THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- OMG this one they skipped the whole how they go and the punishment. Overall ok but they skipped some things. Boo! OMG I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING! This is the first episode that one of Yuzuki's friends that is in the picture gets sent. At first I though the problem was the grand-mother but to think that BI*** controlled her! GRRRRRRRR! I though the grandmother was crazy! I WAS SO WRONG AT THE END! THIS NUTS! ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE NOW ARE GOING TO HELL! THIS SUCKS! ENMA AI I AM COMING TO KILL YOUR BOSS! ENMA! THE WORST is that I know ENMA AI IS DOING IT CAUSE OF HER BOSS AND HIS PROMISE OR DEAL. I AM SURE ALL WOULD AGREED WITH ME that if GOD would give the same thing Ai wanted then she would SAY "SCREW ALL THIS!" YEAH, HELL IS A SHIT HOLE THAT PUTS MORE SHIT ON YOU until you get what you want but GUESS WHAT THE SHIT AIN'T GONE. You will go back to it so that you get more things back. Those are of course at a price so pay up until oyu have them again then when you don't PAY AGAIN and I will give them to you. IT NEVER STOPS WANTING SOMETHING FROM YOU. Oh well! Overall ok but NOW I WORRY ABOUT THE REST OF THE PEOPLE ON THE PICTURE including Akie. THE GIRL WITH THE GLASSES IS GONE. The teacher got her but I wonder why not the grandmother. She was the one bitching at the teacher. I WON'T HIDE A FACT anymore.........I HATE HELL! What a sleazy girl that Ririka! That was stupid to enforce things like that. What complications! Damn! This being said LET'S SEE WHERE IT GOES. I think Enma will make Yuzuki all ALONE and say I am now you! NEXT EPISODE LOOKS good-------> Major problem that I make it my own: Students dating teachers. AYARASHI! HIGHLIGHTS! ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL TEACHER GOES TO HELL, I wonder if the message is girls MAKE YOU GO TO HELL? At first I though the problem was with the grandmother or the school staff. I UNDERSTAND the fact that someone calls you at night IT IS A PROBLEM! THAT IS UNTIL I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS SOB deceiving slut! Man she looked innocent at first! lonehunter88 said: hey where did u watch the 5th episode?? i cant find it streaming on any web~~~~ >.< >.< >.< Only torrents sry. Thanks I got it working now, on to the fun part: Comments made while watching: -Yuzuki: Oh no i met a new person, everyone I meet gets sent to hell T_T. This means I can never have a boyfriend. -"Ive never seen Niiyama-sensei upset before." Something tells me that you will very soon. -*picks up the phone* "Hello...hello?" Oh crap its the cat lady again! -*Niiyama walks into the room and everyone starts staring at her.* Need to get away? *She pulls out a snickers* -WOW, this old lady has some serious issues, not as bad as the puppet lady from season 1 but still, wow. -What is she the head of the local yakuza or something? -"Grandma becomes scary when she gets upset." Yeah that seems to be going around alot lately in Japan. (See Naraku no koro ni). -Its never occurred to me before but somehow I just know Ren has at one point or another been tempted to abuse his third eye...(use your imagination in a perverted way). -Ok listen lady you are calling me at 2am, introduction time stopped at midnight. -Im sensing some paranoia on the part of the old lady, perhaps a bit of bitterness too. -*falls out of his chair laughing* SHE IS ACTUALLY HANDING OUT FLIERS? SHE OFFICIALLY HAS NO LIFE! -*seeing her mailbox* Isnt that cause for a restraining order? -Yeah yeah reality sucks. -I love this teach to death (no pun intended) but she has some very poor tactics when it comes to solving disputes, do not talk to the old lady please. -I just had a brilliant idea, why dont we just let Princess Kikuri visit the old lady? Im sure that would go over well. ^_^ -...she has a security camera in her entry way... +1 Paranoia -Grandmother: "I'm Home" Oh shit, this can only end in tragedy... -"Sensei said she would harass me again" *Mouth falls open* And these are the kind of people that Hell Correspondence was made for, strings are gonna have to be pulled tonight! -Ai: "Im not done talking." Niiyama: "I know ill be taken to hell after I..." Ai: Thats not the point, I am supposed to say that, its in the contract! -Congratulations Niiyama-sensei you just set a new Hell Correspondence speed record, so you just won a free Nintendo Wii, all you have to do is click on the nintendo wii (seriously those ads make me want to strangle kittens). -*Yuzuki falls to the ground after the string is pulled.* Yup its back busting time, its just like Aliens, only reversed, and the host doesnt die. Post Episode Comments: Nice, probably the best episode of the season so far. As you can see from my comments I didnt realize it was the girl until the very end and im usually pretty good at predicting how things turn out so I am impressed. If this keeps up that school is going to be short on teachers. Very nicely written, though I kind of wish they would have actually shown the girl's punishment, but on the flip side it means Ai doesnt get to cosplay this time, it seems that is because she didnt get to finish her speech, poor Ai. Also that last scene with Yuzuki staring knowingly at Niiyama was great, nice and poetic just like this series has always been at its best. Verdict: I was planning to write about how the old lady deserved to go to hell only if she began seriously ruining the teacher's life. Its not right for someone so young to be damned for the sake of someone so old. Of course thats not how things turned out... My guess is that the girl has been spoiled to the point where she believes that its only right that other people should take the fall instead of her. That being the case she would have certainly caused problems for people throughout her life, especially as she got older since life gets harder. Sooner or later someone would have pulled the string on her so I guess its better sooner than later. Im gonna have to say guilty. She isnt the worst offender in the series (I award that prize to the fat lady who drowned the puppies in season 1) but she is definitely deserving of having her string pulled. |

