DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Asking "why even do magic?" is pretty interesting since the first series was pretty explicitly just a typical "magic would be fun!" kind of show. The opening theme even says as much. |
| Solid episode, once again. Pop has been getting much less spotlight since the beginning of Motto, which is really sad as she's as much of a great character as our five main heroines. And her spell chanting scene is always a nice throwback to the first season. :) What do we need magic for? I think this was the show's way of telling its audience that you don't need any gimmick or special powers of any sort to be a good person. These self-reflection, quite philosophical moments really set this series apart from your usual kid show. |
