| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I honestly didn’t think that I’d enjoy this episode as much as I did. After the traitor is killed, the rest of the episode focuses on the aftermath, specifically on Ryo becoming Shanin’s father. In a way it fits perfectly, allowing Ryo to take care of Shanin and Kaori and still go woman chasing. And I guess that also means that Shin Hon can actually become the love interest. Really the only thing that bothers me about it is that Shanin is drawn to look a lot older than she really is. So while Ryo might even be the right age to act her father, they don’t look like a standard father/daughter pair. But then again, their relationship can’t really be called standard in any way. |

| Masterpiece!! I've never actually thought I'd like any City Hunter related series but this was just too amazing!! I just can't believe that I've seen a fifth of the series(10 eps) in 3 hrs and 20 mins only! That's a bit too freaky even for me xPP 5/5! Wonder how's the series gonna go on from now on (Well, next ep might be fun especially since it's about Xing Hong and Xiang Ying's real father--Which is Li--anyways not gonna bother thinking 'bout it gonna continue watchin' this some other day~ (This might really become my #1 fav series if it continues on like this =)) |

| The inner turmoil inside Li's organization was finished as expected. Ryou is being so cool here that I'm becoming a fan. I love how he took it into his hands to finish this, and how he scolded Xin Hong for being so eager to throw his life away. It would make Xiang Ying sad, and it's nice because this time he pretty much got Ryou's blessing. lol He even told him her name, and it was kind of funny the way he got shocked when he heard who was her father. Talking about fathers, I love the route Ryou's relationship with Xiang Ying is going. As lovers it wouldn't feel right. She isn't Kaori, there would always be conflicting feelings, there's the age gap, and there's Xin Hong, so this is the best way things could have turned out. Being a lover isn't the only way of supporting someone after all, Ryou is going to be there for her like a fatherly figure, and it's great. Welp, let's see if she is going to be officially adopted, or if they are going to tell her that she is Li's biological daughter. I think he got a bit bothered when he heard her call Ryou "papa," but let's see. |
