Aww poor Nai ;.;

Anyways, episode was alright and I still get this mysterious vibe from some of the dreamy like scenes from the series. Mm, some tense scenes from Gareki and those eyes are like vipers. The bro-like relationship between Nai and Gareki is kinda funny to watch though imo.

Oh and nice fencing skills Yogi ^^

Enjoyable episode, felt a bit rushed though; 13 episode limits tend to do that. Niji forest is just beautiful.

Didn't feel it was rushed at all, in fact I liked it a lot better than the other two probably because I actually understood what was going on lol. The first two episodes sort of throw you in a chaotic situation without explaining anything and expect you to pick things up (from the perspective of someone who hasn't read the manga, at least) but by this episode everything sort of made sense and it was great to see the plot progress.

I wanted to give this show up by the second epi which was seriously slow and had awful pacing but episode 3 had me hooked :D hopefully the good streak continues

Gareki's visions of Nai as an animal were amazing XD

It's moving quite fast, but I think it's going fine tbh.

To me, the manga -was- going at a slower pace, and it kinda sucked out the intensity and "fun" of the series, until much later (where things started to get a little interesting). However the anime seemed to portray the missing elements the manga didnt have as it started off with.

Nevertheless, I'm growing into liking the Karneval series, even though I'm practically up-to-date with the manga. This episode seemed really fun and amusing to watch! Seriously loving the colour!

Im actually liking this show, which is kinda weird because i remember dropping manga after a couple of first chapters.I guess anime is entertaining me more.I really love colors, animation and seiyuus. So yea, for now no plans on dropping it.

Well, we get quite a good amount of back story and character development in this episode which I'm really glad for.
I now find Yogi and Tsukumo more interesting characters and I like the evolving relationship between Nai and Gareki.

And we now know why he has those weird little animal hair tufts! It's because he IS an animal, just in human form. Do you know how many questions that answered, or how many annoyances that plot point just forgave?

Nai is not some pathetic teen who is useless. He's a cute, defenseless, little, innocent animal that hasn't been a human that long and he acts more like a pet than a boy. He is loyal and he looks for his master (Karoku) almost to a fault. He doesn't really know how to take care of himself. He needs others to take care of him as he's been totally domesticated. And you just can't stay mad at him, especially when he gets you with THE EYES.
That one scene when Gareki told him he wasn't mad at him, and he lit up like a dog that had been forgiven by his master. That was so kawaii!

Well, I like where this story is going, though I think the stuffed shirts at the head of Circus need to take a chill pill. How dare you talk about dissecting Nai! And we get to see more members of Circus, which is good.

And then there's Karoku. Man, that guy is giving me Seimei from LOVELESS vibes. It's obvious that he created Nai and that he's quite possessive of him and doesn't care if he hurts him. While Nai is oblivious, Gareki is figuring out the true nature of his competition and seems to welcome the challenge.

We see tidbits of Gareki's background, and we see a girl with blood on her hands asking for him. Now who that girl is or his whole background will be interesting to see.

The last end fight was good, and Yogi proved that he's not pathetic in fighting. And is it just me, or were there totally BL vibes between Araki, our pink-haired doctor and Yogi? Hmmm...well it will be fuel for us fujoshi anyway.

As to the cliffhanger with Gareki, it seems that Karoku wants to get rid of the competition at any cost. I am very interested in seeing where this show goes, much better than last week. This episode gets a 8/10 for me.

Because Gareki is the threat. Remember Karoku basically threatened Gareki if Nai didn't leave him?

This is just conjecture though from someone who hasn't read the manga.

I felt the exact same way as I felt they got a lot more done and actually went forward in the story. I'm guessing that for those who read the manga, they skipped ahead a lot and that's why it felt rushed to them. But since I've never read it, the pacing is fine.

UGH NAI IS TOO CUTE T^T.....
Anyways, this is probably the prettiest anime this season. The forest, and even the character's eyes are beautifully animated.
And no, I don't think it was rushed at all. The manga seemed harder to follow.

pacing can really only Seem slow or fast if you have something to compare the pacing to right? i'm guessing most ppl who say its going fast or slow have read or completed the manga, in which cases it can seem that way, compared to ppl like myself who just flat out don't read manga, in which case we are oblivious to such things. Anyways, atleast the story is starting to pick up now and become a bit more clear, I wanna see the girl who uses the Scythe in action, Cuase i just have a thing for Girls with Scythes *_* (if anyone knows some good anime with girls wielding Scythes do tell me <3) good episode glad yogi isn't as wimpy as hes made out to be from his personality, next episode plz.

Poor Gareki, I know how he felt. Yeah I also felt as if I had been fooled by a rabbit.

Nai is like mixture of Shino from Hakkenden and a heroine from Amnesia: innocent and vulnerable. His awkward manner in OP song reminded me of the heroine in OP song of Amnesia. Hope he will grow up like Soldier Blue of Towards the Terra.

WHEN GAREKI WAS ALL FLUSTERED AKLDHFASDF
One of the things I was looking forward to was seeing Nai in Niji-form from Gareki's random time-to-time delusions haha, tooooo cute.

Since I've read the manga, the pacing does seem rather fast but I guess it can't be helped since there's only so few episode ): Of course, someone who hasn't read the manga might not think the same. I think I liked this ep better than the past two.

Another week to wait for the next ep ;;

Gareki's imagining Nai in his Nijji form was sooo cute!!!!

and seeing Nai cry just broke my heart. Is is just me, or is there a lot of fan service?? I mean, Gareki getting on top of Yogi, Gareki blushing.... (not that i'm complaining lol)

I don't think stuff like that is fanservice unless you are just thinking too hard? I mean, Gareki was embarrassed so he blushed. It happens. And he was just being mad and forceful so sat on him to grab his shirt properly? Stuff like that is just normal, not fanservice-y unless you want it to be.

That being said, I did like how the animated that blushing Gareki scene! It cracked me up! Like many other people have said, the pacing on this is really fast. I don't think it is really taking away from anything though (at this point at least). I figured it would be like that since it is only getting 13 episodes but I think they are doing an amazing job condensing things!

I didn't get any bl vibes from it or anything in the manga really but I guess that counts for subtle fanservice considering the unnecessary skinship.

Gareki blushing is explainable though and Nai being a hybrid human (but mostly a niji) imo pretty much killed whatever sexual tension/romantic angle to the character interactions.

I like the pacing mostly because it was well executed and I really want to see

And wow the visuals are really beautiful.

Lol it's funny because I was thinking the shota of the season during winter was Shino, and now spring season is Nai XD Nai is adorable (but I hate Heroine from Amnesia so I wouldn't compare Nai to her :P)

I love Gareki's revelation that the whole time he had been dealing with an animal. His embarrassed expression was so cute ^^ Yogi is so innocent too, he didn't know what to do when Nai was crying. I really love all the characters in Karneval.

Although I agree that the pacing is fast compared to the manga, it's nothing too noticeable or different. The adaptation has been pretty good so far.

I don't know, the fact that Nai is actually a full-fledged animal just in human form, put off all yaoi vibes for me to his and Gareki's relationship. I can see a bromance forming, but yaoi? Nah...

This is no yaoi, LOL. Still, clearly as a manga reader I can say that the author puts all the guys in the spotlight and leaves the girls in the shadows.
For instance I ship both straight and BL couples here.
In the manga I got HUGE BL vibes not from Nai x Gareki but from

ワンダーランド花 ♥