Whoo, finally, this episode started to make up for the crappy episodes 3 and 4... I didn't think the girl would be the real culprit! I was expecting the grandma all the time... although Yuzuki ought to be more careful. Everyone she talks to will somehow make his way to the Hell Correspondence. But still, I lol'd how far the grandma would go in believing Ririka's lies. |
Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol. |

Finally a good episode. Though I had my suspicions, I never really thought the girl would be the one telling the lies and controlling her grandmother.. Though that is one really scary grandmother, going so far as calling at night and handing out fliers, and stuffing them in the mailbox of the teacher. I found it weird we didn't get to see the going to hell part and that it just cut to after that, it felt kind of cut off for me, like they didn't have enough time to finish it. At the end I kind of felt sorry for the grandmother, to never find out the truth and just lose her granddaughter like that.. |

i couldnt find it on veoh, somehow.. it's usually uploaded a day after broadcast there.. i wonder if they banned it >.< well, i managed to watch it on the chinese streaming website, tudou.com tho and i was soooooooo disappointed they didnt show how that little bi**h got sent to hell.. but then again, there are obviously better ways to make her pay... that stupid teacher is just too weak and stupid. nowadays, there are so many students like that bi**h.. she's just going to meet another one someday soon.. then she'll have to send her to hell by her own hands.. ^^;; it's weird that she could only think about the hell hotline when faced with such a situation.. a REAL adult would never do that.. a REAL adult would report it to the police first. then, ask yuzuki to testify against that slut.. but then again, it's the hell girl plot.. couldnt have made a better 1 in 25 mins i guess.. but i wish they made it longer, and made it more of a tragedy.. it just ended so quickly.. and yuzuki didnt do much again this episode.. all she was doing was sighing "sensei" >.< the next one is forbidden love between teacher n student.. lolz.. Enma has come to bring Japan's teens to hell for being lolicons and bit**es XD im expecting a lot more from the next episode !! |

I just wanted to add a good question for the FOOLISHNESS of the next episode------------->Teacher x Student.........I get............but the fact is that there are two students that love him................OK no problem so far BUT WTF is the girl going to do when the teacher says "Sorry I used you or I am married" when the other girl has already sent the other to hell????? I will tell you: either double suicide OR she was just a sucker to go to hell AND sensei is going to heavens! LOL that is going to be the irony! LOL like the other guy said.............DO looking forward to next episode. Serenti said: angel999 said: Ithe fact there are tow students that love him........ It wasn't just me was it? It wasn't just me who got suspicius and is thinking that Moku is the reason for the fight between the girls... right? Hold on it might be that he may influence but we don't know. Stay tuned I will report it once the RAW is out! I really want to see this. |

Yeah remember the deal was that if she sends a certain amount of people to hell she can return to her original body as she was at the time of her murder. Now you know that from season 1 and 2. Assuming that at the end of season she finished her deal.....she is supposed to have her body. What I think happened is shes broke the rules by sending that kid back to earth instead of hell. Remember one fo villagers did send that kid and so Enma Ai refused such and thus sent him back out of there. I think it's some new deal or a promise made by who she works for to have her original wish of being a normal girl. Now the question remains with does have to do with Yuzuki??? You get it now? |

YES, YES YES! THE MAGIC OF JIGOKU SHOUJO IS COMING BACK! I really liked this episode, 'cause it shows that THIS IS WHAT HELL IS MADE OFF. And i liked the fact that Ai didn't finish her speech. It's a change of pace, actually. Also, I was really surprised when Niiyama suddenly pulled the string, I thought that the grandmother would blame her cause she harassed her by going to the house. Thank goodness the grandmother saw her disappear. The only thing disappointing here is that THEY DIDN'T THE SCENE WERE AI AND THE OTHERS ARE TORTURING HER! Kinda let off, don't you think? Alos, the next episode kinda got me sighed, then not. I WANT TO KNOW IF AI WOULD SEND HONE ONNA TO HELL!! Oh well, but the next episode would be interesting too. |

