Nice to see a narration to kick off this episode. Heartseed is kinda creepy this episode but I liked the way he played that instructment. I think there's also a new character introduced but otherwise, it was a refreshing watch imo. The Taichi x Inaba moments @ the playground was a nice watch :>

No opening :|

At the very beginning, I thought this was the very-typical-I-can-hear-your-thoughts-arc. But then the situation got so intense. (Had to pause to take a breathe at a point). It doesn't even feel random, it's like targeting to complicate their relationships.

Nagase rejects Taichi. So far, I think that she doesn't have confidence in herself. As we can see in the episode, her image is somewhat "fake". "No, I'm not the person that Taichi sees."

>Now I sit and wait for 15 to be subbed :/

Sure jumped into the problem real fast.

Seems like this arc will focus more on Iori. Things got pretty intense mid-way but managed to clam down afterwards. Iori sure took a big jump in personality change from this episode to Ep 13. Aoki seems to possibly getting some sort of spotlight this episode as well, at least at the end.

I never knew that Heartseed could play that instrument like a boss. LOL

I feel so bad for Inaba and Inori. Their roles seemed to have switched from where we left off. Before Inaba was the closed off one, now it's Inori.

This show isn't as good as I thought it was. Silly, even. 13 episodes may have been all this show needed. Even so, I like the new dilemma Heartseed has put the characters in. The last one, I felt, lasted way longer than it should have and didn't have as much polish as its predecessors.

If not for the charterers' banal actions at times, I'd be more enthused to see how this show unfolds. Eh, we'll see.

Man, it was hard to watch that. Way too much drama and I seriously had that secondhand embarrassment from a bunch of things they said. Iori is being an annoying bimbo. I liked her in the TV series but now I'm rooting for Inaba.

It looks pretty clear that this is Iori's arc. We'll just have to see what her problem really is over the next three episodes because denial and avoidance seem to be all that she is doing now.

This was a really strong episode, serving as a particularly excellent opening for the concluding arc, as it explored an insight into several aspects of Iori’s foreshadowed characterization, as well as the struggles that have appeared in regards to her partially illusive “love” for Taichi. Although I rather enjoyed the previous arc, it was definitely inconsistent in quality, never quite reaching the heights of the first arc, since it was quite restrained in it’s storytelling. On the other hand, the “phenomenon” of this arc, along with the first, has considerable potential for producing some of the most compelling developments, and, though a transmission of emotions is somewhat contrived, it, similar to the majority of the other "gimmicks", hasn’t become a significant flaw.

Taichi’s introspective narration during the opening sequence was quite intriguing, as it immediately established the subtly melancholic tone that would permeate the rest of the episode. Though rather believable, it did somewhat appear that Taichi’s confession to Iori was potentially, for the most part, a desire for him to act on an emotion that he wasn’t entirely convinced of, instead appearing to partially be a necessary obligation. Thankfully, she rejected him, since their relationship had always felt devoid of any particularly romantic inclinations, due, in large part, to their seemingly artificial interactions.

My favorite sequence was Iori‘s emotional collapse of sorts, as she internally lashed out at the others, since it essentially depicted the unexpected culmination of Iori’s emotional fragility, and, combined with the unintentional reveal of Taichi’s confession to Iori, though predictable, these two developments created the most emotional moment in the episode, as it illuminated Iori’s hidden and rather cruel thoughts, while also illustrating a considerably sympathetic element of Inaba’s temporarily pained emotions. The ending was quite interesting, as it alluded to a heightened focus on Aoki as well throughout this arc, or, at the very least, an elevated prevalence of Yui and Aoki’s relationship.

Inaba continues to be my favorite character, by far, as she possesses the most likable and intriguing personality. As such, I loved the numerous elements of Inaba’s relationship with Taichi that were filtered into this episode, such as her telepathic confession of love for Taichi or their interactions at the park, as it allows for a more natural portrayal of their romantic progression. Of course, though significantly foreshadowed prior to this episode, it’s becoming increasingly evident that Inaba and Taichi are slowly developing into the central relationship within the story, which is thoroughly fantastic.

At first I thought mind-reading could be kinda fun... but this has brought out some epic drama. Man... Iori just needs to let loose and be more cool about this situation and not be some lone wolf character.

Great to see Inaba being more straightforward with her feelings. Totally brings her cuteness level up! Also sensing a Yui x Aoki pairing developing there.

That said... who knew Gossan could play jazz so well? Big surprise there haha
Heartseed saying that Aoki is the least interesting = most stable character out of the 5?

How could I forget abt Taichi's sis? Loved it when she gave Taichi her chocolates!

Although the thought transmission thing is not something as "troublesome" as the body switching and age changing, it's probably the worst of all. But I think this is also the most thought-provoking one, because I'm sure most people could relate to Iori in a way. I think I might like these 4 episodes more than the previous 13 :)

Things are really messy. Iori's real personality is really getting apparent due to this thought transmitting thing. What the hell did Inaba say that hurt Iori so much though? We didn't get to hear it.

I really like Inaba the most, especially after that scene where Taichi told her what he likes about her. Her reaction was so cute. I'm glad that Yui is finally starting to think about Yoshifumi too.

This are only getting messier if the preview is anything to go by.

What people are thinking and what they say are two different things most people keep there thoughts to themselves out of consideration.
This phenomenon takes away that consideration and it seems very selective on the thoughts being transmitted to the others it was clearly trying to create a gap between the group.
Since the thoughts that where being transmitted didn't seem random some of them where deliberately transmitted to the group which created distrust among the members.

Inaba's feelings being transmitted to the rest of the group wasn't such a bad thing however it got complicated ones Taichi thoughts got transmitted about his rejection.
The chocolate distribution was pretty funny especially the reactions within the group about it.
Glad we only have to give things the the person we love here.

Haven't seen this in a while!

I had thought this one would be the worse one yet, but by drawing from the previous arcs I think this episode managed to bring a good introduction to the arc.

The drama I felt was honestly borderline overloaded. It feels like a lot of themes ran through this episode but is presented strongly and clearly.

This episode was a roller coaster to watch, and when compared to the mess I found Kako Random to be, this seems to bring Kokoro Connect back up for a strong finale.

Wow, my heart is aching soooo much even after a day from watching this episode.

It really draws me to think about what is self, and what part of our interaction with others actually shows our desires. Is it the thoughts that go through or the voice that speaks out?

Almost everybody wears some sort of mask, and usually we have more than one depending upon the circumstances. And then, regardless of what we do and what we say, what people see and what they hear is often not what we would have thought they would have seen or heard.

Just thinking about it gives me a headache. That's why I prefer a bottle of scotch for company - we know what to expect of each other ;)

This episode makes you think: we are all just fakers hiding behind masks, lying and only saying things that will make you the least enemies, never really saying what we really want to say.

It's starting to get irritating when all the characters recoil whenever their thoughts are transmitted, considering one of the central themes of the show is about not hiding secrets and telling your friends about your problems.
