place. The trauma and motivation of Kanade, the reasons for the lack of motivation from Shuu, the fears and worries of Aoi, the true feelings of Misaki, and the insight for Haruka.

The interesting thing here is, even if Kanade's motive is pure selfishness, in the end, her means to the end that she so desires will end up helping more than just Shuu, but the entire populace of their kingdom as well.

Loved watching each sibling campaign, and loved how Shuu and Aoi were putting so much effort into helping Akane's cause, likewise with Shiori helping Teru. Both campaigns were doing very well (though Teru's Chuunibyou was acting up at the start). The only one that didn't really get much air-time was Hikari, what with her "secret" idol activities and all that.

Overall the episode was beautifully done. Now that all has been revealed, I hope to see more intense campaign in the coming few weeks.

"Misaki Summit" that was quite hilarious xD I do feel a bit sorry for Haruka though xD

I wonder if Shuu knows why Kanade is trying to become King and tries to sabotage her because of that, maybe he doesn't want her to only do this because of him and/or because of guilt. I hope we'll get a bit more insight on Shuu's feeling about that accident too

A good amount of revelation this episode. Finally know why Aoi and Kanade's reasons for running and no running for king.

Akane is adorable as always.

Lol at Shiori practically making the speech for Teru.

I don't see how this is a problem. It provides more development for the characters, instead of having them just be static, with very little going on outside of the election. The election is important, but the election is only a way to get to know the characters better. I mean, Kanade's entire problem affected how she went treated the election. Same with Aoi. How this is bad, I will never know.

God, why'd they waste the best power on the boring vanilla girl? She doesn't even want the best power, goddamn ridiculous. I ain't here for this boring timid shit. They should've made eldest sister an ojou-sama if they were gonna give her literally the best power in the world.

And Akane's still annoying as sin. Why's her ass even coming third? This town must have no taste. Only one who should logically be getting any votes at all is Kanade anyway, she's the only one actually WORKING TO IMPROVE THE AREA. I know this is just a stupid anime but you've gotta acknowledge that a king's meant to be actually helping society if you're gonna suddenly throw in all this morals bullshit to try to make the characters more than just their boring vague personality types halfway through. It doesn't just go one way.

Because it makes for a better character. Having someone abuse their power is a whole lot less interesting than a person who has to restrain their power that can come out at any time. It makes her wonder how many instances in her past it had activated. Seeing someone abuse the power would get boring after a while.

Akane's already shown herself as a just and overall good person, so I see no reason why she would be disliked. Kanade is also two faced, and some citizens might have seen through it. That's why she might not have all the votes. People not knowing her true self might make them scared of what she's actually like and not risk making her king. I don't understand your problem with throwing in moral stuff. A king needs morals in order to not make a corrupt kingdom. Also, are you really complaining that the characters are being more fleshed out. Are you serious?

That explains the demotivation of Aoi (the most powerful ability), the motivation of Kanade (remorse and wanting to give back to Shuu) and the true goal of Misaki (being acknowledged by her twin Haruka). That was a meaningful episode, fleshing out our characters.

That Misaki summit though. If this was an H I don't even want to say what would happen between Haruka and Misaki.
I thought Kanade was evil and going to do an evil plot and rule over the world while Shu is going to stop her but it's not.

Best episode of this series so far!
I'm enjoying this series!

The plot is intense and this episode made that it even better!
The reason why Kanade wants to be King is to do researches to heal Shu.
Before this episode I didn't like Kanade but after watching this episode that changed :)
We got to know what power Aoi has Absolute Order.
If a Aoi was a bad person she could've used this power to wint the elections.
But she is a good person and that makes her likeable :D

LOL, wrongest thing I've heard in a while. Someone in this family abusing their power'd make for something way more interesting. Especially if it was in a way that made them more popular and really twisted things in the voting and in the family, and especially if it was the most idolised and adored member of the family that was doing it. Besides, Aoi's already fucking boring. She's got the personality of a shoe.

No, I'm complaining that it's halfassed. You'd know that if you read my post properly. They're throwing in this shit even though the elections already make no goddamn sense and no-one's voting for proper reasons and most of the votes have gone down to "I think this boring girl is prettier than this other boring girl!". You can't act like your characters' morals mean anything when no-one's been voting for their goddamn morals. All of Akane's fans just like that she's an annoying dithery shit that hasn't figured out that she doesn't have to wear a skirt in public all the time like "doh, why are people seeing my panties???". They've told us this over and over, yet now they're acting like these characters' policies matter, when we know they don't. They've shown us they don't! They should've either made this serious or made this funny, not start doing this atrocious attempt at a mix no-one involved is capable of pulling off suddenly that's making the show unbearable instead of just mediocre. It's especially horrifying since the morals shit is cliche and boring in the first place, whereas the comedy with powers was at least somewhat entertaining and original.

If you haven't noticed, Aoi's power is OP. That'd be immediate victory. That would pretty much destroy the purpose of the entire story. Plus, it's not great when they make a person just inherently a horrible person. It makes her a worse character if she's just there for us to hate.

The populace is divided in this scenario. Some people vote for stupid reasons, and some vote for legitimate reasons. This was shown in the first episode. They spell out that some people aren't really taking the election seriously, but at the same time it showed that to some people morals mattered, because Akane's ranking went up after she took out that robber.

You must have a really dull time watching media if you immediately hate all characters with any bad traits/questionable choices and call them instantly worse than characters that don't. Plus, when did I say that Aoi'd be evil if she used her powers lmao? Bad traits =/= evil, it makes a flawed character that's actually interesting. A perfect goody two shoes with the personality of a shoe is incredibly boring, much more so than someone getting a lil power-hungry and having some actual depth to their character. Some conflict and differing opinions over the use of powers might've made this show something to talk about, but if you'd rather watch a log in the shape of a girl ramble around aimlessly like "I made people that were going to put up posters anyway put up posters!" then whatever lmfao. And lol, "the purpose of the story", as though this show even has one.

