Well well, the decision of Kadomatsu was pretty agreeable. Kusaka should stop daydreaming and playing filthy. He's just taking advantage of knowledge. In other words he's ungrateful and a liar, who promised to help Mirai with their plan.

Loving this amazing series.

Exactly he couldn't handle himself. That's why most people don't really know what they'll do if they got the knowledge or the power? Everybody while he's weak could seem as perfect. But the challenge is when he gets the power. That's why a promise from a weak couldn't be taken as a truth !

Kadomatsu's anger is justified.

His trust in weapons officer, Kikuchi, is really strong (also they're childhood friends makes it much more redeemable.

Another notable fact, Tsuda on the verge of mental breakdown to perform a harikiri/seppuku (stomach cutting/suicide) showcasing his loyalty to imperial navy and his strong sense of justice which also beautifully acts as a foil to Kusaka's cunning plan. On more simple and nice animation touch of steam getting off the turrets of Yamato emphasizing it's lethal nature and it's weaknesses.

Another impending danger looming over the Mirai ship is it's limited firepower. All the missile sea sparrow, tomahawks all are less compared to the firepower of Yamoto. One a one vs. one fight they clearly are at a disadvantage! Plus these firearms are exhaustible as they are impossible to manufacture in this era.

I don't know why people write that they are approachable persons,
if you were you wouldn't be on MAL.

Extended families or lovers on MAL are a farce.

Yosuke is right on this one, whilst he and his crew have always stayed on one singular objective as does the Imperial Japanese Navy, Kusaka himself is going on and off various faction's sides as if he was a train going from one station to another. His ideal Zipan is nothing more than a naive and optimistic daydreaming all meant to satiate his selfish desires to control what will and what won't happen in this history.

On a more positive note, even as close as they are, Yosuke has a ton of trust in Masayuki's skills. Even if the percentage to intercept is at 100%, your instincts would still favour cowering behind a barrier rather than stare upon incoming doom, all the while being proud of his comrade no less.

Yusuke and Kusaka finished their verbal duel and then the Mirai stopped the Yamato from bombarding the beach...these two things took 20 minutes!? This show does dawdle sometimes.