I was surprised that Niiyama didn't let Ai finish talking XD But I like it 'cause it's different. . In fact, I wish they'd done this earlier, since the viewer already knows, so there's no need for her to repeat it every episode (I wonder if the voices are recorded every episode, or the reuse the same one. Was slightly disappointed to see that they skipped the taking to Hell part. But just the punishment, 'cause the ending part with her rowing is always the same, and it gets repetitive after a while. I don't mind that they skipped it to put more into the story. Although I wish they would've skipped on the transformation sequence (ie the back-busting scene) and used the time to show the punishment =S And the little girl was evil! I kinda had a hunch that she was telling her grandmother lies, since the grandmother got a different story. But I thought she was threatened by her grandmother or something.. But yeah, go to Hell spoiled kid! But it was her grandmother's fault too, for spoiling her. I thought at the end the grandmother was gonna jump out that window XD And they still haven't explained why Ai is back, where Yamawaro came from (and why he was added to the entourage. They needed a yellow doll to go with the blue, red, and black ones?), and why Kikkuri is back. And I'm guessing they'll never explain the connection between Ai and Tsugumi (Tsugumi showed up in season 2 near the end, seems she's connected to Ai somehow still).... =( haha, Ichimoku Ren with heart frame!! XD I wonder if it's Hone Onna that's coming between the girl and the "teacher" XD I don't think she's allowed to be sent to Hell, being one of Ai's entourage and all. Same with Yuzuki, maybe it'll just not work? |

Somehow I knew it was the girl the whole time. There's no way the Grandmother would freak out so much if the girl was telling the truth. She was just acting like any parent would for their child. This is the first episode so far this season that I approve of the person being sent to hell and it being entirely their fault. I do wish there was a torture scene in this episode though. |

I think the series is starting to really grow on me. And Ai didn't finish her speech because the teacher interrupted her and said she alredy knew and was ready for it. People did that in season 2 as well, except they didn't really care and didn't realize there was a price to pay. Anyways, I liked this episode. The motive wasn't like in the previous episodes, it was pretty understandable. And I liked the plot twist, with the girl being the one to tell thing to her grandmother. And seeing as how this episode didn't show the hell the girl went for before Ai takes her to hell, I think things will be picking up pace soon. That's what it felt like this episode. And I've also started seeing things in this episode which reminded me of previous ones. Like when the phone rang at night, it made me remember the story with the cat from last season. After that Irealised that Yuzuki reminds me of Tsugumi, though it is different. angel999 said: OMG I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING! I guess I'm the only person that really prefers punishments being left out of Jigoku Shoujo. I felt that's one of the main reasons Futakomori really shined. It was more focused on an actual story and the line of hatred, leaving out the frankly hard-to-take-seriously punishments. I prefer seeing Ai just ferry the person to hell in the end. Futakomori IMO had the best set up through most of the episodes. I like that Ai got interrupted this time. My feeling on this episode was that the teacher was in the wrong or an idiot. Get a new job, going to hell over something like this is stupid. It's hard to tell from such a short time frame, but that student appeared to be a sociopath so maybe it was for the best ;P A good episode though, one of the better ones of the past five. |

i don't understand that kid's motives at all. WHY would she even want to lie to her grandmother, and watch her stress over nothing? they really didn't explain her that much, which makes it so much easier to hate her (which i most certainly do). i feel awful for her grandmother. she was crazy paranoid, but just for her granddaughter's sake, because she fed so many lies to her. rot in hell!~ i'm tiring of the butterfly sequence as well, and i'm disappointed that they didn't AT LEAST show her being ferried off. it would have been nice to see her reaction to being taken to hell. main plotline needs to get into action already! |

WTF why do grandparents spoil their grandchildren? I have seen it too many times and this ep is ridiculous, that the grandmother complains the teacher scolding their students? I mean, COME ON! Did that grandma ever get scolded when she was a kid? Fingers will not be enough to count it; if not, she was spoiled to the root. And even now, who does she think she is? God? O, okay, i see, she knows everything, she is the smartest of all humans. I see. She knows scolding is bad because it hurts her grandchild. I see. How smart! As a result, she is the one responsible for making her child spoiled, rotten to the root... What is up with this school anyways? Treating parents like emperors? Btw, would you want working with someone who uses lies and empty promises to get away with their jobs? |

I wonder why they skipped the "punishment" scene. |

Hmmm I certainly wasn't expecting that the girl would be such a b*tch. |

I thought the grandma was going crazy from old age, but it was because of the student. :/ |
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.~ |

WTH, they skipped the whole punishment scene. I would've loved to see what happened to the little spoiled brat. Putting that aside, Ichimoku Ren makes for one HOT teacher. *drool* |

Yeah, the feeling is... almost the same. Remember first season? People were sent to hell, and most of the times you wouldn't say this reason was enough. Like you hate your classmate for stealing money from you and then teasing you. Yeah, now we see such an episode again. And yeah, it had bittersweet end. The teacher sends student to hell. If she tried this in season 2, she'd definitely be the one who's sent to hell. So I wonder if the boy was actually the one who needs always to blame someone for something, or he really did it, just because his grandma needed it = Anyways, I'll say again - we got our bittersweet ending. This are actually my favorite moment about Jigoku Shoujo. When divine interruption is accessible to you, there are no such things as moral laws - everything that matters is your own judgement. Although, compared to the episodes from season 1 or Futukamori, which are alike, this one is not done too good, not speaking of best way to do it, but still I hope we'll get more of this. |
