| This chapter set the GITS mood right (war, politics, cyborg-terrorist). I hope there will be some grand-scheme as usual. Shame they didn't let Motoko more space but i guess it can't be helped since this was Batou's issue. Her younger look is really well done but gaaa-h she looks like a rookie here! This contrast is even more obvious in comparison to other guys from future section 9. The older Motoko fitted there better. I know she is a cyborg, but still. I am more anxious to see how they will portray her younger personality and her past. btw this pick is awesome |

| i've been super excited about Arise...but the art! it's not bad but why? maybe the overly youthful look of all the characters will be explained (read: BETTER BE EXPLAINED) with more mature body swaps or injuries? Kusanagi's look distracted me from the mood of the chapter. but i did like how simplistic the storyline is in this chapter. we should expect details and nuance from each chapter to jumble up into a web of stand alone complex-esque greatness and complexity! i'm waiting to see how the story/characters develop before i get too upset about the Major's bangs, though... |
