| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I hate starts like this. I guess it was to introduce the new enemy's powers but I still feel very cheated. Not a complete recap since it was more about Yuuji in a dream world, but I would've prefer just getting straight into the new stuff rather than seeing a bunch of scenes from the first season with a little changes. But with that said, I'm glad Shana is back and hopefully we get to see some cool stuff in the future. |

| I don't think there's any sub out yet. I'm waiting for SS-Eclipse's but they just finished two big projects lately: the Shana movie two days ago and Hayate with its new OP-ED yesterday. Maybe they'll get right on it soon. |

| Eclipse released there sub not too long ago. I thought it was a pretty good first episode, considering how long its been since the first series aired the recap parts werent such a bad idea. Gotta say though the new OP and ED are really nice. I love how they had Mami Kawada do both of them this time. Her singing just seems to fit the anime really well. |

| This was a good intro for a 2nd season imo.. It was nice to see Yuji being smart ^^ OP/ED as always, awesome. Kawada Mami ftfw...thanks for the info on full vers OP ED :) Shana vs Yoshida starts all over again xD |

| I thought the episode was fine. I haven't seen the first season in quite a while, I honestly couldn't remember anything about the plot, ANYTHING. I had to go read up on it to remember -_- |

| True that it's been while since the first season aired, long enough to make us forget most of the stuff. And especially that Shakugan no Shana has one of the most complex terminologies ~de arimasu. (;> o<)Lucky me, I watched the first season a few months back and the newly subbed movie this past week. Now I'm prepared for this new season! Regarding episode 1, from my perspective, this was a really good kick off episode. Yuuji experienced déjà vu from past events, and he's on his own. As cyruz pointed, he has a terrific logic about these stuff for a sidekick. Speaking of which, the new Tomogara is probably not as tough as she looks. We know Shana always taken care of her foes saga after saga. The real enemy could be Bal Masqué. And for goodness’s sake, give up Yuuji, Yoshida-san. He’s a very useful Mystes recognized by and fighting alongside Flame Haze Shana and the Flame of Heaven Alastor. There’s Ike. He’s a smart, normal kid, and still “not dead” who never knew he was liked by Hirai-san. ...(( ._.) Not much more to be said. Yes, all the opening and ending songs are sweet! I can’t wait for more Shana. Shana! SHANAAA!!! |

| You know, I just realised this after watching this episode again but eclipse cut out that picture of Shana at the end of the preview! (Or maybe the raw they used had it cut out before hand? Who knows..) Thought I'd share the picture at the end for anyone who didn't watch the raw.. (Tis a big picture) Maybe I'm just far too obsessive over Shana but that is one really freaking cute picture of Shana IMO. |

| yuji not hearing shana = phail... first time shana actually acts like a normal person in from of him, and all lovey dovey or w/e.... yoshida... you should die, no offense ^_^ not minding the recaps... waiting such a long time to hear that "urusai, urusai, urusai" again, and watching shana eat melon bread = win. cant wait til yuji uses his "mystes" powers... *coughyujiyousuckfornotremeberingshana'swordscough* cannot wait til next ep... | I'm frustrated with the recap. I think it's just because I watched the movie because I wanted a bit of a refresher before the new season. I really loved the opening and seeing some random Wilhelmina though. I'm looking forward to seeing the story really kicking off next episode. |