Besides, I didn't even say "Aoi actually using her power and having a better personality would mean she would IMMEDIATELY WIN!", where are you getting this bullshit from? There could've been so much more here than just "CANNOT USE POWER EVER!" if they added in elements like her learning Kanade's motive and then questioning using her power, not wanting to control her family and very close friends but being fine with strangers and questioning her stance on that, wanting desperately to make sure one of her other siblings DOESN'T win for a reason not yet revealed, or even making us question Aoi entirely and not revealing her true personality and motives until the very end, never letting us know if she's been forcing every action in the show or not. I literally just thought of a storyline better than what we have in about 30 seconds and amazingly none of it was "Aoi using her powers would make her an insta-win tyrant!!!!", almost like I'd never said that.

I watch this because its fun and cute not to get my heart wrenched with not one but TWO terrible backstories of living with the guilt of crippling your brother and crushing his aspirations for the future, and the fear of what you're capable of if you aren't careful and controlling those around you inadvertently and having to use indirect language and choose your words very carefully to not force people to do what you say. Kanade and Aoi you poor girls :( And Shuu, being disabled myself and having my athletic aspirations crushed I feel your pain too... this got too real :/

This was a such a great episode, though that's to be expected by the stupid amount of love I have for this show. I already knew about Aoi's Absolute Order power from the manga, but the way it was done in the anime was good as well. It's also good to see Kanade's motivation as well as another side to her, though she's still not exactly my favourite, I do like her.

While Aoi and Kanade's stories were probably the most important part of the episode, I keep going back to those Misaki Summit sections. After all, it featured best character Haruka and second best character Misaki. Her brocon was definetly showing.

It's a shame that Haruka, for whatever reason, doesn't want to run for King as I think he'd make a great one with the kind of things he was saying.

Some interesting stuff but the episode as a whole was actually rather dull. It was good to get a bit of a focus on Aoi and to find out more about her power (seriously, she is dangerously OP). Kanade's reasoning for wanting to become King is pretty interesting but seems really cliche. It also doesn't help that this episode was pretty weak on the comedic front.

My thoughts about this Episode:

So this is episode was basically Kanade's childhood and her reason to become the King huh?
And also Aoi's childhood and her true power/special ability? (And it's seriously terrifying and dangerous when used inappropriately!)
I wonder what's that ruckus in their house? (seen in the preview) I guess I need to wait for the next week's episode to find out!

UGGGGGGGGHHHHHH

I love for the Misaki and Haruka interactions. They're my favorite sibling-coupling out of all of them, though Shiori+Teru and Shuu+Kanade definitely come in close after.

I just really like cute family interactions.

I'm dead. I have no idea who I want to be King anymore. This episode destroyed me. Let Kanade be King?? Let Shuu be King?? Anyone but Akane?? Akane, baby, being a King would be too much for you.

Ohhh, man. Aoi's power suddenly explains so much.

Akane's embarassed face while giving her first speech is really cute (like always). There's also a backstory of the twins Kanade-Shuu. And turned out Aoi's real power is not her photographic memory. It's just her special trait/talent while her true power is to command anyone to obey her for a limited time (aka absolute order). Wow that's a power that every kings/leaders dreamed of...~

Nice episode. Finally, some Aoi screentime, and loved it. Younger Aoi, and little Kanade and Akane kawaii <3. Also, that Absolute Order is one powerful ability. Also nice to know Kanade's reason for reaching to be the king.

Lelouch?!
NO, Aoi > Lelouch since geass can only used once on the same person, but Aoi can do it multiple times..
overpowered indeed..

anyway, amusing episode as always :)

This episode felt drastically different from the previous ones. Almost melancholic at some points. But we got a lot of character development and info which is nice.

We now learned that Kanade is running out of guilt. He injured Shu to the point where he cant play sports anymore, and wants to fund research in order to fix him. We also learned that if she goes broke, her summoned shit breaks. They didn't say it directly, but this could imply why she has a fuck ton of money in her bank account. Sure, you could argue that she's grown up and become responsible, and always wants to have money saved up. But I think the real reason is after the devastating results of her going broke once, she never wanted to risk it happening again.

Also found out Shu doesn't care about being king and for a plain and simple reason. He doesn't have one. It's a simple dynamic, but nice to see one family members who's just like "yep don't feel like doing it because it doesn't interest me".

And we found about Aoi kami-sama's OP power. No wonder she doesn't use it, this show could be over instantaneously. She wouldn't even have to use it for herself. If she really wanted Akane to win, she could command everyone to vote for her instead. I also didn't realize she was the oldest either lol. Could've sworn that Shuu and Kanade were the oldest with Aoi being next followed by Akane. Whoops.

If you haven't noticed, Aoi's power is OP. That'd be immediate victory. That would pretty much destroy the purpose of the entire story. Plus, it's not great when they make a person just inherently a horrible person. It makes her a worse character if she's just there for us to hate.

You seem to be doing nothing but bitching, so why don't you just drop the fucking show. Nothing but crying and whining. It's a happy slice of life show, not a psychological drama. "wahhh this show would've been so much better if Aoi had evil motives blah blah blah". Shut the fuck up. It should've been obvious from the first episode that nothing like that would even remotely happen. Don't like it? Then stop watching and quit complaining.

Another awesome episode! Finally some story development with some past sequences. Aoi's power is sure op and how lovely she is not wanting to use that power. I'd completely abuse that power in many ways if I have it :3
