| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So I thought I would make threads for each episode I watch, lol. Even if no one else did during Spring season of 2007. Anyway, this was a lovely start to the new season. First things first, I was like... awww... no new opening song. But I still love the current one anyway, so who cares. Haha. The new images are nice, I'm happy to see that the story behind Eigetsu is actually gonna be revealed. I was like leaning towards Seiran when it came to Shuurei's final romantic love interest, but it's definately gonna be the Emperor now no matter how I look at it, since the openings always puts them together anyway (or it could be bittersweet, like they want to be together but they can't). The OP like shows little Shuurei and Seiran together, it kind of further prove that their relationship is on a family level. The highlights of episode 1 included the awesome-ness of a Kouyuu x Shuurei pairing (I feel bad for Kouyuu but it will be probably be hilarious) and Seiran's drunk and irritated self for most of the episode (okay, in the beginning he's just being emo again but eh, I guess it's something to look forward too as he increasingly becomes more... agitated with everything? Perhaps...) |
| Damn! seriously 7 years has passed and still no one has replied to this thread O__O After finishing Season 1 two weeks ago and came back for Season 2(had to finish Zeta Gundam first :P) What an amazing way to start the show!! And yeah it's still the same opening song with a different animation, but that's okay since i love the first OP :) Animation seems to be improved ALOT. They manage to keep the same artstyle, but more mature and improve animation!! AMAZING!! Sound effects and even the commercial is the same as Season 1 which is fine by me. I'm more interested on what adventure their gonna show us :) I love how they also reference the ending scene from Season 1 with Shuurei and Ryuuki! I missed Shouka!! Though i've watched Zeta and hearing him as Char there. So i'm glad he reprises his role here :) Yushun and Rin Sai are still married! Lol i knew that archer was Seiran judging by his get up. And lol i don't think that looks like an accident at all. Everyone is getting drunk as hell!! Kouyuu marrying Shurei to get's Kurou's support?? Ryuuki would be jealous as hell!! I wonder why Sai Rin reacted when Yushun said women in their family also are influential?? I wonder if she's really happy with him? Yay Kourin and Eigetsu are together!! I wonder if they'll expand their relationship in this arc :) Love the new ED!! My hope for season 2 like i said from the last episode is more bigger incidents like the one from Sa Province, Shoka's wolf clan and how it was formed and disbanded. I don't mind more murderous thieves backstory; especially how Sakujun raised Seiran back then, Enlightened beings and why they are in conflict with each other etc. It's good to be back watching more Saiunkoku Monogatari!! I love hearing Shuurei's voice once more!! Houko Kuwashima is definitely a goddess!! Can't wait for the next episode! |

| ^ sad truth, though not many people have time to go back and watch old anime, they'd rather follow along the new series. Decent start though seeing a drunk Seiran lashing out on Shuurei is pretty weird. |
